Between two people, we ordered the Trio of Fries($ 12) and the Parrillada($ 64) which consisted of rib eye steak, beef short rib, chorizo, bone marrow, and morcilla arepa. It was a lot of food and could have easily fed three people since it was a lot of meat. It probably would have been a good idea to order some vegetables to go with this meal but the thought hadn’t occurred to us at that time. The sauces were all fantastic as well. This was a very good sampler dish since it allowed us to try different things and definitely helps with our indecisiveness. It was also my first time trying bone marrow so I can’t really compare it to anything but I really enjoyed it and wished that there was a bit more of it.

I am obsessed with brunch places, and this is one of my absolute favs! Wonderful food + good bottomless drinks. The Cachapa Benedict is delicious, and I love the pisco guava drink and bloody mary. I went three times last month, and each time the staff was fantastic! Our server was constantly checking in to see if we needed more drinks, and to ensure our food was delicious. Love this place! Good for groups or a fun brunch with a friend. Fun atmosphere — plus the location is great.

Amazing food! Ofcourse the watermelon fries were very unique and a must try. The lobster tacos and brussel sprouts were amazing! My friend had the steak and loved it! Veg options too were good.

Good, but I think the one of the lower east side was better. My boyfriend was disappointed in his filet mignon and the atmosphere just didn’t feel the same. The cocktails were good and so were our appetizers. What bothered me the most: We had a really early reservation for dinner(5:45) so we were the only patrons there for the first 20 – 30 min. There servers were still setting up, which was fine but all the staff was messing around with each other and carrying on conversation across the restaurant like there weren’t any customers there yet. I’ve been a server, and that’s how we would carry on when the lights were still on and dinner service hadn’t start yet-not cool. I didn’t’ really feel like I was ‘out to dinner’ until halfway through being there. Just not as enjoyable as we expected.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night w reservations. Some of the food here is a hit or miss. We ordered a bunch of food to split among 9 people. I will start with the better dishes. We got a guac and chips for the table– the guac had sprinkled cheese on it– Loved it. My favorite was the lobster tacos and Tallarin Saltado(noodles with poached egg). There were only 2 tacos in the order which I thought was really small. The noodle dish was really good– super flavorful! The Cod was really well prepared and delicious as well. Other food I tried didn’t really stand out but I will list them anyway. We had Peruvian corn, watermelon fries(don’t see the hype– it was not appealing at all whatsoever– heart of palm fries were the best), empanadas(only came with two as well), salmon ceviche(had a strange taste– wasn’t a fan of the flavor), calamari(black color with seasoning– not a fan– had one and was like I’m letting this go), salmon(average), and brisket(average). As you can see we got a ton of food to share. Portions are small so I recommend sharing like tapas style. It came out to ~38 a person– not bad at all especially for the amount we consumed. Service was on point as well. they were super attentive. I gave it 4 stars because they had some awesome dishes. Although there were some dishes I didn’t like I think it is because of my taste. I’m not a big fan of latin american food. The food quality was great so I can’t take points off for that. I would come back esp since I know what dishes I like now. Intimate place– kinda small but it’s NYC!

I just have to say this place is amazing! My friends brought me here to celebrate my engagement and I had the best time ever! The food was delicious and the restaurant is beautiful. We received such great service from our waitress Marta. Because of Marta we will definitely come back!

Fantastic brunch. Chris, the owner, and Anna, the manager, were more than accommodating. Had a large party for my wife’s birthday and everything was spectacular. Great space, great food, great memories!

Oh, Yerba Buena. No other brunch place will ever take your place in my heart. Before I moved to NYC, I would make sure I visited Yerba Buena at least once for brunch during every visit to the city. Now, I plan on becoming a true regular at this restaurant on the weekends. Boozy brunch at this establishment is serious business. It’s only unlimited for one hour, but the wait staff is VERY aggressive and attentive with the refills. One person in your party is ~50% done with their drink? Ok, new round for everyone. The pisco guavas and sangrias are AMAZING here, and you for damn sure are going to get your money’s worth in alcohol if you choose the unlimited boozy brunch. As for the food, pls pls PLS promise me you will try the guac and chips, the trio of fries, and the eggs Benedict dish. I drag every person I know to Yerba and insist that they try these, and they never disappoint. Another thing I love about this place is that you can actually make a reservation online. I absolutely HATE waiting for a table at restaurants, and I reeeeaaaally appreciate places that take reservations. If you are looking for your next favorite boozy brunch spot you should absolutely try Yerba Buena. Doitdoitdoooooit!!!

