Dr. Tucci is not a good doctor. He is rude and seemed in a rush the three times I took my daughter to see him. One month after we went to see him, he recommended a vitamin treatment for her healing. Really? He couldn’t give us that advice four weeks earlier? No, because he is always in a hurry. He would leave the room, sometimes more than once, when we were explaining my daughter’s condition to him. When he was in the room, he would stand by the door, as if in a rush to leave. This doctor has very bad bedside manners and showed very little respect for my daughter’s feelings. He seems experienced, but I cannot trust a doctor who treats his patients as if they were on a conveyor belt.

Frankly, I don’t know what some of these people are talking about, unless maybe they don’t understand that not everything can be made perfect and painless imediately. Dr. Tucci set my son’s broken hand after the poor kid had been walking around with it for days, misdiagnosed and run around by others. Also he explained very clearly the benefits and risks of what he was doing, and was very kind and pleasant to my son.

Dr. Tucci has some of the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced for a doctor who specializes in working with children. His examination of my child took, literally, under 30 seconds and he could not be kept in the room long enough to answer my questions. He left the room while I was still talking to him! The few times he would answer my questions, he was extremely patronizing. These observations are not based on a single visit but rather six visits. Also, he is usually about an hour late in seeing my child. On a plus side, his staff are very friendly.

My son broke both bones in his forearm on the monkey bars in the park SEVERELY, when I called the ambulance, they refused to take us anywhere but friggen Coney Island hospital. So the«doctors» there were unable to reduce the fractures, partially because they refused to give my 8 year old son a sedative– they said it would heal on its own. BS. They casted his arm up anyway, and had already set in my mind to find a second opinion. I called Dr. Tucci in tears after a follow up at CIH3 days later, worried sick. He made time for us imediately and in the end, my son ended up having surgery to realign the bones properly. He is a very thorough, professional and caring doctor. I sent him and his staff a big Edible Arrangement for all his effort.
