Budget Blinds was everything we could have asked for in service and execution. Joey was here on time and went right to work, getting our entire job completed perfectly. The Budget Blind product came just as described(correct measurements, style, and amount), and as well, Joey was an cordial and positive individual who treated my roommate and I like old friends. If ever there is another job we need completed by Budget Blinds, we will not hesitate to call, and if possible, request that Joey do the install again; things couldn’t have gone better, and definitely stand behind my recommendation.

I have motorized shades on a timer and the timer broke. Joey was able to replace and program the new Chronis RT1 to lower and raise my shades to protect my furniture and hard wood floors from the sun. Joey is patient and extremely knowledgeable and got this done with a minimum amount of time and hassle. Thanks Joey!

I’m very happy with the services from Budget Blinds. The salesperson Sally came out and showed samples of the products and explained pros and cons of each very well. She took all the measurements and placed the order. Joey kept me informed as to order status and installation schedule. The installation guys arrived on time and did everything quickly and cleaned up as they worked. All in all a great experience. Thanks.

First off, Sally — the salesperson — is the bomb. She actually talked me out of the expensive blinds I first wanted and into some much nicer and less expensive solar shades that go better with the look of my place. The installation was quick and not too messy and the shades are great looking and keep the hot side of my house much cooler. Would definitely recommend.

I have never been so unsatisfied with the customer service in any company as I was with this one. This company is disorganized, was always at least 1 hour late to any appointment, and incompetent(Sally the consultant came and measures my blinds incorrectly which caused a 4 weeks delay). The woman who answers the phones and schedules appointments has no clue what she is doing, when I told some of the installers of the problems I had with her, they told me that most customers feel this way. Bottom line — I would pay much more from another company to not deal with this level of ineptitude again. And they were not cheap at all — 3 windows with solar shades for $ 2500…

I would like to preface my detailed review with saying that I am overall pleased with the end product(basic aesthetic & energy efficiency). However I would never recommend this SERVICE to anyone I know, nor would I use them again. When my shades need to be replaces, I will consider using a service 3x the price of budget blinds. Allowing this company to complete any additional work for us would be an insult to stupidity(said nicely). Top complaints: (1) excessive time wasted on a pretty basic install(see details below) (2) not knowing their products or appearing to have a standardized ‘checklist’ of key information needed to complete their install (3) worst, i have never been spoken to so poorly as I was by the personnel at budget blinds. 1st visit, an employee of Budget Blinds visited our condo to take measurements & determine desired products & mounting preferences. This person arrived reasonably within the scheduled time –within normal business hours. This visit was satisfactory. 2nd visit(several weeks after 1st visit), 2 employees from budget blinds arrived past what would be considered reasonable. When presenting the product for mounting, the staff were professional but quickly determined that the products were incorrectly sized. The staff who took the measurements did not take the measurements from the correct point within the window frame. They were too large for the blinds & needed to be installed outside the frame as they did not fit. It is reasonable to say that any experienced interior design professional should have the foresight to measure precisely where the product should be mounted— as opposed to arbitrary points on the wall/window frames. Wanting to quickly complete their install & collect payment, the installer & person responsible for incorrectly ordering our blinds convinced me to accept the incorrectly sized blinds(mounted outside the window). My boyfriend(condo owner) & I were desperate for shades due to the heat & agreed to allow them to install the blinds they ordered. The blinds were installed outside of the window frames, we were charged in full for the work and the end result was not aesthetically acceptable. Unhappy with our $ 3,000 purchase for 3 basic window coverings, we called Budget Blinds to demand they come back & complete the work they were originally contracted to do(mount the blinds from within the window frames). The personnel present at install were professional & assured us this would be taken care of. Countless calls and emails took place between an administrative staff & my boyfriend before an installer could be schedule to come back out to take the blinds down. 3rd visit, after aforementioned unpleasant correspondence with an administrative staff at Budget Blinds, it was determined that an employee would be present at our condo any time BEFORE1pm on xyz date. By 2:30 pm on the scheduled date, I called Budget Blinds to tell them that I simply could not wait anymore & would have to reschedule. The correspondence between the 3rd and 4th visits were among the worst. The administrative staff incorrectly tried to place blame on us, the customers, for their missing the scheduled appointment. My boyfriend became increasingly frustrated with the service & turned all the logistics over to me. I called their office to explain to them to only call me, to use me as the point of contact, etc etc. At this point the administrative staff actually insulted my boyfriend, calling him«stupid» & made other similar disparaging remarks. These encounters with the administrative staff caused us to escalate things… we got management involved. 4th visit, the same person who ordered the blinds and the local owner came over to reassess the install(approx 45 minutes past the scheduled time). They agreed the measurements were done incorrectly. They also inquired about the poor service, I explained to them the encounters. They were extremely apologetic, ensured this would be fixed and advised that we only contact them for further service. The explained that they would schedule their expert installer(from Chicago) to come out and fix the unsatisfactory work. They explained that this expert installer who would come out would be able to cut the blinds on site & remount them all at the next visit & this was an easy, very quick fix. Unilocal does not allow the # of characters necessary to detail the incompetency of this company. After this point, it took an additional 3 visits to correct the job originally contracted to do. We continued to be treated poorly by the administrative staff & the local«owner» up until the final install. The products were slightly damaged upon completion but they serve their overall purpose.
