This is a lovely little playground that offers a nice alternative to Audubon park… There is a large play area for smaller children(2 – 5) so toddlers don’t have to worry about getting run over. There are four baby/toddler swings and even on a nice Saturday your kid can usually score one(so no waiting while the munchkin begs to take a turn on a swing when there’s 200 other toddlers also in line)… The larger play area has a kid-sized climbing wall, twisty slides, and lots of stuff to climb on and explore. Benches scattered around give moms and dads a place to relax while the kids play. Pick up an iced latte at a coffeeshop over on Magazine then come let the kids play themselves wild while you sit on a bench writing Unilocal reviews… That’s what I did…

Great spot I love taking my daughter to on weekends. The best part is that it’s close enough to Audobon Park that it’s never super crowded. The equipment is all in great shape and there’s a big soccer/football field as well. Other than inconsiderate people letting their dogs crap in the playground I have no complaints

I swore I wrote a review of this little park, but it seems to have disappeared. This is a great park to play on a swingset or a slide. Yes those are mostly for kids, but I tried to convince E that we should try the swings out while we were walking by this week… and then I realized what Jean-Paul put in his review… all the non-toddler swings are gone, which is sad. There still open green space at the back of the park so that’s something.

After being decontaminated for lead in 2011, the Danneel Playspot is back and better than ever, in many ways putting other nearby parks to shame. All new playsets, but only 4 toddler swings — no other swings for any other age group. This has traditionally been a great greenspace located in the middle of Uptown and watching the streetcar roll by is always fun too! I’d bring my kids more if we lived within walking distance.
