My go-to for Indian delivery. Best chicken tikka masala I’ve had in the city, and I don’t think the prices are bad at all. Samosas and naan are great too, so is the lamb biryani and it comes in a huuge portion. Also, the delivery guy is the sweetest!

Came here with some friends for the Lunch buffet. We were warmly welcomed, and had comfortable seating. The buffet was expansive and included: Curry vegetables-delicious and mildly spicy Dal makhani-very tasty Cabbage mattar– better than the one I make at home Alu pepper –moist and delicious Veg tempura-fresh chickpea fritters shaped like donut Jasmine rice Wada sambar– delicious flavor Cold salads Condiments — a multitude of unusual spiced vegetables with deep flavors Chicken tikka masala, fried chicken tandoori chicken goat Semolina cakes Rice pudding Hot naan When I mentioned that I am vegetarian, they brought fresh Chana Saag to our table. It had perfect flavor and texture and combined perfectly with the fresh, airy naan. My friend asked for Palak paneer, and they prepared some for her immediately! We had very attentive service. Our water glasses were refilled often and our dirty plates were cleared quickly. The staff frequently passed by to ask how everything was and bring extra nan or anything else we requested. I enjoyed a very delicious, reasonably priced lunch. I look forward to dining here again soon.

Yuva Indian Grill is a bit pricey, especially compared to other Indian restaurants in the city, but perhaps the dearth of Indian cuisine in the Upper Midtown East justifies the hike in price at Yuva. Yuva is really generous with its complimentary chutneys at the beginning of the meal, which are served along with the crispy papadum. The chutneys/dips include spiced tomato, eggplants, cilantro, sweet soy/teriyaki sauce, etc.(sorry I’m a bit ignorant and don’t know the actual names!). I got the Katori Baingan Bharta($ 14), or baby eggplant cups stuffed with roasted eggplant spiced with herbs, sauteed onions, tomatoes & green peas. The dish wasn’t too oily, and I liked the generous amount of green peas. They could have added more eggplant though… after all, that is the highlight of the dish! The plain naan was exactly as the name described it — plain. It was good for dipping in the sauce though. You have to pay for the rice(it doesn’t come with the curry). This is probably my biggest pet peeves when Indian restaurants don’t give you a rice on the side when you order a curry. My friend got the Gosht Vindaloo($ 17), or boneless lamb pieces cooked in spicy vinaigrette, tomato & onion sauce. He has pretty high heat tolerance, but this dish was SO spicy that he could barely eat it. I would have given 4 stars for the food, but taking a star off because of the price.

I have been a patron of this place for 5 years now. The taste is authentic, ambiance is excellent(especially for a dinner) and hospitality is superb. The staff and their attention reminds me of @home hospitality at top Indian hotel chains. I find the Goat curry and dum biryanis absolutely delectable. Strongly recommend for warm dinner as well as a quick lunch,

$ 10 buffet food to go. $ 13 buffet food to dine in. The Indian staples with chicken, goat and rice. Samosas are large and fully filled. Have dessert options at the buffet as well. If you talk with the host you can get a semi buffet during the dine in. Buffet starts at 11am and ends at 3pm. I have not seen it packed or with more than 5 people at once which makes it feel like you have rented the location for a personal lunch.

One of the best and most consistent Indian restaurants in the city. Chicken wings. Fish and shrimp curry all fantastic. Raita is great and only 4(not price gauging like other indian restaurants). We will be back.

First time in this place. The food was really good, but overpriced. I ordered a lamb with vegetable sauce & jasmine rice, samosas and garlic bread. Everything was tasty, but personally I think prices are too high. SERVICEWASNOTGOOD. Waiter had only two tables at the time we arrived and he brought our food without drinks. We had to call him constantly for napkins, salt, cutlery. etc. Also, I asked for a mild dish and he replied me very rude telling me that NO it can be mild and he turned around without say anything else. However, tone to my husband was totally different. I understand some dishes could be already prepared but the tone was inappropriate. I felt he was more nicer with my husband than me… maybe because he was a male chauvinist and he didn’t like women? Maybe gay? No idea. But girls, we aware of this guy. The food was good, but not sure if I would come back. P.D: Checking in Unilocal and I got 20% off, however the waiter added a 18% tip. Probably, he though he was doing an amazing job. What a rip off.

