For the LP reviewer — It is not the doctor who can be held responsible for the governance and restrictions imposed by a patient’s insurance carrier. The doctor has an obligation to make a recommendation based on his clinical evaluation. Anything less is suboptimal care, ethically and legally. Your frustration is understandable, but should be directed, more correctly at your insurance carrier. Doctors are frequently caught in the middle of what a patient should have, and what insurance is prepared to provide.

Never thought I would need a podiatrist, but alas, I broke my foot, went to CityMed Urgent Care and eventually was referred to this office. Got in right away, he looked at the x-rays, and gave me a clear plan. Cannot wait to get back to walking without the boot and crutches, but really appreciate the kind treatment and getting in so quickly. I disagree with the review he is «comatose», he is just a simple, straight to the point podiatrist.

Terrible bed side manner. I found Dr. Whitney a Troubled man. I would never never refer him.

If you have a foot problem, keep moving. Bad experience with an uninterested, comatose podiatrist who cared more about getting paid than finding out what was actually wrong with my foot. After my visit with him, it is still unclear why my foot is the size of a football(he said an MRI can really show what’s going on, but he won’t do it because the insurance won’t cover it without«treatment» for two weeks). Two weeks of limping around the office, when i probably didn’t need to.
