Veterans Chair Caning & Repair

They are pricey but very good at what they do. We sent 3 Haitian mahogany chairs for repair. They charged $ 20 for pick up and delivery on Monday when their truck makes the rounds and that saved me a round trip taxi trip which might have cost more with traffic jams. To re hand-​cane 2 of the chairs and to reglue one of the chairs, it was $ 1100 plus tax for a total of $ 1227.62. They also repaired the chairs quicker than expected, August 17-​September 1, to accommodate the fact that I will be traveling back to Afghanistan for duty and I wanted to pay before I traveled. I was surprised to know that they have hand caning in NY and now I will refer them to other neighbors in Tudor City who might have antique cane furniture. They only take checks not credit cards.

I had 4 cane Wegner chairs that had fallen apart due to time and abuse. The guys at Veteran’s caning restored them to their former glory — including repairing a broken wood piece. They picked up and delivered the chairs when they said they would and actually got the chairs done in less time then they estimated. It is refreshing to see a company under promise and over deliver these days! 5 enthusiastic stars!
