Avoid! Worst laundry and dry cleaners around. They destroy your dress shirts with creases, bent collars, broken buttons… Now that I wear more expensive shirts, I will not trust them. After they shredded the cuff on one of my shirts with holes while being covered in grease(it was obviously caught in the rack machine) they blamed it on me saying that I brought it in that way… I can never trust them again!

Cheap per pound price for laundry, open early, laundry is always done when they say it will be, and all your clothes come folded into one of those impossibly dense cubes! What more could one ask for? Granted, I’m the kind of guy who mixes all colors and fabrics and never reads the washing instructions on the tag. An affordable choice for the area if you just want basic laundry done.

I just moved to New York and needed a good dry cleaner for all of my dress shirts. I thought I would give this place a try since it was close, but I should have checked Unilocal first. Took 4 days for 7 shirts and I just took them all out of the bag and some have worse creases than before. Worst job I have ever seen done on shirts by a dry cleaner. Never go here.

I tried their wash and fold service for the first time today. The guy(who I think is the owner) gave me a bunch of attitude when he came to pick up my clothes about sending my own detergent and softener and requesting that some of my items be partially dried. This despite the fact that I had called and asked before I requested a pick-up and the lady said that it was fine to send my own soap and that they could air dry items. He kept saying«People who wash don’t care about your clothes. That’s why so cheap.» Then when he delivered the items, the bill for 16 lbs of laundry and one dry cleaned skirt was $ 43! Not so cheap. They charged me like $ 20 extra for the partially dried items. When I unpacked my clothes they had not been washed with my detergent and not only did they not use MY softener, they used NO softener, so everything was stiff and mysteriously had cat hairs on it(I don’t have pets). It did not feel clean at all. Then to top it all off, someone else’s gym sock was in my clothes. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because their dry cleaning is good, they were on time with delivering my laundry, and they did hang dry my items despite arguing about it. Will never use their wash and fold service again. He was correct, they don’t care about your clothes.

WORSTEXPERIENCEEVER. I brought several silk dress shirts and 2 dresses here to be cleaned, and one top with a small tear to be sewn. When I picked up the items, I noticed that the tear had not been fixed and that several tops still had stains on them, and brought these shirts back. She apologized for the tear and told me that she forgot, and that she would do it, but she said that the stains on the other tops would not come out(but I took them to another cleaner and they got these same stains out right away!!!). Two days later, I pulled the plastic wrap off one of the dresses in order to wear it to work. I noticed that there was a weird white powder on one of the sleeves. I then tried to undo the zipper at the back to pull the dress on, and it was stuck about 4 inches down. When I looked inside the dress to see if it was caught on the fabric, I noticed that the zipper was cemented shut with this same strange white powder. I immediately brought the dress back, and they claimed that the zipper was old and that they put chalk on it to make it smooth. He then tried to demonstrate how«smooth» the zipper now was, and it would not go past 4 inches down! What a joke. I told him that it was a brand new dress that I had only worn once, and then he claimed that the zipper was cheap, and that because it was cheap it broke when they cleaned it and they had to put chalk on it. This is in no way a cheap dress — this was a brand new $ 200 dress from Saks. Absolutely in no way cheap or old. I asked for a refund, and they refused! Both the man and his wife yelled at me and said that it was in no way their fault, even though I had absolutely not asked them to touch the zipper, just clean the dress! They would not give me a refund, and then insisted that I needed to pay for them to install a new zipper! Such an absolute joke. Terrible customer service — rude, impatient and an absolute refusal to apologize… not to mention forgetting to sew the tear, stained clothes, and the bizarre chalky zipper. Never ever take you clothes here — they will ruin them and charge for it!

The laundry service is great. It is available same day if you drop it off in the morning and is a very good price.

Not impressed. When I got a shirt back with a stain on it, Swan’s didn’t even make an attempt to get rid of the stain, claiming it was impossible to get rid of. (I brought the same shirt back to my old dry cleaner and they got it out immediately)

Why so few stars?! Swan’s is great! The Mrs.(I need to find out her name) always remembers my name, my stuff is always ready on time(if I drop off my laundry first thing in the morning, it’s ready the same day!), service is very quick and prices aren’t too bad. The ONLY problem is the hours. They’re open 7 to 7, which I thought would be OK when I first moved nearby, but it most definitely is not. I pretty much can only go on Saturdays :-/

Absolutely terrible. They made me pay when I dropped the stuff off, then claimed I did not pay and made me pay again when I picked up. Very rude, disorganized and shady.

I don’t get a dry cleaners that is only open until 6pm Monday thru Friday, and then not open on Sunday. Don’t they know the people who are getting their clothes dry cleaned are people who work Monday thru Friday and then like to maybe veg or go out of town on Saturdays!!! This results in me leaving my shit there for weeks, because I can’t find the time to get it back, ugh, frustrating. Re: Fluff & Fold: The soap they use either isn’t strong enough, or they stuff the machines too full because sometimes things I send out come back about the same. And, I know some people are allergic to scented detergent or don’t like it, but I do… The detergent they use doesn’t smell like fresh laundry, which is one of my favorite scents. This is disappointing. Also, if you don’t give them your laundry by 11am you won’t get it back that day, and remember you then have to get it by 6pm. Re: Dry Cleaning: Okay, so I don’t know if pressed ‘70s collars are back in, but every time I have them dry clean my button downs this is how they press them! I keep forgetting to tell them not to do it, so that’s my fault, but come on! Really, I feel like I need chest hair and a gold chain nuzzled in that manliness to pull off the shirts they give back to me. Not cool. And, I’m almost positive that when I give them pants to launder as well as press, they don’t launder them. On the other hand, the service is very friendly. I have not yet used them to tailor anything so I cannot comment(or rant) about that.
