Chris’ donuts are hands down the best. Their donuts have the right ratio of lightness to fluffiness to taste. Other donut places have dense, sugary confections that leave you feeling stuffed. I could eat a ½ dozen and not feel guilty because they are so delicious. Chris’ donuts is the bar to which I measure any other donut I would happen to eat.

The donuts were delicious but the worker, Mr. Oscar, was very slow. When asking about cake choices, he was not helpful at all. When I wanted to taste wedding cakes, he did not take me seriously. I am appalled at the service provided by Mr. Oscar. As a local, I expected more from local businesses as this.

Amazing donuts! However they say they offer waffles for the breakfast but never have it. They do a hell of job on cakes the taste is so fresh and moist…

Donuts are okay at a reasonable price. But not a lot of other option right nearby.

Really good donuts!!! My favorites are the glazed jelly and the twistie. The cakes are a little spongy for my liking but very affordable. This place can get really crowded on the weekends.

I’ve never seen a donut with such a small selection, it’s either glazed or chocolate covered. The donuts are heavy with grease. We will look for another place to grab donuts while we are in the area, By reading other review the bakery is what keeps this place open because donuts aren’t their speciality.

Oh this place is awesome. I could reach it from my apartment when I lived in. NOLA east. I fell in love with rainbow bluebell ice cream! My first time and I was addicted! Anyway this was my chill lounge first few days I arrived in NOLA east, so I was so happy to find anywhere I can reach by foot since I did not know how to take the bus yet. This place had food where I tried a pinky for the first time. Not my thing. Kind of like a patty hoagie or something but just a different name for it. Also I saw the wedding or cermony room next door that they also rent out! OMG it was sooooo gorgeous! Yep I totally recommend.

I love donuts and finally decided to try Chris donuts after hearing raving reviews regarding their cakes. This review is strictly regarding their donuts. I ordered half a dozen and it was thrown in a paper bag. I would have preferred the donuts in a box. It’s a better presentation and allow the donuts to keep their shape. The donuts seems to be a modified version of tastee donuts(mckenzie’s bakery) with less sugar in their dough. The shop was very small and cluttered. There seems to be a lot going on in the shop. It’s a donut, cake, and hot food place. I’m not exactly sure if I will return for donuts, but I might have to try their cakes one day.

Great, delicious, moist cakes! They are very fresh, and you can get your own unique design in 10 – 15 minutes. They are my go to for birthdays! I wanted to deduct a star because although the lady is very friendly and nice, the man is not. He wasn’t very helpful in planning my cake for my teenage son either. But I decided to leave the star because I don’t eat anyone else birthday cake unless it comes from here.

I agree with the other reviewers Chris’s does excellent cakes and also has some really good donuts. It is not the cheapest place but you are getting quality baked good here and that should count for something! A good choice if you are in the East and looking for a good bakery.

i like this place its very nice compared to some places in new orleans east/chef menteur and bullard. it reminded me very much of La Madeline without the cafeteria style setup. my family and I meaning my sis and bros love their cakes soo much that we drive all the way from the westbank for it when its someones birthday. i love their petit four collection they are as good as Creative Cakes.

A great little strip-mall bakery that does sandwhiches and a few other items for lunch. The bakery has a decent selection, and is good for donuts and muffins. Food is generally pretty good and quick. Service is very friendly and personal(have often received a free plate of donuts to hold us over while we wait, though I suspect this is because we a work-group of regulars). Price usually ends up under ten bucks for a sandwhich/fries/drink. In and out in a half hour if you’re sitting to eat.
