The menu is large with many choices. I ordered the eggs ranchero breakfast sandwich. The blackbean dip they spread on the bread was very good. The big disappointment was that the egg was not real. Instead of a fresh cracked egg the sandwich had a rubbery, egg substitute that had no flavor. This made me wonder what other fake foods this restaurant uses as a substitute for real food. The service was not too friendly. I will not be returning.

Although I like the food and think the TriBeCa location is well managed, the Chelsea Piers location is a disaster. The employees are not only completely disorganized but also rude. I watched for 10 minutes as person ignored at least 5 food orders for breakfast while spending time on a several lunch sandwiches that were clearly for later. When I asked manager about status he said to wait I need to give them time and that I then told me I was a liar about my wait time. I don’t know if this place is under staffed or poorly managed or both. I’d highly recommend avoiding.

This was okay. It would have been much better if the prices were reasonable. I paid almost $ 8 for a breakfast sandwich, and the eggs weren’t even cracked and made. They weren’t fake, but if I’m going to pay $ 8 for a breakfast sandwich, I want you to crack my egg and cook it. Not to mention I saw a list of NYC’s top 10 breakfast sandwiches and this one was on it. Maybe my eggspectation was too high.

I feel like this is the place to post this, but I am UnilocalING on the sandwich shop located near the middle of Bryant Park near the Bocci Ball area(or a game similar to Bocci Ball). The food is expensive for lunch, but the turkey sandwich is one of the best I have had. Its going to be a $ 15 lunch per person, but well worth it and in NY probably not that out of line with normal prices. The sandwich has turkey, avocado, carmelized onions, and an awesome sauce on it. LOVEIT! I have been to NYC many times and usually stay near Bryant Park, hence how I found the sandwich that keeps me coming back. Obviously, I am a big fan of the sandwich. Try it!

Yeah, the coffee here is pretty gross. I had to add sugar, which I never do. The stirrers looked like they were already used. The service is sort of on the aloof side. Dunno, I expected more out of this place.

I only got a latte here on my way back to work but it was good. Service was helpful and unlike Starbucks I actually got what I ordered. Prices were good too for being in NYC.

Although I always thought their food was good, I recently found out that 0% if the«delivery» charge goes to the delivery guy. So… Witchcraft, you want money for the food AND for the delivery and the delivery guy just gets a tip? I sure hope you’re paying them by the hour.

I got the chicken salad sandwich and it tasted ok, but really bland. When I got to the second half, I found two large bones in the chicken that was mostly cartilage. It was pretty disgusting(and a little scary) so I took it back up to the counter. They offered my another sandwich and apologized and were fairly nice about it, and the shrimp sandwich was much better, but overall I was underwhelmed. Dry bread. Insanely overpriced for the quality.

I’m sorry that I could not give them a better review. The employees were helpful and very kind. The food is absolutely delicious and very much worth it. The prices aren’t bad and its in a really nice location. But the only thing that sucked is i waited about 20 minutes for my breakfast sandwich. By the time I got it, I only got to eat a few bites before I had to go to work and have it go to waste. I am really disappointed as in how long it took for me to get my sandwich. People that came before and after me got their food before mine. It should not take that long.

Great lunch spot. The food is fresh and the ingredient quality is high, a midtown rarity. Love the chopped chickpea sandwich and the eggplant sandwich(which they do not have at the Herald Square location). The only downside is that they run out of items and everything is pre-made, so they can’t tailor anything on the menu for you and sometimes the sandwiches are a little soggy. The staff could be a little nicer, too. Bottom line is that they serve up a great sandwich at the same price as most midtown lunch spots… but about a million times better tasting.

Great location, tasty sandwiches, hefty price tag. But what do you expect in Bryant Park. I had the eggplant with chickpeas and it was delish and filling. I’d go again, just not everyday. My wallet can’t handle it.

