Perfect place to spend a rainy Sunday night(or really any time)! The restaurant is much bigger than it appears from outside. In addition to outdoor seating, they have a bar area in the front with a few small tables that opens up to two larger dining rooms in the back, both with different vibes. I sat in the slightly darker dining area in the center, perfect for a date. The ceiling was made of corks and though the tables were tiny, it added to the intimate atmosphere. I arrived before my friend and then took some time to order after they arrived, and our waitress was great and did not rush us at all. We started with an order of hummus and crudités along with a meat and cheese plate that came out with a heaping basket of bread. I really liked the hummus and would have appreciated a larger serving size. For the charcuterie plate, we ordered the piave vecchio, manchego, and pastirma. I would order something other than the manchego next time because it didn’t have much of a taste, but it was presented well and overall we liked the combination of everything. I was very excited to see both bread pudding AND a cookie skillet on the dessert menu-these are my two favorite desserts and rarely do you see them on the same menu. Our lovely waitress espoused the benefits of both, and we ended up ordering the cookie and apple pie. I didn’t love the apple pie and the cookie was tiny-it wasn’t that the skillet was that small, but rather than there was only about a centimeter of dough in there so I didn’t get the full melted dough experience I have had with this dessert at other restaurants. Next time, I’d skip both of these desserts and order the bread pudding!

Came here with a few girlfriends. Staff was friendly, food was delicious. The steak was perfectly medium rare and sooo good! Only thing keeping it away from 5 stars is that I kind of felt the portion was small for the 3 cheese and 2 meats.

My boyfriend and I came here last Wednesday and had a wonderful experience! The hostess was incredibly nice and extremely accommodating in helping us get a table, even though we showed up at prime time on a warm spring night. We sat at the bar and had drinks — myself the rosé upon recommendation of the bartender(excellent, very dry just the way I like it!) and my BF had this awesome Japanese beer with an owl on the bottle that was really great as well. The hostess was really good about checking in with us about available tables and we were seated in the back garden after about 15 min. The food was also really yummy, nice tapas! I highly recommend the bruschetta! Also for the charcuterie board, we loved the humble pie and pastirma! The pappardelle was only okay but we were full already from the apps anyway. Will definitely return soon!

So not sure how to rate, here is why. Wine seem like a modest selection. When I drink wine I enjoy pairing it with chocolate, cheese with spreads, fruits, cheese platter. They had limited menu on appertizers. Seem like a list of 10 dinner choices. And to be fair its not a tapas place. I was waiting for a friend so I sat at the bar. When my friend arrived we asked for a table. Host came back an hour later to say they didn’t have tables. An hour later!!! Lol by then a few glasses of wine had passed and had a few appetizers, good company so we just laughed it off. So my view of it as the name says Wine. Bartender served what we ordered but he was not to social. Seem he was with certain people while not with others. It would be great with your own company but not my first choice if you are visiting alone. So if you want a nice cool Riesling or Pinot, Merlot, drink up. Chin chin!

Went to Wine:30 for a special occasion recently. I really liked the vibe and the outdoor seating. It’s a great date spot. We started with a bottle of wine(they had some reasonably priced bottles for around $ 40) and three of the bruschettas. The cheese/caramelized onion one was amazing — it tasted like french onion soup! The tomato/mozzarella and the mozzarella/pepper/pesto ones were good, but nothing special. Next, I had the pappardelle which was delicious. While I enjoyed my entrée, my boyfriend’s was quite disappointing(the mushroom truffle ravioli). It was a small portion and didn’t have any truffle flavor. Frankly, it just wasn’t good. For dessert I ordered the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie skillet. It was amazing. My boyfriend had the molten chocolate cake. The menu said it came with ice cream, but it didn’t. It was also soaked in raspberry sauce, which really overpowered the cake. I really want to give this place 4 stars based on my order, but I had to bump it down to 3 stars because of my partner’s negative experience. I will be back again for the bruschetta, papardelle, and cookie skillet.(And of course for the wine!)

Came here for a nice weekday dinner. Really liked the back patio and entire restaurant for that matter. Started off with an assorted bruschetta plate. Got the onion and gruyère, peper and mozz and tomato and mozz. Should have just gotten the onion one, as it was leaps and bounds better than the other two. Tasted like the better parts of a french onion soup. As for the other two — they were good, but certainly underwhelming. As for the main course, I got the mushroom ravioli. Was pretty disappointed unfortunately. I believe I just ordered the«wrong thing», as my girlfriend’s papardelle was delicious. For desert, I had the chocolate lava cake and she had the cookie. Both were really good — probably the highlight of the meal for me other than the onion and cheese bruschetta. Wine list was great — had tons of options at some of the better prices in the area. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here, however was a little disappointed in the food. Will be back to try some other menu items.

