Horrible service. I had to get up from the table I was sitting at to get a menu and then had to order my drink and meal at the bar. A waitress never came. I will never go back.

first, it seems to me this place changed. in the span of a few months, i could have swear it moved from 6th to broadway. used to be a white front with«tribeca tavern» written in bold letters to the right of the doorway. anyway, the first word that can be used to describe the«new» tribeca tavern… RED. everything is RED. not sure if the owner’s goal is red-light therapy(google it, it’s a thing), but wow. walk past the nice little sidewalk patio with benches & a few table/chairs, past the atm machine(strange location), and the bar is on the south wall. decent sized bar with 12 or so square padded stools. wooden bar top with some nice details and a round foot rest. the bar back is, well, RED illuminated bottle shelves with some chalkboards above. a TV at the end. opposite and beyond the bar are lower eating tables(bench on wall side, chairs on bar side) and a pool table. good service and average bar food. overall a decent place to grab a beer and maybe some food depending on what you’re wanting(stick with traditional).

This is probably the worst bar in New York in terms of service. The bartender saw us get in and kept wiping the table before acknowledging us(roughly 5 minutes). Then he gave us our drinks in soapy glasses(the foam was visible and frothy). The bar was deserted and there was no reason for that kind of behavior(Sunday, May 29th10:40pm).

Went here after an exam this past Thursday. Both bartenders were DISGUSTINGLYRUDE! After overcharging and getting upset that I noticed they told me I was«fucking rude» and tried kicking me out. One of them was tall and the other was a short fat guy. Apparently they think that they will make tips by being jerks! They told me my friends weren’t even tipping well, so they didn’t give a shit! I’ve been here a couple times since I go to school a couple of blocks away, but I’ve never had such HORRIBLE service before. Makes me not want to go back there.

This place is pretty vile. It is dirty inside, although the lighting is so low you can hardly see who you’re sitting next to. The music is obnoxiously loud and terrible. Beer is cheap for the area, wine is poor. The food is mediocre and overpriced. Worst of all is the service — staff are aggressive and rude. I simply do not want to give this place business, even if I’m just looking for an inexpensive beer. The new place next door is much nicer. There is so much more choice in the area, I won’t be returning.

Tribeca dive bar with a pool table? We have ourselves the perfect after-work watering hole, my friends. Thanks to a dangerous combination of Sami Claus(«the world’s strongest beer») and an open company tab, most of my night was a blur but a fun one. I bombed two games of pool, hopefully didn’t hog the potato skins and some other food I can’t remember that was ordered for the table, and mistook my co-worker’s pint for my bottle.(One is not like the other but when you’re drunk…2+2=fish.) Sloppiness aside, this bar is great and low-key. Happy hour offers a number of beers, bottled and on tap, for $ 4 from 5 – 7. HH beers are your usual players but outside of that, they have a decent list of craft beers I’ve never heard of before, like my friend Sami Claus, Radiant Pig, and Not Your Father’s Root Beer. So… see you there at 6.

Try their famous Tavern nachos! I’ve tried pretty much everything on a menu. You can’t get a better deal for the price. They probably have the best happy hour prices in the area. Great selection of beer. Just grab a sit at the bar and enjoy!

I have been on several times. So far I have tried the wing, burgers and fries. The wings are very good, but I think their fries are some of the best I’ve ever had and fries are my weakness. On several occasions I have the pleasure of have Erin as my waitress, she has the best since of humor. If you want a fun place with a good beverage selection this is the place to go.

For couple of years it’s one of my(and now my husband’s too) favorite places to meet with friends and have some drinks-great food, service and atmosphere! Tribeca’s treasure –no doubt!

Came here after I ran the NYC half on a nice Sunday afternoon. Service was quick. Place was chill. Beer was delicious. Nice bartenders Erin and Nadya chatted me up in Russian. Loved it.

The waitress«Eirinn» was amazing and deserves to own her own bar and catch phrase. She was kind and talkative without being intrusive. I would highly recommend the bar for its atmosphere and staff.

Nothing fancy which is absolutely comforting – came here with a couple of coworkers for happy hour on a Friday(4pm-7pm). We each drank several beers, a few shots, couple of dishes – each paid under $ 25ish! If you’re looking for a very casual, relaxed bar with plenty of space to sit and hang, check this place out.

In a neighborhood dominated by expensive, crowded bars, this place is a divey-paradise. Cheap drinks, good food, no frills.

Kinda your. standard dive bar inside but for happy hour wow. $ 4 drinks, including stuff like tanqueray. Good luck finding that anywhere else. Oh yeah and it’s a nice strong pour.

Love just finding a good bar with great service and drinks. Walking pass it you would never know but it’s worth a stop for a beer and wings. It’s real layer back and great crowd that drinks here too. Bar 9⁄10. Atmosphere 10⁄10

I was very pleasantly surprised with this place! I need to first start off with the fact that it’s open until 4am — with very few places are open that late. Ambiance: It’s very dark and looks kind of divey, but it’s not painful or gross to be there. There is a pool table in the back(maybe other things as well but didnt get a chance to see). Food: They have a wide selection of burgers — I went with the Holy Guacamole(burger, bacon, guac) and it was pretty good! And it came with french fries, which were amazing. All the food came out pretty quickly The down side: I ordered a beer for the happy hour and it seemed a little watered down, so I was a bit disappointed in that. And when I went there at 6:40ish on a Tuesday night, there were no food servers — so we had to wait at the bar to order. I would definitely come back again to see the night crowd/service and give their beer another chance for redemption!

After hours spots in this neighborhood are few to come by. And this little gem is that, a pretty ok after hours spot in a sea of so few. With that said, if you’re ever in this area that late at night, I’d question your [in]sanity.

This is a regular happy hour spot for me and my co-workers. Funny thing is though, I’m not sure that they actually discount their drinks during happy hour, so you end up paying pretty much the same as you would any other time of day. The beer selection they have here is what I would call slightly above average, but what you have to be careful about is spending too much time looking at the chalkboard that has the beers listed as they are notorious for not keeping that up to date. In several occasions I made the mistake to order something off the board, only to find it had been long ago sold out and that they poured me something with a similar name instead. Food is typical lower end bar grub– deep fried, no doubt much of it from the freezer. My suggestion? Grab a beer with your co workers, then head over to one or the many other places around to get something to eat.
