Easily one of my top brunch spots in the village! Never have to wait for a seat and the food is so good, some of the best avocado toast I’ve ever had. Beer cocktails are also amazing. A staple in my restaurant outings! Gets pretty packed on the weekend nights but a fun spot for drinks if you can grab a table.

It takes a lot for me to return to a bar or restaurant, but I am officially a regular at Wilfie & Nell. Like the bar named Cheers on that show named Cheers, people here know my name(for better or for worse). And I think they actually like me(for some reason). Let’s get this out of the way: W&N is great for meeting people, if you catch my drift. I’m talking about hot local singles in your area. Always a ton of people on Fridays, Saturdays, and even Sunday(during and post-brunch). Gender ratios are usually pretty balanced. The later it gets, the more crowded it is, which is both good and bad. They have a ton of great whiskeys and bourbons available(most of which are reasonably priced), and bartenders who more often than not make sure you get a buyback at the end of the night. I always go for a pickleback. I’ve also eaten here a few times. Their La Frieda burger is surprisingly solid and better than what you’d expect at a bar. The pork sliders are just ok. You’ll probably also be tempted by the smell of fries coming out of the kitchen. Just give in, you can diet tomorrow. The only thing that saddens me is whenever I look at my credit card statement at the end of the month. Going to Wilfie & Nell eight times in four weeks really takes a toll on the bank account. But it’s so fun. Oh well, worth it for review #1,800.

The drinks were yummy but pricey. The service is what gets the one star. My party and I left a 20% tip on our bill and the waitress chased us down to «politely» ask what she did wrong. We put down another $ 5 because we were so uncomfortable– then she approached us about it again before we were out the door. Not going back

Very chill place. Dimmed lights, great drinks, and a great time. The mixed drinks were awesome, really well made. We came on a Monday night and the bar still had a bunch of people enjoying themselves. We will definitely be back. Cheers!

Been here only a few times for drinks, but I’m always impressed. A decent crowd of people with a mix of ages. More importantly, the drinks are served nice and stiff and reasonably priced, a welcome experience for the area. Great place to pre-drink before a show at the Cherry Lane Theater. Definitely worth a check out.

Went here on a Wednesday night to get drinks. Fun and nice hole in the wall bar. Almost tried everything on the cocktail list and it was all super good and has the right kick of flavor. Definitely a good place for a casual drink.

If I could give this place 3.5 stars I would( UnilocalPLEASELETUSUSEHALFSTARS!) but I must settle for the slightly harsh rating of 3. For one, this place is sooooo cozy inside; perhaps too cozy. It makes you want to roll up into a ball and fall asleep with your drink instead of being lively and have fun. That being said, it was still a nice spot. Definitely they know their drinks as their cocktail menu sounded very delicious albeit a little pricey. We ordered beers which were craft beers, I think some of them local, and the one I got was delicious. On the downside, a cheese plate we ordered with only three cheeses on it took over 30 minutes… This was definitely unacceptable, especially since the place was almost empty. At the end of the day I would most like not return, only maybe for once of those tasty craft beers.

Wilfie & Nell is your typical college bar. Very loud and very crowded. It took forever to order a drink but once we did we were able to stand shoulder and shoulder and mingle the best we could. Towards the back it’s a bit less crowded and there is seating but with only one bar ordering a drink will take a while so patience is a virtue.

After the classic dive bar, this is the type of bar I like to enjoy. Came here around 7pm on a Saturday, so the vibe was more comfortable than crowded. W&N has a chill, rustic vibe(w/no TV) that conduces plenty of chatter and drinking. The tunes are on, but low, so you can still vibe out and hear the person next to you speak. The drink menu is solid, should you need a cocktail, and the food menu is small, but well concocted. After moving from the bar to a private table in the back(come early and get this table) we picked up some bacon wrapped figs stuffed with cheese and a grilled cheese with ham on Pullman. Both we’re good and the perfect pairing with our(many) drinks. Our waitress checked in on us often and refilled water/drinks whenever necessary. An all around good time here and I’ll def be back during a few early evenings this winter.

A charming little gastropub spot that seems particularly popular with the preppy set. A good date spot(I myself got asked on a date here my quite the prepster). Reasonably priced drinks and nice ambience.

Nice cozy atmosphere to grab a drink and catch up with friends. Also, great drinks, service and amazing chicken liver pâté!

Eh, this could be just because I went here on Halloween night, which is the craziest night to do anything, I suppose — but this place was WAY too crowded. There was even a bouncer outside that was limiting the amount of people that went in, which is a great idea, obviously, but it was still far too crowded. And it was all finance dudes, who were pretty rude. I had a vodka cranberry, and it wasn’t that great either. Just an overall meh experience. :/It’s really pretty, though, and I see there is a real food menu, so I’d like to come back to give it another try.

