Never thought I’d ever say this about a pharmacy or is it! Walgreens is everything you’re local neighborhood needs be it medicine or groceries and snacks. If you run out of milk or more importantly ice cream they have it. This review is for this location. Shelves are always stocked and the staff is very friendly and chatty. To the staff working there, you guys rock

It’s always nice & clean. The security at the front door isn’t very friendly. I know in most stores, they greet you when you walk inside, but this guy just stares at me like I did something wrong. The cashiers are always friendly though, thank goodness for that. I come here to get my Essie nail polish fix. They have a good selection. I’m trying to come here more often & ween myself off of Rite Aid!

Dear Female Cashier with the Stank Face: Why did you pursue a job in customer service, which entails engaging with customers and ensuring that all their needs are met, when you obviously have no desire to undertake such an enormous responsibility? When a customer approaches the register to pick up an item, has it ever dawned on you that you should perhaps acknowledge the customer and offer to help him, instead of giving him a blank and in accommodating stare? Why did you get an attitude when I told you what I was there for? Why did you take my cash and dump the change in my hand without so much as a thank you? What a joke. My first and last time at Walgreens. I’ll go to Rite Aide or CVS, which is just blocks away. The prices are basically the same, but I get much better customer service. Walgreens was the last pharmacy to open up in the neighborhood. If you want to attract new customers then fix your attitude and start offering better customer service. Disclaimer: The other worker there are nice, but that one bitchy cashier has turned me off from this Walgreens.

In many ways Walgreens is a definite improvement over Rite Aid across the street, e.g. stocked shelves, cleanliness, staff attitude. I’m always amazed at how many drugstores can be concentrated in a small area and all stay in business! I guess it boils down to convenience… the direction I’m driving on Flatbush determines which parking lot I turn into, because for stuff like shampoo or sunscreen the two stores are pretty much the same.
