The worst coarse in New Orleans. The greens have been moved up so they could work on the real greens except no work has been done in 6 months. Driving range is the only thing you want to visit. Wait for the new coarse to open.

In very bad condition. The greens have been«being worked on» for like 4 months now so the greens are in the fairway. It’s basically like putting on short grass. The ground is extremely hard, the grass is in terrible shape, the tee boxes are overgrown. No water available to the players on the course. But they still charge full price. Looking forward to the new course opening in 2017, but in the meantime I’ll have to find another course to play because this course is TERRIBLE. I do not recommend wasting your money here

This golf course was destroyed by the hurricanes and it shows, but I still had a rather enjoyable time. I kept searching for gators on the back nine, where all the ponds are and I finally spotted one! It was relatively low prices to play and I had a fabulous time playing a round with my boyfriend in Nawlins;.

Nothing better than a morning at the public golf course with friends.

This is certainly not the best course around, and unfortunately, is one of the few full size par 72 public courses in the NOLA area. The budget for keeping up the fairways and greens must be pretty low because they never seem to be in the best condition… there used to be two courses here, but one was destroyed and never re-opened after the great storm of ’05. Range balls are $ 10 a bucket, which is a rip. After weeks of paying the $ 10, I learned that as a member of Friends of City park, I get a 50% discount on the buckets… which is more reasonable. One redeeming factor to the course is that I met an awesome golf pro here that I have been taking lessons from… he has dramatically improved my swing. BOTTOMLINE: As soon as I have enough moolah to join Metairie Country Club, I will… but for the moment, City Park has to do.

Currently Driving Range is the only thing open! Driving on Filmore on the way, you can definitely see the damage Katrina wreaked… former golf courses are now completely covered with dry and dead grass far as the eyes can see. It’s really sad b/c it used to be really busy and now… dead…literally. The up side to this is that the Driving Range is open. The double decker is still standing but currently closed off. Bucket of balls — $ 10. Club rentals available. but I honestly do not know how much. Also are soft drinks and waters for sale. Proceed to the FEMA trailer to purchase your dirty balls to whack. Went here on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy!!! Honestly, we got there around 2:30 and when we left around 3:30 — no more balls available… so either come early or on a different day. The driving range is also full of mostly dead grass… but the ghetto yard signage is up so hey, why not? It’s great to see people coming here to support the City Park… definitely will be back here!