I was introduced to this establishment via the iDine program. I’ve since visited from time to time when I wish to getting a little walking in… and it helps that the food ain’t bad. And attendance during lunch is light most of the time. But the staff is most pleasant, the atmosphere is and clean, and all orders appear to be made to order. Overall if you have an Indian fix they’ll work it out for you.

I went to Yuva during my recent trip to New York. I went to 4 – 5 different indian restaurant including Utsav and Banaras. But this one stands out. Almost all indian restaurants lacked proper customer service and food quality but Yuva excelled at both. We were greeted with Papadam and 5 – 6 different chatnies. We were also given complementary daal, rice and baingan ka bherta as a special service. Manager and servers treated us like a family. It has a family ambiance and it’s great place for party and family gatherings. I strongly recommend this restaurant on my family’s behalf. I wish we could visit it one more time, but unfortunately due to time crunch we were forced to consider other options.

Ok Indian food. The complementary platter of dipping sauces served with the pappadum was a highlight of the meal Saag paneer was good – the spinach was not overcooked like some other Indian restaurants have a habit of doing. Chicken curry was blah – not enough spices. If I had not ordered it, I would not have guessed that it was curry. Nan was good

It seems I have gotten so addicted to Indian food I am on an unofficial mission to try all the Indian restaurants in Manhattan. Yuva offered a 20% off deal on Seamless and for my sunday fix of some ethnic eats, this was my pick. I ordered my one true love, Navratan korma and onion naan(which wasn’t on the menu but the made it for me anyway). The food came fast and was still very hot by the time it got to my apartment. The korma was delicious and they even allow you to choose your level of spiciness. I chose medium and it was cooked perfectly. The true star was the naan bread. In fact, it was probably some of the best naan I’ve had from an Indian restaurant in the Midtown East area. Will I reorder? In a heartbeat.

Overall: This is a small Indian restaurant(kind of a date place) which I felt had descent but not great food, but a few mistakes on my bill had me feeling more disappointed. Here’s my review: The welcome: Reasonable and nice. The décor: Nice for a family meal or date. The location: Quite a few Indian places in this area, including several on the same block. The sitting: Table with a white cloth. Silverware shows its age but it was descent. They filled my water, but it wasn’t cold. No ice. The meal: Kind of «eh» and left me thinking of trying other Indian places in the area, which there are many including several on the same block. — Appetizer: I ordered a fish appetizer($ 8) which was good. It was a bit saucy and my request of «medium spicey» had me drinking plenty of water until my taste buds numbed a bit. — Entrée: I ordered Salmon Saag($ 22), which was chunks of salmon in a green Saag sauce which came in a bowl. Basically you scoup it out and put it on your plate. I liked the green saag sauce but the salmon did taste very game-ey. I really wouldn’t order it again. The meal doesn’t come with rice so I had to order Masala Rice($ 6) to place under the entrée. I was kind of disappointed that the entrée wasn’t really a stand-alone meal. This made the entrée portion of the meal $ 28. The Payment: I used a Scoutmob deal for 50% off(up to $ 20). As I looked at the way it added up, they added a 20% tip on the pre-discount amount, which is higher than the Scoutmob maximum, and they charged me tax also on the pre-discount amount — which isn’t correct. In summary, I was probably charged about $ 5 more than I should have been, and while most people probably don’t know the difference, I did. It’s enough to not have me going back.

This restaurant has been around many years. It used to be a mid to higher end. I now just get delivery from them. Food is solid. Nothing to write home/Yelp about(but I’m doing it anyway)

Hmm, it was alright. I gave a $ 3 tip on delivery so it arrived at a decent time and the delivery guy didn’t bother me with calls. BUT: I specifically requested Rasmalai dessert as part of their 2-course non-vegetararian prix fixe dinner, and what do I get? Some tiny mango chutney stuff. It was packaged in the same tiny container as the side sauces, too, so tbh I’m not even sure it was a dessert — they could have forgotten to give me a dessert altogether! And to make matters worse, the mango chutney stuff tasted stale and, actually, moldy… so I had to throw it away =( The chicken shahi korma was alright, but again not the best I’ve had. Had sparse almonds but no raisins! Detracted from the flavor. Samosa was okay. And price was definitely not cheap for the quality of the Indian place! Okay but wouldn’t particularly recommend.

