Go run visit this popup shop before 11÷30÷15. It features local and national artists and showcases the wage disparity between genders. Men pay 100% of the price while women pay 66% of that… because that’s the wage gap in Louisiana. In other city locations, the disparity is less so the prices are closer.
The artists represented are diverse as are the crafts from textiles to pottery to coffee to jewelry to prints to photos to lotion. I found some great pieces… that may end up in my house instead of Christmas presents, oh well.
They prefer credit cards and are really great to chat with as they are very enthusiastic about the shop and the artists represented.
Hours are 12 – 7 Tuesday-​Sunday.
