Berhman Park

Behrman Park, like most parks on the west-​bank side of Orleans Parish, is largely abandoned. It offers such amenities as: an abandoned pool, an abandoned soccer field and an abandoned football stadium. For a paltry sum of money, this small park with potential could possibly be rehabbed into becoming a vibrant community center for the taxpayers of Algiers to enjoy with their families instead of being an elaborate rape-​garden for the disenfranchised youth who attend the high-​school across the street. As of now, I wouldn’t dare to venture into it on foot, unless you want to live out a live action version of «The Warriors.»