The food here was good but not mind-blowing, and a bit overpriced for what it is. We shared: –veg pakora(good, although there was a large variety of vegetables including some things that I think were peppers and were kind of unappetizing) –samosas(good but very mild) –butter chicken & paneer tikka masala(these tasted identical — I know the sauces are similar but most places there’s a subtle difference. We couldn’t identify any difference at all. The sauce was a bit tomato-y for my tastes but the chicken was very good. The paneer had kind of a weird texture). –Saffron rice & regular and rosemary naan(the naan was good but the rosemary didn’t taste much different than the regular) This is a solid option if you’re in the area and want Indian food but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Being used to small, family-owned Indian restaurants around the NYC metropolitan area, most a bit dingy and tired in their décor and their food offerings, Yuva was a pleasant surprise. While not a huge restaurant, the dinner ambiance is intimate, candlelit, white tablecloth, and dare I say romantic? I felt transported to an upscale, modern Indian restaurant. The four of us weren’t on a romantic date though and were there to eat! Luckily the papadums came fast along with about 7 different dipping sauces. I had no idea what they were, but I tried them all! The Chicken Tikka Masala was better than a number of other Indian places I’ve been to recently, and the Shrimp Biriyani looked and tasted great. The grilled lamp chops were over-grilled and I wished had more spiciness. I was in Myanmar/Burma last month, and the Indian restaurants there do not dumb down for the foreign palate. Service was excellent and nicely paced, and the bottle of wine was delicious and value-oriented. Prices are a bit high for Indian, so I imagine I’m paying for the ambiance and the Midtown East neighborhood. I’ll come back again soon, especially with a Unilocal discount on my phone.

Indian cuisine has always fascinated my palate. And this restaurant did not disappoint. I came here on a Groupon reserve(30% off your total bill) with friends on a Saturday night. It was quite empty early in the night but was soon filled with customers. As soon as you get seated, they will serve you with condiments of sauces and spices to dip with the crispy bread which is called the Poppadoms. As per recommendation, we ordered the grilled fish skewer as appetizer to share. The Na’an bread were also enjoyable to eat. There are wide variety of red and white wines to choose from. We decided to eat the family style(main courses are shared). Our main course to share was Shrimp biryani, Chicken tikka masala and Lamb chops. It was the best Indian meal for me in awhile. The staff are attentive during our dinner.

Points for a very friendly welcome, including a number of extras all throughout the meal. The restaurant’s feel is very nice and I especially love that you can see what the chef is up to through the glass window. The arrival of papadums with six accompanying dips kicked off proceedings. Though unfortunately I nearly immediately found a small sandy bit of something in among one of the dips which is always a bit concerning. For starters we shared a Chaat Puri and a Schrimp Tikka, both of which were good, but not exceptional. A special mention for very elegant six miniature stuffed puri served on small shot-glasses of tamarind juice. Moving on to main courses, my partner had the grill mix and I went for a Shahi Korma; we accompanied the food with naan and a yuva dahl. The grilled meat was served in generous quantity but lacked any real taste, and unfortunately the house ‘yuva’ dahl was a real letdown(tasteless). Shame, as black lentils are not something common in Indian restaurants back across the Atlantic. My Korma was not bad and the chili garlic naan was a great accompaniment. We finished with dessert where we got thee for the price of one. And in fact these nearly stole the show as the Gulab jamun was very nice(that is Indian cheese in honey), but unfortunately, again, I found a bit of something(this time an identifiable piece of plastic) in the kheer. The last of the three desserts was a mango kulfi. Overall a very nice setting, friendly stuff and generous portions. Unfortunately the key element of the meal, the food, was simply nowhere near as good as some of the other Indian restaurants in town. Not bad but not great.
