Okay… went here again on Sunday. Had to drop a star because they had some hiccups. Service just okay this time. The gumbo while improved in flavor, had sadly only ONE shrimp and nothing else except for rice and juice. Thankfully the waitress took it off the bill. They added a new chicken and waffle dish, which was very tasty, but they only give you a half of a waffle. The real crime for me was the redesigned Cuban. It was served on regular Poboy bread, not the fantastic waffle from the previous visit and sadly no gruyère cheese… regular old swiss… big mistake! If I wanted a standard Cuban Sandwich there are many other places to get it better. The first one I had from them was OUTSTANDING!!! This time… BORING! Please go back to the first recipe.

We love this place for lunch, afternoon drinks, or dinner. The food and wine are delicious, and we love looking at the beautiful oak trees and golf course from the veranda. If we’re only there for drinks, we like to sit in the upholstered chairs outside under the beautiful trees. We always have Keith as a waiter. He is attentive and very personable. We haven’t had other waiters recently, so they may be just as great.

Went to the Café for Easter Sunday. We were seated on the outdoor porch and had to move our chairs to accommodate the waitress to get by because the tables were to close together. Long line for the food, but finally worth it to sit down. A wide variety of seafood, salads, desserts, pasta, and a make your own omelette area. The only downfall with the food was the Roast Beef. Very chewy and cold. Also I overheard people asking where the waffles or pancakes were and they didn’t have any available because kids were present and we all know kids love their pancakes and waffles. I do not think it was worth $ 120 for my husband and I. We had a group and and we all went for thirds to get our money’s worth. Maybe nice for a normal brunch but wasn’t surprised. I will possibly be back, but not for Easter.

Used to love this place but went today and they have new chefs that completely changed and messed up the menu. I loved their chicken salad croissants and sweet potato fries for brunch but neither are on the menu now. Guess this place comes off our rotation of restaurants. Too bad!

Went to the Audubon Clubhouse Café on a sunny Saturday for brunch and had an amazing time. The large white and green«house» is hidden a little off the road on Magazine street. Tons of parking, relaxing pond and beautiful gardens surround the café. The view is stunning — glass windows and doors encircle the dinning area enticing observation of tee offs. The grounds are absolutely spectacular. There is also outdoor seating on the ample, wrap around veranda complete with towers of fire heating units for chilly days. On to the food which is superb. The brunch menu featured so many great offerings, it was hard to narrow the field and choose. Absolutely going back to try more dishes. We ultimately ordered boudin balls(with gooey cheese!), gumbo(with house made sausage), beef, biscuits & eggs(with hollandaise), and smoked duck with eggs and tomato butter. Everything was entirely delectable. The executive chef came out to see how everything was so we got to praise his work. A few other things — the drinks were good, the waitstaff is insanely friendly and competent, the food was incredibly fast and there was no wait for a weekend brunch in a city notorious for long lines. Would highly recommend Clubhouse Café, even though doing so could give away a wonderful restaurant & add lines to yet another brunch spot. I’ll be back regardless — it’s worth the wait.

I think this place recently popped up on my open table for brunch in weekends so we decided to give it a try! Didn’t dissappoint. Its Mardi Gras weekend so the place was empty which I appreciated(after eating and realizing it wasnt bad food that scraed people away). The service was really good, the food was surprisingly delicious, the Audobon Park views made it for a peaceful setting. There is outside seating for which we will be back during spring for sure! Oh and bloody mary was on point. I recommend for any kind of occassion and will def come back!

Ate here today after having not gone in a while. They are transitioning the restaurant. They no longer have a Sunday brunch or breakfast Monday thru Friday. That said, they have a new chef and there are some great hits but another sort of miss. Before we ordered, they brought out a taster of a potato and beef belly cake with a demi Glacé sauce. It was tasty, but nothing I would ever crave. Next we ordered the gumbo which to me was a chicken and sausage stew more than a gumbo. Not bad, but I wouldn’t get it again. My entrée was the Cuban Sandwich… now here is the hit! Chesei ham, cochon de lait, grueyre cheese, pickles and creole mustard. .ALL of these flavors married well. It came with very tasty hand cut fries. My wife ordered the beef and eggs… Another hit! This was more beef belly which was smoked for 8 hours on top of a biscuit(from scratch), hollandaise sauce and it is usually served with poached eggs, but she opted for egg whites… EXCELLENT! I will be back for both of those dishes. The waitress was very informative and explained that the restaurant is now open for dinner as well as lunch now. She showed us the dinner menu and gave great recommendations for things she thought were very good. We will be back to try the dinner menu.

Just finished an amazing dinner with my fiancé. I had the filet and he had the duck! Definitely a hidden gem with the best view in town. So glad they are open at night now, the live oak trees were even lit up, gorgeous!!!

Our party of 5 ate here for lunch today. 1 ordered a salad and the rest ordered sandwiches and we ordered an appetizer. 45 minutes later the food arrived along with the appetizer. The sandwiches came with this«mound» of shoestring type of potatoes which are impossible to eat without making a fool of yourself eating them. No explanation for the food being so late. The scenery was great but the food experience was not. Won’t be going back.

There are few places with a vast variety as Audubon Clubhouse Café!!! Brunch is amazing! At $ 29.95 plus gratuity and tax it is about standard for a brunch of it’s kind. It is all you care to eat so it balances out over going to another place and eating off the menu– just a few items elsewhere is the same price or more. The staff is friendly and amazing. The food is always delicious and freshly made. It is top of the heap in my book!!! Totally 100% awesome all around!!! Definitely going to keep returning to my favorite brunch on a Sunday!!!

