I helped my elderly parent sign up for a home aide from Xincon on several different occasions since 2013. Then and now, we’ve been very satisfied with and confident in their coordinators, billing services, and the home aides themselves. My Mother needs assistance with getting up from bed or sitting, with meal preparation, getting to doctor’s appointments, and many other essential activities. Xincon’s coordinators were very helpful setting up services, finding the home aides, organizing insurance reimbursements, and were easy to reach and prompt with getting back to me about my many questions and requests, which is important when things are changing quickly at home. The home aides we requested spoke Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese. Xincon may have aides who speak other languages. Xincon is sensitive to the patient needing a «good fit» with the home aide, not just whether the aide can physically carry out the tasks the patient needs. The home aides we’ve had were able to do everything we needed help with, including overnight shifts to help my Mother during the night. My Mom has been comfortable and felt safe and cared for with the aides she’s had. And because I don’t live nearby, I also greatly appreciate the level of Xincon’s care and that I can contact them anytime I have questions. One word of caution is to not expect that Xincon will be able to set up a home aide instantly, which I tried to do at one point. It’s possible they might be able to meet a last-minute request, but if you’re looking for a home aide then give them enough time to find someone — this can take several days or longer depending on what you need. For last minute requirements(a caretaker calls in sick, for instance), there may be other services out there that can send someone at the drop of a hat.
