Love sitting at this bar. Delicious bar menu as well. The food and service is phenomenal!

Food was great. Was able to be seated without a reservation on a busy Saturday night. Ordered the porterhouse and it was cooked perfectly. Ordered sides of creamed spinach, mushrooms and potatoes. I thought the mushrooms were a tad salty but otherwise everything was amazing. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Atmosphere is great. Beautiful décor win the tiles and archways. Kinda a cozy feel in comparison to the TriBeCa location which is big and open. The place is quite busy but service was attentive. Always a great meal.

Came here for a work event. The food was good, but not special for a high end steak chain. The steak was properly cooked, but not seasoned very well. The sauteed mushrooms were good. Nothing special about the bread, and the butter was hard.

Nice atmosphere, great quantity of food, but the beef is not as good as Peter Lugar’s. The pricing is about the same between them. Plus, the service at Peter Lugar is so friendly and relaxed that we kind of expected the same as we are aware that the owner used to work at PL at the top. I feel more pride in people’s eyes working at PL. The quality of meat is not bad at all, but does not compare to PL’s. For sure, people get a lot of food, as attested by the fact that almost everybody had a doggy bag with him/her. It is recommended to people who have craving for meat. The location is much more convenient than PL anyway.

I ate lunch menu at wolfgang and it was also good as dinner menu! Me and my husband are not glutton so we tried lunch ribeye steak and petite fillet mignon. Ribeye was delicious and wolfgang’s steak sauce was also good.(I bought a bottle of steak sauce :)) I want to visit again this place!

Food was awesome. Nothing was too salty(as feared), and all 6 people at the table basically said it was the best steak they ever had. I like that they don’t BS you with«Tomahawk» rib eyes or other excuses for higher prices. Porterhouse and bone-in rib eye is all they do. You can order a filet or a sirloin, but they are each clearly just one side of the amazing Porterhouse. The focus works — steaks were delicious and right on time. Sides were: German Potatoes, Mashed, Creamed Spinach and Mushrooms — all got devoured. Manager, hostess and bartender were a pleasure though the Albanian waiters were a bit salty and unappreciative. Other knocks are bland décor, lousy washroom and sterile crowd. Go for the food(warning: clarified butter plays a major role). PS — at under $ 50 per person, Porterhouse here is now cheaper than any other high-end steakhouse in NYC.

The food and service were OK not great. Lighting is awful and there were more kids than a Disney theme park. The biggest disappointment was the portions are really Family Style. There were 3 of us with enough food for 6 with leftovers. The waiter should have told us — hence the $ 400.00 check. That included two cocktails and 3 glasses of wine — nothing extravagant. Not returning because I feel we had been taken advantage of.

I’ve been coming back to Wolgang’s since 2006. By far the best steakhouse for anyone looking for a good combination of wine and a great steak. I’ve been to W’s at Miami and NY and the quality and service is the same. Waiters are very professional(some find them rude, but who care they are the best). Go for the Canadian bacon and the porterhouse. Good selection of wines. Would rank W’s above Smith and Wollesky, Capital Grille, Morton’s and other high end steakhouses.

Lets start off the food was great but 3 stars because its the same look other steakhouses. I mean the same exact look and I expected a little more from this place being in new york city. Im glad I went but wont be back. If you go get the steak for 2, the bacon app and the side of hash browns with dinner.

