–1 star for 3 over-​cuts on the matting corners, which they redid — see below
–1 star for arguing with me for 30 mins that over-​cuts were within an ‘industry standard’
–1 star for the photo falling within the frame after 12 months because pinning came out
I don’t see over-​cuts in museums or fine art galleries — there is no tolerance for over-​cuts with fine art. With the photo falling from the frame after 12 months I decided I should write a review. I did appreciate the work they did on back of the frame in which they placed the gallery’s information in a clear envelope.

The framing was done well and on time.
However when I picked up the art work I noticed that a hanging hook and nail were not provided. So I asked for one. Panic ensued as two assistants looked for a suitable hook. Upstairs, downstairs… It appears they had run out.
The owner then approached me and in a rather irritated, arrogant and flippant tone said «those freebies go fast.» Translation I was asking for something for free.
Having just paid several hundred dollars to have a small piece framed — I’m not sure «free» is the appropriate word.
When I explained that our past framers (we recently moved to FiDi) always provided the correct hook for the weight of the project, his attitude didn’t improve.
What a petty way to ruin a pleasant experience.
As we were chosing the frames he kept mentioning his «corporate clients»…I didn’t think anything of it at the time — but clearly his preference lies there.
PS they eventually found a hook.

they are the best in the area and clearly deal with some high end clientele. If you want a place that is knowledgeable and careful with their work — this would be spot.

We have had 7 pieces framed with Doug and the team at World Trade Art. Each and every piece has been exceptional. The team has been generous with us and they have spent hours with us helping us figure out the most tasteful way to frame prints, photographs, and etchings.
We have framed a lot of things over the years and never have we been this pleased. At times even the galleries we have bought stuff from have been shocked at the quality of work.
They take a huge amount of pride in what they do and I have felt they treat our art as if it was theirs. If you have something you need to frame… this is your team hands down.
Doesn’t hurt that the prices are reasonable as well. I have often taken in low value stuff and they have helped us find economical solutions.

I’ve used World Trade Art Gallery a couple of times to help decorate my companies new office space. All told it’s probably 40 or so pieces and we couldn’t be happier! Their staff is excellent and the quality of their work is supurb. I highly recommend.

Went to this gallery and framing shop to have some precious paintings from India framed. The paintings were done on silk cloth and I wanted a nice traditional look. The service was outstanding from the moment I walked in the door. They put this framing combination together for both pieces of art that complemented one another, but were different. The selection is immense and there is plenty of space to this place, so you don’t feel crammed and you have lots of room to work. The finished product was impeccable and they ensured our happiness by checking in with us once the art was delivered to my apartment with a turnaround time of a week. Great job at a fabulous price. Will definitely return!

So I have this beautiful matted photo of Lake Bled that I picked up a couple of years ago when I was in Slovenia. I have always had the intent to frame it, but I never got around to doing it, and after awhile the thought was all but forgotten. Fortunately, I did get around to it recently, with most pleasing results.
Upon entering, I was quickly met by a nice gentleman who was especially helpful in finding an appropriate matching frame. He keyed in pretty well to the details of the photo and made some great selections for the frame. The first selection had a scratch on it, and there was no more of that sample in stock. No worries though since the next selection proved to be even better. It was a great match and was ornate in its own right. There was no stock number on the piece, so he found a comparable piece for pricing purposes and offered me a sizable discount. All in, I had a beautiful framed photo for $ 50 + tax. The turn around was about a week. Great customer service and beautiful selection of framing wood. Recommend.
