This review is specifically for the incredible experience and customer service I received from Natalie at this store. She was so amazing and sweet from the moment we walked in the store. She was attentive and great at recommending different items to us to check out (without being overly salesy or annoying at all.) We must have checked out over a dozen different necklaces and jewelry items from the case. She walked us through each piece, explaining the process, the material used, the time period the objects were from, etc. We were having so much fun shopping with her we didn’t even move on to other stores, we spent most of our time here. We ended up leaving with several beautiful pieces and I found a few clothing items I love too! Thank you Natalie! I am a huge fan of Grandmother’s Buttons because of her and look forward to shopping online for more great pieces!

So… had no idea about this store till I popped over after visiting Little Flea NOLA at Sophie B. Wright Park. Mildly obsessed.
I think the name throws people off. Here are a few notes:
1 — It’s not a consignment store. No, they’re not selling grandma’s clothes here.
2 — YES, they sell buttons! Jewelry with buttons, buttons that you can make into pendants, really friggin’ cool buttons.
3 — Some of the clothing has a «if you’re grandma was real chic» look about them, but, again, not consignment or smelling of moth balls.
The store has this Anthropologie/​Urban Outfitters way about it (and apparently the brand «Grandmother’s Buttons» has global reach), but this is actually a regionally-​owned store with the first store opening in St. Francisville in 1994.
Men, do not be afraid of Grandmother’s Buttons. They have great manly gifts from locally-​made El Guapo Bitters, books, and old school toiletries. They also have some nice little things for fur babies as well!
I think the store pricing is on point especially for Magazine Street, and they have a great collection of gifts, jewelry, clothing, and accessories for the kitchen and home. I will definitely be back!
