Numerous people have told me about this place so I decided to stop by such Beautiful Restaurant. I ordered Greek Salad had to pay additional money for the Chicken total was $ 17.00 little pricey but I have to say it was so Delicious and well worth it. Also they have outside eating area.Nice.I’m definitely come back next time Dine-In !!!

My favorite Mediterranean place. I get the vegetarian plate although I eat meat. I just love the variety– and the house made bread. And finally the Lebanese tea. Amazing.

We were in the mood for Mediterranean food so, we decided to try something new from our usual spot. Online, Babylon café popped up… Looked through the menu and ordered. So, prices on the website are not correct. Tack on another 2 – 3 bucks to whatever the Internet states… Number one!($$$ not $$) Guys behind the counter messed up my to go order and didn’t give us two of the items requested… Number two!!! The food was horrible… Flavorless, bland and dry. Also, Forgot to put the chick peas, garlic and lemon in the hummus… So we ended up with a pile of tahini… Number three!!! Ah well, you live and you learn! Should’ve read the reviews first below. Definitely lost my business!!!

What a wonderful find! My wife and I dined here today for lunch and it exceeded our expectations. Everything we ordered was fresh and properly cooking to perfection. Note: The portions are very generous, in fact, we brought some home, which was great for dinner as well. Can’t wait to go back. Cheers!

Awesome food. I had the lamb chop lollipops. We also had a couple different types of Tahini and both were fantastic. Reasonably priced, and not crowded.

OMG delicious fresh Mediterranean food! I went during the lunch hour on a week day… not a lot of people which is sad cuz this place is definitely top notch quality food. If you are hungry and need something hearty and filling, this place is it. Service was prompt and friendly and the place is quite big and very clean. Only downfall for me, is so far from my casa.

I came here on a warm night and I enjoyed the outdoor seating option, which is always a plus! Right away they delivered us breads and olive oil, and if you have the option definitely choose the homemade rolls, which are really delicious. We ordered a mini pizza which was not my favorite concept when executed and very small. We also got the combination plate, but the only thing I was particularly impressed with was the falafel – my boyfriend, however, maintained that Lebanon falafel is superior. I finished off dinner with a baklava that was a liiiittle too sweet. Overall, it was an okay dinner but I wouldn’t pass up Lebanon’s for it again.

Ordered here through Nola Food delivery. Their food was generally decent but this time they got part of the order wrong AND flat out left out some of the food that I ordered and had paid for. When the Nola Food folks called the restaurant to rectify the mistake, the woman at the restaurant spent 15 minutes on the phone arguing with Nola Food Delivery’s rep, refusing to fill the rest of the order, and refusing to give a refund for the missing food, instead insisting that they had packed it(which they clearly had not). Sorry…lost my business… and won’t be eating here again. They were rude, uncooperative and overcharged me. It’s ridiculous. For $ 10 worth of missing/incorrect food(an error they could have easily corrected), they lost a customer for good. Dumb. I’m not giving my hard-earned money to stupid people(and least not if I can help it). I already do that enough through paying taxes.

I was here and ordered a couple of gyros(one for me and one for a friend). I was not impressed at all. Mine tasted more like a cheese steak with gyros meat. The«tzatziki sauce» was merely melted cheese and the meat was sliced pretty thick. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and courteous and the service was prompt-though that may because hardly anyone else was in there. Price-wise, the 2 gyros cost just a hair under $ 20 which, in my opinion, was overpriced considering the quality.

Best Mediterranean food in the city. I have been here 4 times now and every time it is wonderful. From Gyros to Shwarma(probably spelled wrong). It’s all great and the waitress was great as well. Best lunch spot in the city.

I finally found deicious, authentic falafel and hummus in New Orleans. This place was the best I’ve had since I moved here. I went in on a Monday afternoon and it was quite empty. My waiter was very attentive and friendly. I also tried the Lebanese Iced Tea which is sweet tea with rose and pinenuts — it was really interesting and yummy, very sweet! The homemade bread was warm and soft, very decadent. I really liked the whole area around the restaurant so look forward to going back again and exploring what else this little neighborhood has to offer.

A vegan, a vegetarian and two dogs needing an affordable place to go out after a long day of travel. This was a good choice. Several options and pleasant sidewalk eating area. The veggie burrito and lentil soup were very good.

I have now been to Babylon Café 4 times and have not run into any problems. They exceed my expectations on customer service. I have tried all their appetizers to sandwiches to plates and have greatly enjoyed myself every time. My go to meals here will be the gyro sandwich on homemade bread and the combination gyro and chicken shwarma salad. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Mediterranean food.

This is my favorite neighborhood place to get chicken shawarma. The meat is tender and not over cooked which is what I’ve found at some of the other places in the area. The hours aren’t great, and they wouldn’t take my take out order 30 mins prior to closing.

Sooooooo delicious!!! Homemade bread! Lentil soup, gyros! Their meat is so flavorful! And they don’t have a cockade fee either! Bring all the wine you want!

Tried this place for lunch today and it was very good! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer, which was pretty tasty, but a tiny bowl. I got the chicken shawarma and my husband ordered the chicken kabob wrap. My shawarma was very good, definitely plenty of food on my plate. My husband’s wrap was messy and he ended up cutting it up into some sort of salad. Overall, this place was delicious and great for lunch. Will definitely come back!

I love this place. Since moving to New Orleans, this has been my go to place for middle Eastern food. The home made bread, mint tea, stuffed grape leaves, kafta platter and chicken shawarma are all things that have been delicious. The place really delivers on their promise for good middle eastern food(unlike Lebanon café on Carrollton). Plus, the wait staff has always been very friendly and the place itself is super cute! Well done guys, this is a quality establishment, better than some of the other overrated places like Lebanon café.

Who doesn’t like a good meal filled with kibby, hummus, kafta and the like?! We frequently go to Babylon for work and I’ve never been disappointed. I must say there’s a vegetable dish that one of my coworkers had that looked absolutely amazing — I will definitely be getting that next time. Oh, and I always get the Lebanese Iced Tea — so good!

I dined at this establishment quite some time ago however I never had the time to leave a review. This establishment was pretty good. It was my first try of Mediterranean food. It was quite pleasant. I went with 2 of my friends. The hummus is quite good. There was also lamb and rice. As I stated, I went to this Place quite some time ago so I don’t really remember all of the detail however I plan to go back so I can write a better review

Finally some decent Mediterranean food! Moving here from a city that has every type of food you can think of, I’ve found it quite challenging to find local authentic places. Several people have recommended Mona’s and I’m sorry after two tries I have NOT been impressed. Walking down Maple St, we stumbled across this place for lunch. Hummus definitely deserves two thumbs up as well as the shawarma’s. I had the chicken and my mate had the lamb gyro which was seasoned perfectly. Both were excellent. We also sampled the baklava for dessert which was great. If I’m in the mood for Mediterranean I definitely know where ill be going.