Went here for my birthday, just me and my man. the ambience was super cute and teh waitstaff where every professional and accommodating. We started off with the artichoke dip which was served with crostini, it was soooo delicious, just melty and buttery and crunchy, yum! sadly the entrees left much to me desired, I got teh ravioli, super small portions and was nothing special at all. my boyfriend got the steak which was just steak, potatoes and some field greens, way to be boring, nothing special about that either. I guess from reading all the 5 star reviews I expected something more but was just left feeling quite unamused. I will say that they have a great selection of wines and would love to try their brunch out in the backyard on a warm day.

What an amazing gem of a place. Went here based in a recommendation from my nephew, whom I consider a man of considerable repute. So I am biased. I was suitably impressed. This is an amazing little place with an inspiring menu and wine list. A special shout out to Brian, Sean(spelling?), and Jackson. They were three of the bartenders and servers that made the visits special. Jackson has a knack for the wines. Sean is super helpful and will guide you through the menu. Brian makes sure everything is in order. A true gem of a place. Can’t wait to go back! Recommendations: cigar rolls, charcuterie, tagliatelle, tuna crudo. Of course wine.

Friendly and knowledgeable bartender Jackson was wonderful. Gave great recommendations and we actually listened. Thankfully he was spot on. We got two orders of the blue point oysters(unfortunately ½ dozen was the only menu option) and the tuna tartar. Both paired nicely with the Albariño Spanish white and a refreshing gin fizz. Prices were reasonable for nyc. Music was fun and upbeat(not mainstream) and we weren’t yelling over each other. Great atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

I really wanted to enjoy the place since it looks cute and it’s not really expensive but the food was so bad! The service was ok although the server was filling our glasses with wine like there was no tomorrow. I hate when they fill your glass all the way, specially with a rose wine, not classy at all. We had different small plates but there was no flavor. The guacamole was full of tomatoes and very liquid, the bruschetta didn’t have taste which is odd since pretty much it’s cheese and bread. I guess they don’t use quality ingredients because if you buy any italian cheese with a good bread it will taste amazing. I don’t get the 4 stars on Unilocal, that’s the reason I dropped by :(

After enjoying Wine:34 during NYC’s record-breaking blizzard earlier this winter, I had the opportunity to check out its sister location during another incredible anomaly: a 72-degree day in EARLYMARCH. Just in case someone happens to stumble upon this review years from now, I’d like to confirm that yes, this weather actually happened. Because of the beautiful evening, we decided to check a few local places that had outdoor seating for any availability. We put our name in here, waited a half hour at an Irish pub down the street, came back to the wine bar, and — voila — a table had just opened up. The patio area is actually pretty spacious and an absolute oasis in a part of Flatiron/Murray Hill that feels very Midtown-y. Wine: I am(still) of the opinion that the pours at both locations are too small. For $ 13 a glass, you should get a bit more. Still, I loved my bold, fruity and peppery glass of red Zinfandel so much, I had to order another. My boyfriend wasn’t crazy about his Pinot, and neither was I. Dinner: We got a 2 cheese+1 meat plate, an appetizer, and an entrée to split between the two of us, and it ended up being the perfect amount. Our favorite item was the cheese+meat plate. The Dunbarton Blue(raw cow’s milk) was amazing, the Moses Sleeper(raw goat’s milk) was a bit muted but still good, and the prosciutto was a nice complement. I did miss the truffled sopressata, which was available at :34 but not here. Also notable was the tender salmon(with kale, quinoa and tomato caponata). Kale and quinoa are really not my style, but I enjoyed the tomato-salmon pairing! The garlic-ginger shrimp with cilantro-lime dipping sauce were also good, but I wasn’t blown away by the sauce, which was a tad lackluster. I probably could’ve knocked off a star for the small pours or the probably unnecessarily high price tag, but I just don’t want to. We really enjoyed everything about our experience here, from the carefully curated wine list to the attentive service to the ability to dine al fresco.

Do you like wine? Who doesn’t? And other rhetorical questions. Wine:30 is a good time(no pun intended). They have a cool backyard(that’s enclosed in the colder months), a kickass wine selection, and a pretty impressive food menu. Saw a lot of people getting the burger or the sliders, but decided to be fancy and get charcuterie instead. Got the two cheese and one meat combo. Got the Manchego, which is one of my all-time favorite cheeses, a soft French cheese akin to brie(Brillat Savarin), and for the meat, Pastirma(which is spice rubbed beef). Wasn’t a fan of the Pastirma, but the cheeses were great, and they give you a CRAPTON of bread. Three different types. My favorite was the toasted raisin bread. Could just eat that by itself. The charcuterie plate also came with pickled vegetables. Fennel, carrots, and probably the most acidic pepperoncino I’ve ever encountered in my years. Oh yeah, they also have wine. Wine by the glass is pretty reasonably priced(the majority of the by-the-glass ones are under $ 17).

