I wish I could give this establishment zero stars. I went once to visit Dr. Wells, who is a very nice person. However, I waited an hour to see her. In addition, this office’s hours are 9 am to 5 pm and they DONOT have a voicemail. They are VERY difficult to get ahold of and extremely rude when you can reach them. The receptionist here who deals with billing is an absolute nightmare. I could not get ahold of the office to cancel an appointment within 24 hours when something came up, ANDTHEYHAVE A $ 100CANCELLATIONFEE. They told me I would not have to pay the bill if I had no intention of returning — which, of course, I didn’t. But they continued to badger me with bills until I called and they said that I would, in fact, have to pay. This is absolutely ridiculous to charge people for a cancellation when they are IMPOSSIBLETOGET A HOLDOF. Do not go here. Do not give them your business.

Like others mention on ZocDoc, you will always wait at LEAST30 minutes to be seen. Both times I went, I waited an hour to be seen and witnessed a lot of other patients complaining about their wait. I tried to look past this as I was really happy with my visit with Dr. Wells, once I was actually seen. However, after a terrible billing issue with the office I will never be returning. The office double billed my insurance. I went for an annual preventative exam, and they charged me additionally for an «office visit.» Keep in mind the actual time I saw the doctor was about 20 – 30 minutes. First, they said it was because my insurance doesn’t cover preventative exam co-pays if they«find something wrong with me.» I confirmed with AETNA that was not the case. When I speak with them again, they tell me I was charged an additional office visit charge(for ONE30 min visit) because«the doctor spent additional time speaking with you.» I find that particularly insulting because I waited over an hour to be seen for only 20 – 30 minutes, which is a short and typical appointment time. When I told them this, they said«sorry, this is how our office bills things.» I’ve never been to a doctor’s office that double bills patients on the grounds that they spent«extra time» with a patient. Unfortunately, here in the US it is totally at the doctor’s discretion for how and what they bill you. Nevermind the day of my visit I confirmed w/the front desk that I did NOT have a co-pay, only to hear back MONTHSAFTER the visit that I did owe a copay(for reasons that were not clear, and kept on changing). If you don’t have time to constantly be on top of your bills, if you don’t want to be slammed with hidden fees for what is in my opinion a totally invalid claim(extra time? are you serious? for a 20 – 30 min interaction which SHOULD be that long for an annual?!), I would avoid this office at all costs. ALSO, the long wait time is particularly unacceptable. If you have a job you need to get back to during the day, this is definitely not the place to go because you will waste your time.

Dr. Wells is amazing, she is so knowledgable and personable. The wait in the office can be a bit long sometimes but she’s worth the wait, best doctor ever.

This is nothing against the doctors at this establishment. However, having rude staff greet your clients is unacceptable. I walked in and the receptionist, Angela, looked up at me quickly and said, last name? Not even a hello how are you. Just quick glance… last name. Angela also had an extremely rude attitude. She then looked up at me after answering a few calls and acting as if she was assisting the president and said, your appointment was canceled. Now, if I was to work in a doctors office and a situation like this occurred, I would use my tact and grace to explain the issue and see if I could accommodate the client. Angela did not. She was very rude and seemed disconnected and uninterested in the inconvenience of cancelling my appointment. I am very sorry to say that I will no longer be a client at upper east side gynecology. Thank you and my suggestion is to hire hospitable receptionists. Thank you.

I love Dr. Archibald! I have been seeing her for almost 10 years and she is amazing. Always very patient and helpful. When I see her for my annual its always super quick and painless! The new office is spotless and very comfortable. I highly recommend her!
