Exceptional food. The chef is NOLA native but has travelled all over and that is evident in the recipes. The way he has adopted the taste from his travel is amazing. Try any dish and you will be happy.

Great to see a restaurant like this in the new orleans area. Very good food. Very good service.

I think the place is overhyped and overpriced. It is a good concept restaurant, but you have to wait for a long time as they just have a few tables. Be prepared to sit just next to the kitchen if all the good places are taken. The food was good and tasty, I liked the Utthapam.

Awesome. We got there right when they opened on a Saturday morning(after deciding we didn’t want to wait in Café Beignets long line.) Seated outside immediately. Loved the ambiance of the quiet alley. The food was super good.

I went to the Green Goddess just looking for some semi-healthy food after a day of eating heavy New Orleans food. The Green Goddess exceeded my expectations. Coming from Seattle, I am aware of good«healthy» food. The setting was exceptional, and everything on the menu seemed very good and well thought out, and the food I ordered was exactly what I needed.

Great little quiet spot! A few blocks away from busy bourbon street. It is definitely not fancy but cute. The food is clean and healthy. The drinks are refreshing and creative. It is definitely different from your usual NOLA spots. So if you want to get a break from cheesiness and heaviness of traditional NOLA dishes, this is the right spot for you. They use local organic meats! The servers reminded me of Brooklyn, they all looked like hipsters and were not very friendly and smiley but very cool in their seriousness and professionalism.

Very disappointing! We went here because of the vegetarian options. Although it had several options, the two things we ate were subpar. We ordered the beet hummus with vegetables. The vegetables were dry and looked and tasted like they had been cut days ago. Glad I didn’t get a salad if that is the kind of vegetables they serve. The hummus also tasted like jarred garlic. I prefer fresh garlic. We also ordered the vegetarian Cuban luau. It was okay but had an interesting flavor that tasted like clove. There was no mustard on it and lacked flavor overall. There is only outside seating with a view of the alley. I would recommend going somewhere else.

3.5 stars Green Goddess is probably the only vegetarian place in the French Quarter so I was thrilled to find it on Unilocal after several meals of fried foods and po’ boys. Don’t get me wrong, NOLA has some great food, but after awhile, you need a break ;). I ordered the duck breast salad($ 12), which was pretty good, but the portion was really disappointing. For $ 12, I expected a bit more. I guess you can’t order a salad for a meal here because you’re guaranteed to still be hungry after. Luckily, I also ordered the beet hummus($ 8), which was absolutely delicious. It tasted extremely healthy, but I was surprised at how good it was! I would definitely recommend that as a starter and would get it again if I ever find myself there in the future. Bottom line, thank goodness for this healthy alternative, especially the hummus, but that disappointing salad is why I’m teetering between 3 and 4 stars. Five thin slices of duck, a date over a small bed of greens. That really should’ve been less than $ 10 or at least make the portion slightly larger, but I guess quality over quantity? I don’t know, I expect to be at least somewhat satisfied after spending $ 12, but without that hummus, I was far from that.

Good food in a really nice location — tucked away down a side street. We were greeted right away and seated promptly. The watermelon burratta salad was good and I liked the sticky tofu dish as well. The portions are large and everything was really fresh and tasty. We came on the early side of dinner and as more diners stopped by they just added more tables and chairs each time all the way down the street!

Not bad, not great. Take a look at all the reviews. While it has a good number of 5 star reviews, it also has 145 from 1 – 3 stars. The average rating has also dropped significantly as of recently. Service: Arrived 10 minutes before they opened at 11am. Rather than saying, «Hey, grab a seat and I’ll be over in 10 minutes» we got, «We’re open in 10 minutes.» Soooo, am I supposed to come back? Do you want me here? Hi, I’m a customer, nice to see you, too! I’m not sure why we stayed, but we did. They were out of Cold Brew Coffee, and Boudin Patties(similar to a sausage). Ok, lame service and 0⁄2 on menu items. I’m not sure why we stayed, but we did. it got a little bit better. A little. Food: The Watermelon Burrata Salad was delicious. Salty watermelon, almonds, and a creamy burrata cheese was just what we needed. Props for having vegan food in the group think death spiral of NOLA po boy culture. I’ll give a star for that. The biscuits were floppy and not all that great. They substituted the boudin patties for pork patties. They did ask before hand, but eh, it was like eating at a Hardy’s. Runny flavorless grits. The crab boil poached eggs just tasted like poached eggs. Were these supposed to be special? Setting: Mid meal it rained so we were brought to the inside seating area, which is literally like the foyer of an apartment building. It smelled like feet and mold in there. I wanted to leave. Put a fan in there? We finished our meal quickly. This spot only gets traffic because it’s in the French Quarter. Many people will tell you to come here. Go somewhere else. Skip a meal. Yeahhhh not great. Up your game, guys. Update: Annnnd I’ll drop down to one star after receiving«You’re an Idiot» commentary from someone in New Orleans. Harrison B. may or may not be connected to the restaurant, but let this inform your trip to this place and the type of people who patronize it.

