Pretty good place to grab a bite in the low budget side, wife and 3 kids plus my self for below $ 50 bucks,

We used to frequently come to this Dots location for breakfast at least twice a week. But we have noticed the past few times, the quality of food has went down drastically. We went at the beginning of April and got the steak and eggs. Steak tasted like beef jerky, the eggs were busted and the hash browns tasted overdone. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she seemed annoyed at our issues so we just took our food to go and threw it away when we got home. I will not be back until their quality resumes to its old great ways.

Although it has been well over 10 years since my last visit — I always forget about Dot’s, it was as if I went back in time. The biggest challenge here is the parking. There is very little off-street parking & the location sits right on the edge in the residential area. Also, prepare to be accosted by a panhandler or two going both in and out. Those are the only negatives. The coffee was strong & hot. Kathy had the Lumberjack($ 7.99) which is aptly named. I chose the Crawfish Creole Queen($ 8.99) which can best be described as a southern style crawfish Bennie. I added a side of bacon(it came out extra crispy — just a bit overdone for me). This is a 24 hour joint with breakfast ’round the clock. I love that. The tables are wobbly, the chairs mismatched, and the joint is a bit cramped, but for certain friends out there — this is proof the world does not end at the parish line. You know who you are!

Our food took forever for them to make and we were the only dine in customers that late night. There were customers who walked in and ordered food to go and their meal came out before us even if we ordered dine in wayyy before on some of them. Had pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon and it came only with two slices of pork and it was dry and tough, the garlic bread was too salty. We ordered onion rings and they were good and the lady took it off our bill since we waited for a long time. She was soo nice and I really wanted to like this place but never again.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat, and loved it. Nothing fancy, but very cute! Prices were great too. The staff was amazingly kind. They gave great recommendations, were very accommodating, very attentive, and kept the place clean. I’d recommend anyone come here for a quick bite midday! The seafood omelette was delish, as well as the strawberry banana malts!

My friend was having a bad day so just stopped in to have coffee. I just had to have the lunch special that day, boy was it yummy. REDBEANS. Service was friendly as can be. Left with smiles on our faces.

This place was awful. I went because it was the only place open late at night. Burger and fries were horrible and I got an apple pie which tasted like it came out of a refrigerated box.

I had a Big Dot Burger. The patty tasted like sirloin, the lettuce & tomato fresh and the bun soft lightly toasted. It was better than I expected.

Walking distance from the KOA where we were staying. The breakfast was so delicious and the service was top notch. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and some breakfast croissant sandwiches. We had our dog so they let us eat on their grassy patch outside and brought our meal to us. So friendly. Would definitely recommend

Went here with my wife the other night. It was a toss-up between Dot’s and the Waffle House on the other side of Metairie. We opted for Dot’s. Not really too much to say about the place. It’s open 24 hours a day and the food is pretty good. It’s sort of a dive, but the service was nice. I would suggest this place for any late night dining for cheap.

Well it was a mixed bag at Dot’s Saturday morning. I had the country(with high standards, as I’m originally from bama and grew up on biscuits n gravy). It was pretty solid. The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy. The sausage was kinda weird looking(see picture) but I’m fine with that. My dining partner had some problems. His scramble was cold. Like, can’t melt the American cheese between the layers of potatoes cold. They didn’t check on us for like ten minutes after they dropped the food so he had to watch me stuffing my face with gravy for a bit before they handled the situation. We said«this needs to be microwaved a little if you don’t mind» and they said«okay» and took it. No sorry, no why. Lol oh well. They were really nice about it. I might go back but he wouldn’t.

What can I say?! I love this place. The staff has always been friendly and it feels like home. It’s one place I feel comfortable going to all by my lonesome when hunger sets in on a late night. Certainly beats fast food. Omelets are great! I always get breakfast food and it never disappoints. You can even get chocolate chips on your pancakes which I love. It reminds me of being back at grandma’s house.

Food is pretty good for an all night place. We came in twice for to go orders during a weekend trip while staying in the area. Service was unenthusiastic. I guess the lady was just overwhelmed. My husband did not care for his grits, but my burger was decent and the prices were OK for what you get. I guess if you come in late and have been drinking, you might not care if the service is not«warm & fuzzy» LOL.

This is my favorite retro diner! Slider breakfasts and burgers. Atmosphere is 1950s retro that reminds me of childhood road trips. No frills, teach-your-arteries-who’s boss burgers. No-nonsense waitresses, 1950s diner atmosphere flanking a U.S. Highway with pay-by-the-hour hotels. A real treat if you’re in the mood(yes, those!). A great, thematic place for a high value breakfast or lunch!
