I had a great customer service experience here, but the cold brew was pretty weak. I’ll keep searching for a new spot to replace the now-closed Rex!

The coffee was so bad that I’m writing this as I’m leaving the café. Ordered a cortado and it came out super fast. Should’ve known that was a bad sign. Coffee came out burnt and acidic. If you’re going to charge me $ 3.50 then at least make it drinkable. Service was terrible. The barista seemed completely disinterested and it was reflected in the quality of the drink she made. Would rather go to the dreaded Starbucks than come back here.

Staff was nice but the decaf coffee tasted terrible. The price was decent for NYC. I threw coffee out after a few sips so overall it was not a good experience.

Decent sweets selection at this spot on a popular strip near Rex.

Sorry this place just isn’t happening. Slow, crowded, nowhere to stand while you’re waiting to order. No engagement with staff — we stood there 10 minutes then walked out. Oh, it’s overheated too!

Amazing coffee shop! Very cozy place and lovely service. The hot chocolate was delicious and they have coffee from Colombia and Costa Rica! You won’t regret coming here.

Cheap coffee. Good vibes. I was the first customer of the day and the batista started playing really terrible white top 40s crap and we bonded over hating it before changing it. Def coming back.

Great service and delicious almond chai latte(not too sweet). John is extremely patient and kind. I was thinking about ordering the chai latte but worries that it might be too sweet. After I ordered something else and sat down, he gave me a sample. Love coffee shops that value personalized customer-centric approach. Will definitely come back.

Small coffee shop in Chelsea — the barista is super friendly. They sell a small amount of pastries and some macarons from macaron café. Not really a sit and work all day kind of place but a great shop to meet up with friends for a quick chat.

The coffee is fine, the wifi is functional, and somehow there’s always seating in this tiny place.

Extremely friendly staff. When I stopped there I got their strawberry mint lemonade and it was out of this world! I’ve only been once, but can’t wait for my next opportunity to go.

I love this place!!! Great service and the best coffee I have ever tried in the city. This beautiful spot makes you want to go in, but as soon as you try what they have inside, you’ll definitely be back. Go and check it out yourself.

I have been searching for the perfect Chai Tea and have finally found it here at Xanadu. The savory breakfast popover-type pastries are fresh and delicious, and the cozy tables have charging stations built-in. Combine this with the pleasant and attentive staff and it makes this a spot worth visiting to start your day or joining friends later on. The Hazelnut coffee smelled so delicious that I plan to go back and try one next time with a macaron(or two!) It’s easy to find near the Highline in Chelsea and it was convenient for me as a biker using the WestSide Greenway.

Delightful. The owner and the baristo were so lovely the two times I was there. The décor is perfect. I have been drinking matcha green tea lately, and they make it so well here. I look forward to checking out the Hell’s Kitchen location and to returning to the Chelsea location.

Xanadu Coffee is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. With the former Ports coffee down the block recently closed, Xanadu provides a much-needed caffeine pick-me-up to the popular Chelsea block. Plus, next to the 23rd street Crunch, it provides a great alternative to Starbucks lattes before or after the gym!(I’m looking at you!) Xanadu is the sister coffeeshop to Kahve in Hell’s Kitchen. While not the same owners, it’s in the same family so you can be assured you’re going to get the same amazing quality coffee, pastries, and snacks(including those delicious breakfast pizzas and scones) you’ll find at Kahve — and, of course, having different owners you will find a few variances. While I have only visited once thus far(opening day was only a few days ago), the staff was super friendly, my soy latte was awesome, and the«Uncle’s» almond cranberry biscotti was very tasty. The owner was nearby and was happy to introduce himself. I look forward to returning to Xanadu whenever I’m in Chelsea, and I truly wish them and their team all the best success.
