Uni K WAX-Hells Kitchen

Well this place is a great and needed addition to the hood but I’ve had the same experience the 5x’s I’ve been there. The waxing staff is nice but they are perpetually late. This is extremely annoying. If I’m expected to be on time then they should as well. Also, for the price of $ 55 for full wax they should do everything. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t.

The Best Wax in Manhattan very nice people, amazing service and excellent green wax soft, warm and elastic I love it. The store smell good and I can not believe is so painless.

I have never had little bumps or blisters from waxes before this experience. I don’t recommend this place for people with sensitive skin. I will not be returning here.

Not bad. My specialist was Kathleen, she was lovely.
I was a little worried because I sat in the room by myself for 15 minutes waiting for the wax to be ready.
I also have very sensitive skin. So to inform all of you who don’t know already places like Uni K and European wax Center that use the not strip needed wax charge for every little piece of your body, regardless of there are 5 hairs on your hands, you are still charged for hands.
I am someone that likes to remove the hair where the hair is. Once the hair is gone we don’t need to go over the raw skin again. That is there way of charging you for the wax that is used, when truly it’s so righteousmore harmful to your body.
So please be careful with you skin and speak up please. DO NOT keep going over the skin that’s already hair free.
For full arms+ hands (all 5 hairs) and under arms, and a free upper lip because it was my first time was $ 57 and a 10 dollar tip
I paid almost 70 dollars for two things! I don’t know that I will be coming back, those prices are pretty self righteous.
Going off of technique, it was okay. And the place over all is clean. But I’m sure there are better prices else where.

I love this place. I initially went to the Uni K on 34^th and 3^rd, but switched to this location for the convenience. I typically go to Marlene, but everyone who’s serviced me has been great. Marlene is so fast! She’s done both my Brazilian and underarms. She’s VERY knowledgeable and gave be some great tips after I had been shaving in between waxes to get things back in order. I love the Uni K point system as well. The ladies are very efficient and are super courteous. I would highly recommend!

While I do think they do a good job waxing (I go to Flatiron location and 8^th St) I think the service is HORRIBLE. They are totally rude and obnoxious at reception and even with an appointment they will make you wait 45 minutes. I complained once to corporate and they did not give a crap about what I had to say, and that was their response after making me wait 9 days to get back to me.

Got eyebrows waxed and quality was fine. However, had to wait half an hour as all employees were running late. Not good if you are in a time crunch. Receptionist kept saying «just 5 more minutes!» Will not come back during day.

I highly recommend Miriam. She was sweet, professional and observant to my skin needs. I have sensitive dry skin and uni wax worked seemlesly.

I asked for «Celebrity Brows», which is when they measure the angles of your face (or some process of the sort) to decide which eyebrow shape suits you best. I also specified to Marlene that I didn’t want my eyebrows too thin.
Marlene completely destroyed my eyebrows. This supposed specialist didn’t take into consideration the small scar in my eyebrow. She left both of my eyebrows uneven. One was thicker and more angular than the other. She left my scar exposed when she took off too much hair, so it looks like I have a hole in my other brow.
I also did did a full arm wax and a brazilian. I left covered in little bits of wax.
I walked out of the waxing booth in tears so they didn’t charge me. Thankfully, they fixed my eyebrows at a nail salon close by for only 10.00 $.

This place is great and convenient if you live and/​or in the Hell’s Kitchen area. On a Sunday afternoon, I called and had an appointment within an hour. The place is very clean and has plenty of rooms. And you can’t beat the price of a Brazilian wax for just $ 50!!! She was fast and nice, but not too chatty. I like the hard wax too. Their formula leaves the skin very soft when it’s over and doesn’t hurt as much as soft wax with strips. I would definitely go back to this place if I’m in town.

I have found my new go to waxing place. Bought the full leg, Brazilian and underarm package which was quite reasonable. Service was prompt, not too painful, and Marlene was very friendly. Will definitely be back!

Amazing! Called and got an appointment this morning fifteen minutes before going in. I got a Brazilian from Brigette who was incredibly thorough and distracted me at all the right times. She also informed me on proper avoidance of ingrown hairs and clearly knows her craft very well.
I also appreciated that the staff wasn’t pushy in making me buy a series of packages as a lot of waxing places try to do. I’ll definitely be back!
