Awesome haircut, great music, great conversation. Invee is also an expert on New Orleans restaurants so don’t forget to ask for recommendations. This is one of the few barbershops that does black and white hair and Invee will do you right.

Scheduled a shave and haircut at the last minute and was given an appointment an hour later. The haircut and shave were both done extremely well. A real professional! Highly recommend.

This is a pretty good place to get the occasional haircut but the price is a little steep for me personally. $ 25 for a haircut just seems a little much I guess those are the prices now a days. The hair cut was great quality though. I also loved the conversation !

I don’t write a lot of Unilocal Reviews, but I just wanted to share how much I enjoy my haircuts from Invee at the Blue Note Barbershop. He used to cut my hair at his old shop, but now that he opened his own place it’s even better. It’s a classy joint and in great area of town. My haircuts are always exactly what I wanted and Invee always remembers what I want without even having to remind him. I recommend the blue note to my friends all the time. Check him out!

Hands down, best cut.
Went in not knowing what to expect because it was a new place that no one could tell me about, came out shocked and extremely pleased. Didn’t know a military style cut could be done this well and I’ve asked for the same style for 5 years all over the world at other shops.
The owner and barber is solid, respectful guy.
Call ahead and go in knowing that you will come back because of the high quality.

Invee has been cutting my hair for years, and started doing so at Magazine St. Barbershop. He was always personal, friendly and most importantly, real. He reached out to me when he was looking to start his own shop, and I have been going to Bluenote since. His professionalism is immediately apparent, as is his friendly demeanor. In addition to barbering, he loves to talk sports, jazz, and all things NOLA. His new shop will become a staple in downtown New Orleans, for visitors and locals alike.

Living downtown there are 3 things that I was looking for in a barber. 1) a really good barber 2) not super expensive 3) an area downtown that I could EASILY find parking !(nothing worse than circling blocks for 20 min looking for a spot and then being paranoid if your going to get a ticket) This place has all three. He is Very nice and he remembers your name and sends you an appointment reminder and receipt through text. Best barber shop.