I ordered the Freekah salad. It was so tasty. I came in with a to go order and the staff was super friendly and helpful. It’s seriously the only healthy place around. I loved the ambiance of the place. I will definitely visit this establishment again.

We arrived @ 11am to only to be told that that restaurant is closed !!! Poor customer service. We arrived right at 11:00, when the restaurant opened and were asked«what so you want?». Next, we asked where the menu was and was told that it was outside. Outside !!! That’s real descriptive . We got served and the food was delicious !!! Order beet hummus, tofu po boy, and Creole kale. Yummy. After the meal was done, we were told the credit card machine was down !!! Luckily we had enough to cover the meal :-)

Very odd service… as in I’m going to come to your table and not say a thing. That was OK, i had a hellish trip to NOLA and was ready for some decent food and was able to convey what I wanted to eat. It was delicious! Fresh, tasty and dare I say health? I had the beet hummus(served with veggies — yes!), and the indian pancake thing. They were both amazing. As someone who had to live off gross conference food, my tummy and soul were ecstatic to discover this place.

Good vegan option near Bourbon Street. I ordered their beet hummus and a salad after a night of enjoying New Orleans a little too much. It was really good, especially the beet hummus. My only qualm was that it was a little expensive for what it was. I spent more than $ 20 on an appetizer and a salad.

New Orleans dining for health conscious(or not) foodies! Amaze balls. Love this place ;) I literally just drank a beet juice and mezcal cocktail… Then ate a tofu poboy. This place has absolutely perfected their vegan dishes and cocktails! Ps. My dad LOVED his duck poboy.

Delicious food, great service, and perfect location! We hit Bourbon street for a little bit, and then snuck away to this place for dinner and it was sooo good. They have meat options too, but the vegan stuff is terrific(and I’m not even Vegan!) I think their menu must rotate or something, because I’m pretty sure what I got isn’t on there and I can’t remember exactly what it was called. It was some kind of savory pancake thing(but pretty sure not that South Indian one! I’m Indian, I would know!!) which was really good, and I really don’t recognize the other names on the menu either so unfortunately I can’t help with what to get. BUT for dessert, I can tell you to definitely get the apple cheese crêpe/whatever. So we ordered that and the guy accidentally gave us the chocolate cheese french toast, which we ate and was ALSO delicious, but then he felt bad and gave us the apple one, which was EVENBETTER! But we also made him help us eat it, because that’s too much food. Anyway, the locations a little small, but its cute and highly recommended! They have a good selection of cocktails too, but we refrained since we had about 10 hrs of drinking ahead of us: P

