I went to the New Orleans City Park Administration building on Friday, April 3, 2015 close to 11am in the morning, because I was lost, and there was a fair to light tan skin old man with some gray hair working there who was extremely rude. He was also wearing a light blue shirt that day. I knocked on the glass door of the building to ask for help, and he opened the door and raised his voice annoying at me several times saying«We’re closed». He wouldn’t let me finish the first three words coming out of my mouth, and he didn’t know what I needed help with. I was with a toddler, and I just stared at him with shock and disappointment, because he didn’t want to even hear what I had to say or ask. Then I said as fast as I can«We are lost. Do you know where the Easter Egg Hunt is?». He said he didn’t know where it was, and then I asked him for directions to Storyland, because I heard the Easter Egg Hunt was held near there. He gave me fast and confusing directions, like he didn’t want to spend anytime helping me. He then had to take a phone call on his cell phone right after. I swear, he is one of the most rudest person that I ever met in Louisiana. He really did not want to help, because he didn’t want to let me finish at least three words coming out of my mouth when he first saw me. I am wondering if he initially tried to blow me off and not want to help me is because he is a racist, or if possibly he didn’t want to help me because it is not his job and he wasn’t going to get paid for it. Beware of this man if you ever bump into him. I don’t know if he was the building maintenance man or what his job title was. But I am surprised that he was so aggravated and irritated to help me and the toddler child get directions to the Easter Egg Hunt. He obviously hates helping children and people. I felt that he was a cruel and evil person, and if he ever saw someone who needed help or urgent medical help, he would definitely be the type of person who would let them die. If a person does not benefit him in some way, such as paying him money, he wouldn’t give them the time of day. I swear, I hate bumping into evil selfish people like him. People like him are never a role model for children, and I do not sense that a lot of children will smile around him or view him as a kind hearted friendly role model. It is no wonder the world keeps getting worse, when you bump into people like him. This City Park needs to put up more bigger and better user-friendly signs for visitors to see, so people can find their way around this confusing area. Louisiana in so many ways is so unorganized. I never get lost at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, because they have a lot of better user-friendly signs. The state of Louisiana very is far behind in many ways, compared to California. The term Southern Hospitality is a bunch of bull crap in Louisiana. It would be helpful if City Park had a lot of big map signs that show areas of the whole park, and on big map sign it could have a star indicating that the lost person is right now here at a particular spot, similar to those large map signs at the shopping malls.
