Walker & Whyte NYC Footwear

Service was decent and pretty quick. Nothing to rave about exactly but the girl who helped me was nice. I came here with my sister looking for Toms shoes specifically. Urban Outiftters didn’t have my size but luckily this place did. Got the shoes, tried them– I liked it and went to pay. I walked out happy and I’ll come back here when I want more canvas hipster shoes.

So, being that I’m trying to get in shape, and I walk all around Manhattan a couple of days a week. I didn’t want to wear my gym sneakers, everywhere. It’s the summer time, people are wearing cute sandals, and maybe its time to chuck the flats until next spring. Anyway I’ve always wanted a pair of Birkenstock’s, but was hesitant about purchasing because of the look, and price.
Today I’ve been to 2 DSW stores (they had them but only in two styles, and, colors) Nordstrom Rack, Lohmens, Burlington. I walked all the way to SoHo, «finally» I thought! I found my new Birkies’s in different styles and colors. I quickly decided on the Mayari style in patent leather straps, I was expecting to pay about 90 – 100 bucks on them– they were cheaper than all the places I went into (Even on Zappos!)
The man at the register helped me feel confident in my decision, he made me smile which is rare, and even helped me put my other bags in their reusable tote. When winter rolls around I’ll be back here dishing out cold hard cash on some Birki clogs.

This place has terrible service! The guy that was helping me with my shoes asked me for my number. I just wanted to shop in peace! Please don’t hit on me!!! I went there a second time, and the same worker followed me out of the store and he wouldn’t leave me alone until I talked to him.
This is no way to treat customers. I wasn’t flattered, I felt like customer service crossed a major boundary. I will avoid that place at all costs.

My newest addiction… Miz Mooz shoes!!!
I had just gotten my first pair a few months back and immediately fell in love with the versatility and style, not to mention the comfort. This is a brand that’s only at selected stores on the West Coast. I happened to have gotten mine at a Nordstrom department store and the only other place I’ve seen them at is at DSW. So when I came to NYC, I was super stoked to visit this store. The staff are such cool people, even with my indecisiveness, they kept their smiles on. I had them probably take out 6 pairs of the same style since the color of the shoe was nude, the shade of the leather on each shoe varied. I had to take one shoe from one box to match the other. It was a bit of a pain but… bingo, got a pair to match thanks to their patience and assistance.
I am so pleased with the store and this brand. If there was one locally, I’d probably be shopping for a new pair every payday.

Miz Mooz just gave me Nordstroms level customer service. I love my new shoes — I had an unfortunate accident that destroyed a part of one of my new beautiful Miz Mooz Shoes. I wrote to the Company and they are special ordering me a new part. I a sure they cannot do that in every case… But I am so grateful and impressed! Go to your local shoe store and ask for Miz Mooz — Ultra cool, different and comfortable. What more can you want?