This was my second time here and again it was amazing. This time we got the prefix menu and it was awesome. I got the empanadas, arroz con pollo, and tres leches cake. The empanadas were amazing!!! Such a good blend of flavors that fit so well. My friend got the fish tacos which was ok as well. The arroz con pollo was on point too. My friend got the steak and it was soooooo goood. And the tres leches cake was UHMAZING. It was a piña colada flavor and had the right amount of sweetness and moisture. Drinks here are amazing as well. The cholula is def worth trying. Love this place. One of my favs in New York.

This is not my typical kind of food, but everything we had was amazing. The watermelon fries were INCREDIBLE! Their brussel sprout dish was also delicious. The empanadas and lobster tacos were pretty good, too(a lot better than I’ve had at other places). There were 4 of us and we shared about 7 dishes. It’s a nice, quiet spot and not too crowded on a Saturday evening — perfect for catching up with people! The waitstaff was also super nice and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

LOVED this place. Guacamole not your standard plain old, had a nice little spice in there! Started with the Tuna taquitos super delicious — comes with 4 small two bite tacos The EMPANADASOMG so good you must order these Watermelon fries ??? Sweet and salty The black cod was SO delicious Service was also wonderful. The only negative thing I have to say is I ordered a martini and the olives were terrible, inedible. Not sure what’s happening there but I would go back for the food !

Have been to both locations multiple times and have never been disappointed! Each location has it’s own feel… this one is a little bigger and more laid back. Came here the first time for brunch. Took advantage of the unlimited cocktails for an hour which was great! I got the Tres Arepas and they were amazing! So flavorful and a really good portion size. Very interesting mix of flavors. We also got the Benedict Yerba Buena which was unreal! You can’t go wrong with either of these two dishes. Other than that time coming for brunch I’ve come a few times for dinner. I get the trio of fries every time and it never disappoints. Watermelon fries sound so bizarre but it is 100% worth trying! A really interesting mix of flavors and consistencies. We always get the guacamole to start and it is fantastic! Really fresh. I also always get the Croquetes de Queijo, which are REALLY good, but it’s a really small portion! The fried Brussels sprouts salad is listed as a side but isn’t too too small and is delicious and filling. I do wish they had more vegetarian options, especially on the brunch menu! There isn’t a ton to make a full meal out of(especially not enough to come back more than once!).

I recently came here on a Thursday night for a giant team dinner(13 of us total). The restaurant was great at accommodating us, and was one of the few places I called that didn’t require a prix fixe menu for a group our size(they did have several prix fixe options but we chose to order a la carte). We mainly ordered many rounds of appetizers to share: guacamole, cheese croquettes, trio of fries, empanadas, short rib tacos, lobster tacos, and quinoa paella. The guac was amazing — pretty sure we got at least 5 orders of it for our table. The tacos were also great, as were the cheese croquettes(although they were a bit small). My team also surprised me at the end with an early birthday celebration, and I got a piña colada tres leches which was delicious. The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived at 6:30 but by the time we left at 9:30, both the bar and the dining area were completely packed and it was LOUD. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want a quiet place for dinner, but it’s great if you’re looking for a fun place to go with a group or for a celebration.

Muchas gracias por un buen tiempo! Modern décor, ample sized floor space that can pack in the customers without feeling cramped; well done with the planning! It can easily be a great choice for a girls’ night out, family lunch spot, throwing back a couple of cocktails with a date, or just yourself grabbing grub. Not sure what to drink? Have the waitress recommend something. Not sure what to eat? Close your eyes and point. Everything I had were top-notch so I cannot fathom the non-ordered items are bad. Unconvinced? Get the tacos(any), try the pork belly, sample the sundia, and you’re welcome.