My experience tonight was super underwhelming, the service was rude, the servers had such closed-body language, it was almost shameful that we tipped 10% on our bill. Due to our earlier adventure where we have already eaten a small snack, we ended up ordering two Rib-Eye Steak, Mash and Cream Spinach as sides. Firstly, upon recommending a wine, instead of asking what kind of wine we were interested in, the waiter insisted that we were Cabernet drinkers, to which I absolutely shook my head to. He insisted that we do an awesome $ 99 wine, to which we replied, no that we would prefer to each have a different glass. As soon as we said that, his whole expression changed, started looking us up and down… We started off with the Canadian Bacon, it was a bit burnt, quite burnt on the edges and the pieces were not as hearty as MarkJoseph; when asking the waiter during our order, if one piece would be enough, he insisted no… and indeed one piece would have been enough. Ordering the steaks were quite easy, asking for 1 rib eye to be medium rare, and 1 to be medium… and instead one came out Rare, and the other Medium… the tendons were super hard and I am not a fan of just swallowing things I can’t chew through. Not only was the steak not cooked to our requests, but the server simply came by and took the meat and slapped it on our plates. After serving the food to our plates, he simply walked away. In our whole an hour and a half of meal time, not a single server came to ask if everything was okay, or if the food was tasty. At the end of the meal and when the bill came, we simply placed our cards into the envelope and they took over 15 minutes to acknowledge that we were ready to check out. On our way out, one of the other waiters that was on the other side came to help clean the table, and he was probably the friendliest face I’ve seen all night in the restaurant. As we walk away from the table, we spot our waiter rummaging through our signed receipts to look at the tip, at least wait for us to leave. Rude. Overall, this experience was enough for me to say that I’ll never come back to this location. I will give Wolfgang itself an extra star simply because their aged steak was quite nicely seasoned, not overwhelming, but just right. The experience with the servers, from their serving attitude, to their actions, to even their body language, made it unworthy of a second visit.

I stopped last night with a few colleagues and had another outstanding dinner. We arrived at 7.00 and told our waiter that menus were not needed. Whiskies for the table; Bacon; Porterhouse Steaks; Creamed Spinach; German Potatoes and Apple Strudel for desert. Everything was perfect! This restaurant is decorated like the other Wolfgang’s locations with dark woods and old school steakhouse furnishings. Wolfgang’s owner Wolfgang Zweiner came by our table and he was awesome to chat with. Another great steak dinner! Wolfgang’s rocks!

I’ve gone several times to this particular location. Good ol’ fashion service from bartenders, servers and general staff. Food is always rockin’ and drinks are built hefty. Some of the best steak and craveable shellfish available in NYC. What else goes best with steak? Some delectable red wine by the bottle, of course. Don’t come-a knockin’, the steak is always rockin’

Went for lunch, and it was probably the most mediocre steakhouse I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere is super generic, and the waiter had a very disinterested attitude. The tomato and mozzarella starter was disappointing — two slices of tomato with a single big chunk of mozzarella? Seriously? Had the tuna as my entrée which was fine. German potatoes were a pretty solid side, although I wouldn’t have wanted more than the few bites I had. My companions ordered the(comically large) porterhouse steaks and loved them — perhaps my non-carnivorish tendencies ruin the place for me. I’d come back, but only if I was being treated. Otherwise, this place is skippable.

I can’t give enough praise for this particular Wolfgang’s Steakhouse. My friends are in NYC Saturday night for a few things: To smoke cigars To let off steam To eat steak To fight with each other(That’s a given) Now our wives and girlfriends wouldn’t agree with these choices. But guess what? It’s guys night out and fathers day is this Sunday so I can do no wrong! ha ha I grab the Maitre d’ and explain to him, my buddy from New Jersey just got a promotion and he’s in the Marines. Can you hook the table up with a cake? Sir, not a problem. Coming to any Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, don’t look at the menu. No menus! There is only one thing to order when you’re here. The porterhouse steak for two. First of all, the porterhouse is two steaks in one. Their large size and the fact they contain meat from two of the most prized cuts of beef(the short loin and the tenderloin) makes it a great, flavorful cut. Wolfgang’s Steakhouse then ages the beef to give you an incredible steak dining experience. Add your typical steakhouse sides like creamed spinach, their German potato hash and voilà! You have a meal fit for a steakhouse lover. We also added a huge seafood platter with lobster tails, crabs, oysters and shrimps. A-mazing… The Wolfgang’s Steakhouse on Park avenue with the tilted ceiling? The waiters baste your steak after it comes out. No one basted our steak. What does this mean? When you order a Wolfgang’s Steakhouse steak, it comes out sizzling with lots of natural juices. The waiter will tilt the plate so all the juices will collect at the bottom. Thats gold in my book! We’re all finished with dinner. The waiter comes out and brings to us a beautiful whipped cream cake topped with fresh fruit. People thought they were singing Happy Birthday but I added«Happy Promotion» to you. Thank you Wolfgang’s Steakhouse as well as the wait staff and Maitre d’ for an amazing night! *The next day my buddy starts bitching about the cake. Why did you order that for him, why didn’t you order this one? We have a email war, F bombs are happening and I delete him from Facebook, Unilocal and Instagram. We’re all going fishing next month. we’ll make up by then. Do you have friends like this? Lord give me strength!