What a wonderful chef and contact Don is! We needed an affordable vegan venue! He made a special Louisiana Vegan Menu for us! Yep Gumbo and all. If you are looking for a great New Orleans venue, this is it! The atmosphere and professionalism is perfect. Thank you Don!

Food barely mediocre Burger basically a ball park type of burger Salad Not tossed — items dumped on top Dressing had coating on top as if in refrigeration with no cover Service: more polite and expedited at a fast food drive thru… no welcome, no thank yous, no suggestions, seemed we were more of a bother, NEVER coming back.

Michelle and her crew at the Audubon Clubhouse helped make our wedding ceremony and reception unforgettable! We had over 170 people and the space was the perfect balance between cozy and familiar, yet spacious and airy. The food was fabulous(we had two tastings to help us pick things out). The music(both live band and later playlist) sounded great in this space. They set up the chairs under the oaks in just the right spot for our ceremony. During the reception, Patsy and the girls made sure we had something to eat, a drink in our hand, and no worries! They may seem pricey at first, but a lot is included in the package here that is not included at other venues. I highly recommend!

Although I generally like this restaurant and admit that the venue is amazing, I was VERY unhappy with the Easter Brunch I attended there because, despite talking to people there at least FOUR times to make reservations for me and my friends, NOONE bothered to tell me that the brunch would be a buffet and that it would cost more than twice what we expected to pay based on the regular menu on the site. I specifically chose this venue for an Easter brunch with five friends, many of whom are retired and on a fixed income, because the website indicated that brunch was alacarte and the prices were VERY reasonable. But we arrived there and found out that the only thing available was a VERY expensive buffet(with VERY mediocre food, I might add). We specifically did not want a buffet because of the cost and because of the fact that there’s a limit the amount of food one can and should eat, but ended up with one anyway because no on indicated on either the website or the phone that they were planning a different type of brunch for Easter. This whole experience sorta spoiled this place for me. It was also very embarrassing as I had sent the alacarte menu to the people who were going with the and assured them they would be able to order off it. Very disappointing experience.

I was last here for a private event and the space is lovely as always and the layout was perfect for the memorial service that I was attending. The staff was great and the food was very good(although perhaps servers should actually know what they are passing). The space though… the space is so gorgeous with a beautiful porch and giant windows so you can appreciate the lovely oak trees and surrounding park. Another bonus is that despite all the exercisers on a random weeknight, there is reserved parking for the clubhouse.

Tea & crumpets anyone?!? Me neither! !!! Every now and again I get the urge to eat at a country house. When I get those urges, I immediately call my psychic. Lol! Seriously, eating outside while overlooking the members try to golf is awesome. The service is some of the best downtown I have experienced. The turkey burger and side salad is a pretty enjoyable time for me. I really like the parking here too.

This is one of those hidden gems that I never would have found if it wasn’t for Unilocal. So, the zoo is a bit of a pain in the ass to get through via public transportation from the French Quarter. When we arrived near the zoo, I pulled up restaurant options and found this Clubhouse and not much else… we weren’t dressed fancy but we gave it a go. First of all, the manager there was amazing. I think his name was Steve(it’s been awhile). But he talked about the city, gave recommendations, told funny stories… he totally welcomed us in and even brought us local mags to go through for even more ideas of what to do during our visit. Everyone there was so ridiculously nice. The food: Pretty fking awesome. They served a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant but I asked for it po boy style and it was spot on. We also got the fried oyster po boy and damnnn. Seriously? Wow. Oh, and the onion rings? Best ever. So, the people were awesome, the food was great, the view was fantastic… it was 100% perfect for the day. Definitely go here before the zoo and then see the owls!!!

Very unimpressed. I took my family of 7 there for lunch. Very expensive for what you get. A $ 12 hamburger that they didn’t make themselves. Looked and tasted like the frozen box burgers from Sams Club. The $ 14 shrimp poboy was small and just okay. $ 85 for lunch. Why? They tacked on a 20% tip for 6 or more people. $ 15 tip for a very average waitress. Guess you don’t have to give great service when you know your tip is guaranteed. My suggestion is to go somewhere else. Very disappointed.

This is a great place to go for an easy, enjoyable lunch or Sunday brunch. The food is enjoyable and the atmosphere is nice. It’s located at the entrance to the golf course in Audubon Park(Magazine St. entrance, across from the Zoo) and situated amongst the beautiful oak trees. For years, I have chosen this place as a nice place to catch up with friends who have kids, because the kids can run and play and climb in the oaks on the side of the café(not in the middle of the golf course, of course) while you look on from the porch. The porch is very nice and wide with a lot of good tables and seating set up — really great in the fall and spring. They have a bar and indoor seating and the golf shop is adjacent. Fried eggplant sticks are a nice appetizer. They serve good sandwiches and decent po-boys. The Sunday brunch is a really large, nicely displayed buffet off in a separate room — and it has everything to offer that you can imagine. The food is good overall. I have had a lot of nice times there.

This was our first time going here and we were kind of impressed. For such a limited menu, they sure do each item to the fullest. The day we went here for lunch they had a shrimp and merlitone soup as a special. My husband and I shared that and it was delicious. I also ordered the salad with house made vinegarette(which was amazing). My hubby had the burger and a salad and the burger was just delicious! Aside from the great food(despite the very limited menu options) the views of the golf course are so pretty and on a nice day, what’s better than to eat, drink, and have great views while you’re doing it! I will be going back here again.