Last night was surprisingly my first time at Wilfie and Nell. As we were walking in some guy passing by on the street with his friends said«and that’s the bro bar.» Completely accurate, haha but if you are in the mood for that kind of night, it is a lot of fun. It’s a smaller space than I expected but the crowded was fun, bartenders were good and drinks were good. I have always heard this is the place to go on thursday nights so if you want a «Yo Pro» bar on a thursday night definitely stop by.

Have been to Wilfie and Nell’s on a number of occasions with colleagues who like to go there for post-work drinks. It’s a pretty solid watering-hole that seems to cater to a West-Village, Finance, and rather eclectic group of professionals. The space has an old English pub feel. The design is actually pretty impressive. It has a dive bar feel but, somehow, the crowd there seems to make it more than a typical dive bar. Definitely not at lot of folks standing around being too cool for school. The bartenders are cool and they have a great beer selection. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten there but on my most recent trip with friends visiting from out of town we snacked on some fries and they were solid. Bathroom lines can be long when Wifie’s is packed but they do move as they have two unisex bathrooms. My only challenge with Wilfie’s is that the layout doesn’t allow for a lot of comfort when it gets really crowded(i.e., More than likely you’ll be standing and you’re constantly having to adjust to let people by). But if you’re ok with that, as I am, then it’s really not that big of a deal. Wilfie’s is a great watering-hole. Will definitely be going back and suggest you checking it out if you haven’t already. Rating: 3.5 Stars

Came here purely because someone in our group needed to pee, and ended up staying for a few rounds of drinks. The drinks were good, but pricier than I was in the mood for last night($ 11-$ 12 cocktails, which were maybe 5oz drinks). The service was good, kept the water coming. I couldn’t hear the music, and the bathrooms were reportedly very warm. Atmosphere was rustic and fun, but no different than other similar venues I have been in. They did have a Murray’s cheeseboard on the menu, so I’m always a fan of that. All-in-all decent spot, just not terribly unique.

I came here with my girlfriend for a quick drink and a snack before sneaking home to Brooklyn. She had a perfectly fine well cocktail and I sucked back some tasty ports. We ordered a scotch egg and it was a little rubbery on the outside and cold on the inside, but it did come with some good mustard — also a little pricey for what it was. A very cozy bar with a great atmosphere, and waiter service at the tables. I don’t think I would order food here but I would come with a group for a few drinks before heading elsewhere. I can’t say there is anything particular that stand out about Wilfie & Nell and nothing that is going to draw me back.

I first came to Wilfie & Nell’s when I moved to the city, early 20s person looking to check out all the bars. This was where I was first introduced to pickle backs and they do a really good pickle back here. I also like that they have large tables to accommodate groups. Mid twenties version is not as excited about this place anymore. Its usually way too crowded during prime times. The bar has a bouncer during these prime times(also dont try to wear a costume to this bar when its not exactly Halloween Day, Oct 31st. They wont let your costume wearing group in. Yup, that happened.) The crowd reminds me of greek life. Lots of polos. The standard jeans, cute sweater, tall boots, and Longchamp tote here. Its not a positive or a negative, just prefer a more diverse crowd. The drinks are decent. I recently came for brunch and had their avocado toast with poached egg and chili pepper salt. It was tasty and filling. I recommend. If you order a brunch entrée, you can order 5 $ drinks off the menu. Good deal. Its a solid place to check out in the West Village.

if this place wasn’t always packed to the gills, i’d like it a lot more. Been here twice(on the early side, too around 8⁄9 — once on a weekday and once on a Sat) both times it was uncomfortably crowded and loud. I’ll say that on the inside, it’s cozy and pretty and if i were ever able to secure a table it could be worth it for a small group cause the vibe is cool and the food looks good. Unlike other Unilocalers, I found the crowd to be pretty diverse in age and despite the crowdedness, found my fellow patrons, bouncers, and bartenders to be pretty chill and respectful. worth noting — i was pretty disappointed in the beer selection. W&N has such an intense UK tavern theme going on I thought there’d be more exciting beers but its just the usuals. the bourbon buck is pretty delish.

Oh how I miss the dark and smokey(feeling) basement bar in lower Manhattan. The exposed brick, old dark wood tables, rickety floor boards, and people jam packed into every nook and cranny. Wilfie & Nell gives you that. We came here on Friday night to get together with some friends for a birthday celebration. It delivered exactly what it promised. I usually drink beer, but decided to try one of their specialty coctails tonight. I am a fan of Bourbon, so I got the«Bourbon Buck», bourbon with ginger lemon molasses soda. It was really good. Just the right amount of alcohol, tartness, and sweetness. I had 2, even though I originally told myself I would try one of those and switch to beer. I didn’t eat, but my friends tried a few things from their«Snack» menu(scotch egg and sliders) and seemed to enjoy it. All-in-all its a cool little neighborhood bar that is nice to hang out in.