The Quick: Impressive menu in a dark yet lovely dinner spot. Killer empanadas and tacos. Everything has an enticing Latin flair. Opt for a seat near the window for more lighting and people watching. The Details: We dined at YBP for summer 2015 restaurant week, and are so glad we did. The duck empanadas and pork tacos were out of this world. The shrimp soup was also extremely flavorful and spicy, filled with calamari and other seafood. All three were relatively good portions as an appetizer. The crispy pork entrée was so trendy and juicy my mouth is still watering. The seared tuna on the other hand was good, but partially overcooked. The service was good and the crowd was loud and fun. I look forward to returning and trying the full menu. The Damage: $ 38(plus tax and gratuity) for a 3 course meal. I highly recommend.

Came here on a Gilt City Deal, one of the best deal place we have been so far! Service here was excellent! They were very accommodating to our requests and very friendly, which is often not the case with other restaurant when you came in with a deal voucher. The venue itself is cozy but spacious enough that you can do a group dinner without problem, the only thing is the seating space at the bar is a little too small. Our deal included 2 special cocktails, 2 starters and 2 entrees: — El Jalapeño: pineapple infused fidencio mezcal, pretty smoky and it was delicious. — Atun — Chicharron de Calamar — Black Cod — Salmon We enjoyed every dish, especially the Calamari, Tuna Ceviche and Salmon. We were in a rush as we had to catch a play, so we didn’t order desert, but it’s certainly a place I’d come back again, especially for a group dinner.

Awesome, just plain awesome! I took my boyfriend here for his recent birthday. The décor was adorable; really this is a quintessential date spot. Unluckily, it also happened to be cinco de mayo, and the place was busier, by my estimations, than usual. Despite this, the service was wonderful. Our waitress, a tall eastern european brunette, went above and beyond. But the best part was the food. We ordered: Poco Picante– Lemony, a kick of spicy, and a good balance of booze. Recommended. Croquetas– Delicious! Don’t skip these. They’re so tiny and adorable, which gives you the perfect balance of tangy manchego and crunchy coating Hamachi– Marinated in a very tasty zesty lime sauce, and the avocado and other accompaniments were great. The fish itself though could have been fresher. Parillada for two– Woah! Yum! Amazing! I am going to let you guys discover this one for yourselves, there’s just too much to say. Trio of Fries– Good, interesting, pretty tasty. If you’re picking only one fried item, though, croquetas are the way to go. Flan– Yummy, light, not too sweet or heavy so a nice way to end. All in all, for an intimate dinner or a date, this place is absolutely a top quality choice. Everything was fresh, the atmosphere, despite the whole cinco de mayo thing, was really lovely, and the service just made the night great.

Yerba Buena. I see why they get such a vivid clientele given the fun Latin music and vast array of specialty cocktails, but I wasn’t too impressed with my dinner here this week. The staff was amazing. They were super attentive and easy, didn’t rush us, and we were seated in a prime spot for a busy night. They are the reason for the stars I offered. It was the food that didn’t amaze me here. We started with the guacamole, which was nothing special at all. I know the trick to a good guac is to make it simple with quality ingredients but it came out with a brownish twinge and didn’t taste like there was anything particularly fresh or unique about it. The chips were fine. We also shared the short rib arepa. The meat was delicious and cooked perfectly, very tender, but it was ridiculously oily. So oily that I felt like I might explode after or like I’d rather crawl under the table till my stomach settled down. We decided to share the seafood paella. It took a while to come out which is a good sign given they obviously make it fresh. But how disappointing! The seafood was plentiful, but there was absolutely no flavor to this dish. I’ve had my fair share of paella from a wide array of restaurants, including some that probably shouldn’t be making paella, and I expected Yerba Buena’s to at least beat that mark, but boy did it miss it. The calamari and mussels were okay but I had to ask for extra lemon just to get a kick out of the flavor. Also, they said it was served soccarat style which led me to think the bottom layer would be crispy and delicious but when I scraped it for a bite it ended up just tasting burnt! Yikes. Cocktails were on the good side, and the el jalapeño was amazing. I’d consider going back for a happy hour at some point, but with a million other restaurants in this area I definitely won’t be visiting Yerba Buena again.

Good brunch with lots of options, a little pricey but the waitress was great. Very noisy, don’t expect to hear your friends if they’re not seating right on your side. The french toasts were yummy, the fruit plate was good and had many different fruits, guacamole was awesome! We had churros to share but they were really small and served with a plain hot chocolate(not creamy to dip in).
