I always stop by this location whenever I’m in the neighborhood thrifting. The situation yesterday was the same as the past two or three times. Even though it was fairly early in the day they were out of three flavors; one of which happens to be my favorite, the green tea. :-( I moved on to get both Pomegranate and Coconut(the island girl in me) and what looked like a colored watery version of each was in my cup. Turns out someone had forgotten to turn on the.machines. Really, it was 2pm? I brought it to the attention of the owner who then proceeded to speak with her daughter in their native tongue and then look at me weird before coming over to tend to me and the machine. Once it was turned on it quickly churned but the yougurt was super watery. Not a huge deal but I prefer my yogurt sans mucho agua. Lol It quickly melted and turned pure liquid as i walked down Bergen not even two blocks away.

Came here last night after eating a nice dinner down on Smith Street. I thought they were closing as it was only 9:45 and they were mopping the floor. I saw another couple go in and I followed right behind. They asked for sample cups and they got theirs and when I asked for mine the lady with glasses looked at me as if I asked her for her left arm or something. Just rude as I don’t know what! Then she watched as the other couple sampled two flavors! I mean what is that all about? I just felt a negative vibe from her and I just walked out. I didn’t even want to sample any flavor. Note to this place: get some customer service skills because you surely don’t have any! I wen’t right across the street to Chocolate Room and was greeted and thanked on my way out. Do yourself a favor and just go to 16 Handles, they’re way nicer and they have a better selection of flavors than this joint.

If you like frozen Yogurt this place does the job although i like 16 Handles MUCH better. What really is a deal breaker in this particular location is the extremely rude person who owns the place. If you ask for a sample cup, you’ll receive a death stare and she’ll mumble something under her breath in a foreign asian language to her(albeit friendly) employees. I walked in there the other day and the new rule is that an employee has to come out from behind the counter to pull a sample for you. That was the last straw. Never again. Avoid this one; there are plenty of other for-yo places in the neighborhood.

If you’re desperately in need of fro-yo, then I guess this will get the job done. But it’s not as good as Red Mango or Pinkberry, and nowhere NEAR as good as Culture, up 5th Ave. The fro-yo is really watery and the flavors are pretty bland.

Their fronzen yogurt is extremely ICE-y rather than creamy and I’d say this swirling ‘sorbet’ out in your cup and calling it ‘yogurt’ was totally new to me, if not a false ad. I read one of the reviewers mention earlier that this store’s is nearly identical with Red Mango/Pinkberries,’ though I disagree. It is not that I am a supporter of theirs(Red/Pink’s) necessarily but I was thrown off when I initially stepped in for this place’s bland ice-y chunk. It was not entirely bad for a change and at least this site’s –YogurBerry’s– is not a watery melt-down case like the one on 7th avenue. After a carefully examination, however, I am coming to the hyperthesis if this is a new method of watering down in order to make more profit out of each customer’s cup? Then, I would just go for better quailty in higher ends’. It is a matter of taste, so if you opt for ice-y experience, give it a shot. As a discernable frozen yogurt consumer, though, it defenitely falls short. It is an irony that you possibly end up in Culture after having a cup here to even the taste out. Also, this is eitirely self-service so I find the clerks’ idling painfully awkward. To put it mildly, this is another overstaffed fro-yo establishment when their job description is hardly more than ringing up the transaction and collecting the money. When a clerk/business owner– or this is a family run and the Mother the family(?) – (I don’t really know but)– began mopping the floor beside me still had more than a cup to finish in one afternoon, I did not feel like eating anymore and my ice-y season was practically over.

Hooray for self serve fro-yo in the Slope! I haven’t been in this part of 5th Avenue in a while, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that this recently opened. I love fro-yo in general and I don’t really have any preference between Pinkberry and Red Mango. I forgot how much they charge per ounce, but I believe it’s in line with what most of these places charge. The toppings are pretty standard; I just wish they had more(healthier) crunchy offerings. They have a good amount of flavors, too. My only other feedback is that it’d be nice if they could have different size cups. When I went, they only had one size and it was on the bigger side.

i believe this is the one of the few, if not the only, self-serve yogurt place park slope. actually i think there is another one on 7th ave. but anyways, you can get as much yogurt and toppings as you want at a rate of 49cents/oz.(this is overpriced but what isn’t overpriced in new york city?) for those who dont know, its like the redmango/pinkberry kind of yogurt. not the creamy softserve.(i’m saying this because a woman walked in thinking it was like an ice cream sort of shop) there are a variety of yogurt flavors. I usually judge a yogurt place by the original yogurt flavor. It was just the right amount of tart for me but a bit too much on the icier side rather than on the creamier side. they give you sample cups to try so just get the ones that works for you. they also have a variety of toppings(different cereals, fruits, cheesecake bites, brownies, etc.) i’d go here if i need a yogurt fix not because its the best of its kind but because its the only place that’s close to me(2 blocks away).

I dig this new yogurt spot. It’s a lot like Yogurt Station on St. Marks place, you grab a cup, serve yourself whatever flavors and how much you like, and apply your own toppings. The yogurt is nice and creamy, no line, quick in and get your treat and out.

Short version of this review: go, get sample cups at the register, and then head back and try flavors(high marks for Raspberry and Dulce de Leche), fill your cup with your the desired amount of your proffered yogurt flavor(s), get toppings(don’t sleep on fruity pebbles and fresh fruit), weigh, and pay(I think 49cents/ounce, which works out to about $ 3 for a small portion, and more like 5 or 6 for a full cup). The variety of yogurt flavors is great — from the standard plain(ie, tart and nothing like ice cream) to a variety of fruits that are sweeter but still yogurty(Mango, Raspberry. Pomegranate, Peach, etc.) to a surprisingly ice-cream-like Dulce de Leche. Of the fruit flavors i tried I recommend the Raspberry if you want something sweeter, and I really can’t believe how rich the Dulce de Leche was for frozen yogurt. Don’t miss out on getting little sampling cups from the register as you walk in to try a couple flavors. The toppings are also great, with gems like the caramel turtles and a good variety of berries and other fruits. Do not underestimate crunchy fruity pebbles with the tang of the yogurt flavor — amazing. A note on process: It’s a slightly awkward set up. As you walk in and have to walk past the counter and toppings to get a cup at the back(only one size, so don’t fill it if you don’t want a larger bill) and then work your way back to the register via the self-serve yogurt dispensers(no reason you can’t combine multiple flavors), then self-serve toppings, and you weigh and pay. Last — the people working there seem really friendly.