Really like all the restaurants locations, you know you are doing something right when all your locations are popping. The service is always on point and attentive. The basket of potato chips are always Crispy and delicious. The bacon is to die for. And the Manhattan too :)

I am not sure if the right word is «typical» or «generic» NYC steakhouse. Either way, expect the wooden décor you see at every other steakhouse and the same food items on the menu. I went with 2 buddies and shared tomatoes with mozzarela a porter house for 3, with mushrooms, creamed spinach and home fries. Except for the tomatoes which were extremely disappointing, everything was a-ok(hence the 3 stars) but nothing was remotely special. Service was good, but again, nothing special. Price was $ 100 pp with one shared desert and no drinks. No complaints(except for the tomatoes) but it would have been nice to be wowed.

I came here with 10 other dudes for the first leg of a bachelor party. How can you go wrong with porterhouse steaks along with bacon appetizer and side dishes? The service was awesome. Shout out to our waiter for giving us free passes to Sapphire. To be honest though, the steak and the bacon were amazing but the sides were just average. But who would go to a steakhouse for the sides?

So, my hubby & I went to Wolfgang’s tonight to enjoy a nice evening out along with some good food… After a dozen oysters, seafood platter and a slab of bacon, we could only eat a few bites of the dry aged steak for 2, creamed spinach and sautéed broccoli because we were already stuffed! Everything was delicious as usual. My only complaint is that I asked the waiter to bring my hubby a Sundae for dessert… my hubby had shaken his head and said no that’s okay since he was feeling a bit guilty, but I insisted and told the waiter that yes, he wants the sundae. My hubby had been looking forward to having the Wolfgang’s sundae all day, and I wanted to make sure he had it even if he was having doubts at the last minute that it was way too much! He was actually happy I ordered it. But to both of our surprise and disappointment, the waiter wound up bringing us fruit and Schlag. He said, «I thought you would like this instead» and walked away… WTF! Major fail by the waiter!

Wolfgang’s is definetly worth the money. Altough it is quite exspensive the price-quality balance is completely okay. We had the steak for 2 and it was one of the best steaks I ever had in my life. As a few others already mentioned here, the portions are huge so you won’t need another hot dog around the corner after your meal ;) For some people probably annoying could be the noise level which is quite high. But in my opinion this comes along with a good restaurant. All in all, this restaurant is worth a journey!

Okay this place is really amazing. The food is excellent. Definitely pricey but definitely worth it. By pricey i mean i paid $ 6 for a SLICE of bacon. but I don’t even care. it was the best slice of bacon i’ve ever had. Anyway, the filet mignon was fire. It was really so good and a really nice thick piece too. The creamed spinach was to die for and I don’t typically like creamed spinach. I am not a fan of shrimp or any seafood for that matter but the jumbo shrimp seemed to be a huge hit with my family. My entire family came here for my grandparents 50th anniversary and every loved it. Young children even sat still and stayed quiet for the food here! The waiter was very helpful and very accommodating when a huge group of us walked in pretty early. The immediately took our drink and appetizer order and brought everything to the right person. They served us our appetizers very quickly and shortly after took our entrée order. Our food came out cooked to perfection and fairly quickly. This place is very expensive and fancy. It is a great place to come for special occasions. I will certainly return sometime in the future.
