What a great experience! From the sale rack to the salesman, I was in heaven I was not even shoe shopping, but coveting those quilted leather sneakers since last year, and there they were on the sale rack. Of course, not in black in my size– he brought up anything he thought was ‘cool’ in my size, and did great… and I almost bought«off white» that kinda looked grey, until he went back down, pulled out a camel color pair and said, «I love this color.» Camael is so me. I love Camel, grey, black & white, and these shoes against my skin were so much better– plus cruise in 23 days and counting=sale! Then I had been coveting high top leather sneakers to run around in that were not gym shoes, a little classier… and he loved them, and i hesitated, but he was right– they rocked, and the sale was too good to pass– I did not need boots this winter and for a little over $ 100 buck I justified got 2 pair of exactly what I had wanted from a pleasant staff in a great store. Fun unexepcted shopping day!

A designer brand name boutique on Fifth Avenue in Flatiron where I briefly indulged the view. The seed of upscale fashionable and high quality clothing was planted within me but my budget force me to make an abrupt exit without making any purchase. Service is courteous, attentive, and very approachable without the standard callous and snide tone. Despite of not purchasing from this boutique, I recently bought a Vince Camuto greyish/black skirt from a reputable department store.

I was unfamiliar with the Vince Camuto brand until my husband and I wandered into the VC boutique in the Flatiron district. Right away we were greeted by a charismatic and personable sales associate, who we later learned was the manager, Becky H. She asked where we were from and was immediately very helpful and made us feel welcome. My first impression of the store: beautiful boutique shoes, organized, clean and well-run. I was immediately drawn to several pairs of shoes, which IMO are very tasteful, high-end looking, well made, and affordably priced. They also had a great sale going on at the time and the mark downs were awesome. The store was bustling with customers but it never felt chaotic and I didn’t feel rushed. The sales associate that helped me, Christina S., was very sweet, competent and accommodating. After trying on about 20 pairs of sandals, she helped me find the perfect pair of open-toe gladiators, Tanasha’s, which were almost perfect, but the left side was a little too tight(my left foot is wider). Becky offered to have them stretched for me, which she said would only take about 5 minutes. Christina rushed off and returned a few minutes later with my sandals, which now fit perfectly. The pair I chose were unfortunately not on sale, but I didn’t care because I got a gorgeous pair of shoes that are also comfy, and I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of them. I have to say that this was one of the best shopping experiences I’ve had in NYC, not only because the product is so excellent, but the customer service was equally fantastic. I look forward to my next visit to NYC and shoe shopping at VC. Thanks to Becky, Christina and the rest of the staff for the great experience. I’m now a loyal customer.