If I ever told anyone I went to a vegan/vegetarian restaurant when I was on vacation in NOLA, they would look at me as if I’m crazy. But my girls and I were looking for an healthier option since we were eating too much good BUT heavy foods for every single meal(you know that feeling when you just eat to the point where you hate yourself but can’t stop because all the food you’re consuming is just too darn good?). We found this place thanks to Unilocal and upon walking in, this place is really a hole in the wall. But it didn’t matter to me because everything else was excellent. I do want to point out that this isn’t just a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. There is meat! Very good meat! So meat lovers, you can enjoy this place as well, no excuses to not come here :) We got the soup of the day to start — sweet potato bisque which was really tasty. For mighty greens we ordered the Beet Burrata Kale salad and the Freekeh Salad. I enjoyed both but I would say the Beet Burrata was much better(roasted nuts, barberries topped with burrata, roasted beets and kale). I could become vegetarian/vegan for this salad. too bad I can’t execute a salad as awesome as Green Goddess, maybe one day! That burrata… mmmmm! For entrees we got the Palapas Pork and the Rabo De Torro(Oxtail). I highly recommend both dishes — everything that came with the entrees were delicious. But if you are looking for something light and healthy, don’t order the Rabo De Torro because although the grilled manchego over fingerling potatoes were phenomenal, it was very heavy. And there’s always room for dessert! We ordered the Bruleed Banana Foster Split which is vegan — made with coconut sorbet. My girls and I don’t like super sweet desserts and this was perfect. It was light and not overly sweet. We killed it all. I’m not sure how the cocktails are because we didn’t have any. We were still feeling the effects from the previous night if you know what I mean lol. But definitely check this place out if you are in NOLA. They have so much variety for everyone(vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and meat lovers)! The service was excellent. Small joint so there may be a wait at times but luckily not for us! I do believe they have additional seating in the back of the restaurant.

Oh my Goddess! Lame, I know. Still, it changes nothing about the fact that I probably had the best thing I’ve eaten for breakfast in recent memory. I’ve passed here many times over the years because nothing about it screamed that I just had to go inside for food; boy was I wrong. So let me get straight to the point; the Acadian breakfast is what you want in ya life. Two sweet potato biscuits, boudin sausage, bacon bits, fried egg, Steens cane syrup and a house made pepper jelly to garnish, phenomenal! Everyone at our table ordered it except for one brave soul who got the Bruleed Apple Cheddar French Toast and shared our sentiments towards his choice in that. This is a review that came late, I’ve been two more times since the first visit and they’ve remained consistent with everything. One other time I had a special which was oxtail with a salad… there was more but I’m terrible at remembering what’s on my dish but just trust me, it was bomb! But that Acadian breakfast is easily one of my favorite, recent discoveries. Do it.

Really happy with our brunch at Green Goddess on our last day in NOLA. Though we did have to dine outside on a very chilly and gloomy morning, the food was bright and warm. I ordered a dish with fluffy sweet potato biscuits, boudin patties, truffle grits, a pepper jam and hickory syrup. So many unique flavors and textures. I poured the syrup over the patties and biscuits which offered a sweet/savory combo of flavors and soft yet crispy(from the patties) texture. The pepper jelly added sweetness and heat to the flakey biscuits. My fiancé ordered the special, which was priced a bit high at $ 17, but did enjoy his sort of meat stew over grits topped with a poached egg and biscuit. Paired with hot tea and warm service, our meal demolished the cold weather.

Green Goddess for the win! Once you’ve sampled all the po’ boys, oysters, and bread pudding your belly can handle, you absolutely must make your way to Exchange Alley for drinks and a meal at Green Goddess. Their menu, aptly described as «uninhibited cuisine and spirits,» is fresh and imaginative. Each dish is just as lovingly prepared as K-Paul’s or NOLA’s, but the atmosphere is super chill, which is a nice change from the usual white linen table cloths and servers with bow ties. We started with cocktails(The Pinch Hitter: Pims, vodka, cukes, lime, celery bitters, soda, with a celery salt rim and The Grandstand: bourbon, Domaine de Canton, lemon, verbena syrup served over snoball ice… both were outstanding) and the boudin & duck sausage charcuterie plate. Wow! Seriously, we savored every single bite. I enjoyed the tofu musubi for my entrée, which was a giant portion of lemon grass pepper tofu, perfectly prepared over purple rice, with all kinds of pickled goodness and seasoned greens and other awesomeness. So much flavor and very filling. The hubs couldn’t decide what to get, so our server suggested the wasabi tuna, topped with caviar and served over local greens and Thai chili pickled turnips. Holy snap, I tried a bite and it was a little party in my mouth. Unfortunately we had tickets for the burlesque festival and were running a bit late. Otherwise we would’ve stayed for another round of drinks and the notorious bacon sundae. Green Goddess does not pretend to offer a traditional Cajun-Creole menu and they don’t make apologies for their laid-back, DIY, bohemian atmosphere(the hubs affectionately referred to them as «punk as f*ck»). But they do promise an exceptional meal from start to finish, and guess what… you will not be disappointed.