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere. I took my wife here for our anniversary and we couldn’t have had a better experience. It was during the middle of the week and this place was still packed. Even still, we were seated quickly even without a reservation. This is a really hip place with great décor and great mood. The food here is to die for. I had the Pan Seared Scallops, which were so good, even Gordon Ramsay himself would approve.

We enjoyed Saturday brunch on their gorgeous patio. This is a small store front that you could pass up but, I would highly recommend making reservations and dining on brunch here. The décor on the inside is warm and inviting but, the bathrooms are single stall and the one is very tiny. If you can dine on the outdoor patio please do; the ambiance makes you feel like you aren’t in a city but, are dining in a café with nice art and the busy streets are a world away. I ordered the breakfast bruschetta that came with mixed greens. The bread was perfectly crisped beneath the egg and bacon. The pico on top was a nice touch and I opted to add some Tabasco for a little heat(very evident that I have been living in Texas way too long). Decent coffee and my guy said the bloody mary was ok but, could have used a little something extra. If you are looking for a brunch spot that is well priced and classy without being pretentious than this is the place for you.

Inching into my late 20’s, I’ve picked up a new obsession — Wine. I can get a little trashy, but pretend to be a little classy all at the same time! Could there be a bigger win than this? I spent a lot of time reading reviews for the wine bars around the area we were staying and ended up at Wine:30 after finding out that my first choice was closed on New Year’s day. We came around 9pm(New Year’s day — Friday night) and found the place to be relatively empty. Bonus for us as the space was small, and even for NY standards, the tables were too close together(seriously, about 6 inches apart). If you’re on a date and looking to having an intimate conversation, think twice before you take her/him here. As for the drinks, I had a glass of wine and my date had a moscow mule(which he said was good). We also shared the two cheese and one meat plate — featuring the Niman Ranch Jambon Royale, literally just tastes like ham, the Moses Sleeper, supposed to be a more spreadable cheese but was def not, and the Pecorino di Vino, a stiff cheese that had hints of vino, def my favorite for the night. I consider myself a charcuterie board fanatic, and this was not a board to be writing home about.

I came here one night after dinner with two friends from work to enjoy a nice bottle of wine. You’re likely to find many wine bars in Midtown, but we were surprised to find one on a quiet block in Nomad. The interior is very spacious and well lit, providing an excellent spot for any occasion that calls for vino. The wine list is expansive, as one would expect, neatly broken up by grape and blend. Our server/sommelier was not as knowledgeable of the selections as I would have hoped, seeming to stumble on my simple inquiry for a dry white. However, all in all, Wine:30 provided good service and a fine night of drinks.

Came here with some girlfriends on a Friday night. We had reservations for 8:30 and we showed up 45 minutes early. I assumed we would have to wait to be seated but they seated us right away! and in the garden in the back.(loving the fact that its 60degrees in the middle of December). The garden was beautiful and had many heat lamps to keep diners warm. Our waiter was super nice. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco and a few of the menu items to share. Everything was delicious! If you are ever in the area or want to dine outside in the garden, check out this place. Also heard they have another location opening up.

I had been wanting to check out this place for a while. A friend & I finally came by on Wednesday night. They have plenty of space heading back in to the restaurant & a lovely back garden/patio. It was a perfect cool summer evening so we opted to sit outside. Had two rounds of Malbec. We decided to just have a variety of appetizers instead of entrees. We had: Garlic-Ginger Shrimp With Cilantro-Lime Dipping Sauce(yummy), Fresh Lump Crab Cake(very tasty), Pan Fried Cigars(good), Spicy Beef Sausage Lollipops(OK), & the fish tacos(delicious). Food is good, service is friendly & prompt, and nice/intimate ambiance. Good prices too. Would definitely come back.

Warning this is a brunch review! The first and only time I came here was for an early brunch on Sunday morning(not normally my thing but I was up and this place was close to mi casa). There was plenty of seating options — in front patio where you can people watch with ease, the indoor restaurant area or the backyard garden seating. I chose the backyard because it had a really cool layout with a touch of greenery on the back wall. So A+ for the décor /ambience, but the boozy brunch specials were meh. They had 2 for 1 mimosas and bloody mary’s. In retrospect, I kind of wished I went with just wine. It would’ve been cool if their boozy brunch specials applied to all or at least some of the wine(since it is a wine bar). The brunch menu was small with only a handful of options. I ended up with the most(and only) intriguing thing on the menu which was the Sausage and Egg Bruschetta. It turned out magnificent. However, with so many other great brunch spots in the city, I was not as taken back by this spot. And another note, the entire place was pretty empty the whole time I was there. This is somewhat indicative of perhaps coming here for brunch. That being said, I would love to come back for post-work drinks because their wine menu looked fantastic!