There are two parts to Witchcraft: Witchcraft Express which has pre-made sandwiches and salads, as well as cookies; and Witchcraft Coffee&Pastry which sells made to order coffee drinks, salads, and sandwiches. Needless to say Witchcraft Express is quicker though the sandwiches at the sister food stand are slightly better. The prices are high for the quality at both but you kinda knew that going in because they’re conveniently located in beautiful Bryant Park with café-style outdoor seating just steps away.

Sandwiches are super good. They are a bit expensive, but are worth it. And they sell San Pallegrino limonata.

I am a fan of the food, but it is really expensive! The last time I was there I had the goat cheese sandwich, which was a little dry but I did like it. This time I got the marinated eggplant sandwich and I enjoyed that a lot better! Still though, the price for the size of the sandwiches and what you get are not exactly worth it. We also had a bit of a wait, which I was not expecting. For a sandwich stand you’d think it would have been a lot quicker but we waited 20 minutes for our order to be ready(and that was the first half, the rest of the orders came out 10 minutes later). What’s nice is that then you’re in Bryant Park, so you get to enjoy your lunch outside. The food is good, just not for that price and portion, and no sandwich should take that long to make.

Okay before I start the review let me just touch on the fact of how disappointing my experience was considering that this is a Tom Colicchio venture, is he not one of the judges on Top Chef? How does that saying go? Practice what you preach. Save yourself the time and disappointment, buy the book and make the selections at home. The place opens at 9:00 but for some reason they didn’t open until 9:20, service is absolutely awful, terrible and whatever other word you would like to use to describe the employees who don’t seem to want to be there. I ordered the fried egg breakfast sandwich. It took about a half hour to 45 minutes to make or warm up, they are not made to order. The bread was stale and old which only took away from the filling and maybe that was a good thing considering that it consisted of wilted brown greens, fatty bacon and what ever else they decided to throw into it. My question, how can someone screw up a fried egg sandwich? Don’t bother with this place. If you see a long line it’s not because of the quality of the food or service. Save your money its too pricey for awful service and less than fresh ingredients.

Tasty treats in the park at Witchcraft. I am a fan of the setting, some of the sandwiches like the smoked ham with avocado on baguette with butter for $ 5 bangers. My soup today of potato and watercress was yum. Most sandwiches are not made to order though are tasty. The sweet treats are the best part. Ice cream sandys– today was caramel ice-cream on an oat meal sandwich. The cookies are delectable– chocolate chip with white chocolate filling is my fave. Yes, they are pricey thought the food is good for a park kiosk.

Ouch. Tough reviews to follow. In the world of midtown lunch, Witchcraft isn’t exactly the priciest(Dishes, anyone?). The ingredients are fresh and high quality and it’s a nice change of pace from the places we frequent more often. The wait is a bit of a hassle sometimes but at the end of the day, you are in Bryant Park to take in Bryant Park and get some fresh air. Well, and to wish you were one of those people that magically sits in the park all day. Our office favors the roasted turkey, chicken salad, and meatloaf sandwiches.

I’m updating my review of Witchcraft. YES, the meatloaf sandwich is very tasty. 10 bucks tasty? NO! Had the pork sandwich today and it was so small, so dried out, so over the top mustardy and spicy… it was one of the worst things I’ve ever had. Small sandwiches at high prices had better be AWESOME. If not, save your money for something better. Like a good burger.

Ok, so I was wondering if I needed to pay extra for the complete effen attitude of the early 20-something latino dude with a pimply face who waited on me??? He rolled his eyes while I paused for a second and laughed at me when I asked for diet coke and then rolled his eyes again when I went into the cooler and grabbed something else. Newsflash — just because you work in a place that plays cool music and has a little ambience does not mean that you are anything other than someone who is paid to put a f-ing smile on your face and not treat me like shit when I order. You are not cool — teen angst and sandwich shop employee — not effen cool. Ok, so on top of it the grilled chicken sandwich has so much cheese on it and once pressed it turned into a grease fest. Tom Collechio — buddy, I am a fan, but you need to school this shit. Seriously.
