This place was awesome! Service was spot-on and the timing of the food was perfect. I got the special pasta with bay scallops and my friends got chicken Marsala and another chicken dish with artichokes and everything was amazing. Waiter service was attentive and helpful. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for good Italian food in the Village.

This place was wonderful. Cheap for the area. We split a bottle of wine for about $ 8 for 3 people. They gave us complimentary bruschetta and all the bread you could ever bread. The wait staff was nice and attentive. It has a nice air of class Italian restaurant but not too fancy that you feel out of place. It has a very family friendly atmosphere. The waiters don’t hover, they are just attentive. A very pleasant experience.

Buckle up, this review is on the longer side and summarizes two visits to Trattoria Spaghetto. I went nearly a decade without entering Trattoria Spaghetto. I walked past it weekly and would shake my head on sight because I thought the name was silly; it reminded me of the«It’s Spaghett!» sketch from the Tim and Eric Awesome Show. In the end, I was the silly one. After two visits, Trattoria Spaghetto is my favorite Italian joint in the city. On first visit, my boyfriend and I came for an early dinner after a day of SoHo shopping. We started with the truffle burrata: delicate and creamy served with delicious toasted bread and a generous salad for two with roasted red peppers. If you’re dissatisfied with the table bread(I read many reviews that were), order this to compensate. We went the traditional route with our mains: chicken parm for him and eggplant parm for me. Both came with a side of pasta of our choosing and we both chose penne in meat sauce which was very good. I liked that the chicken parm cutlet wasn’t too thick. You can always spot an unauthentic Italian restaurant by an oversized chicken parm. I had a taste and loved that you could catch the hint of lemon on the cutlet. I usually don’t order eggplant parm because my 90-year-old grandmother makes the best in this world. I will NOT say that this eggplant stood a chance against granny’s, but the portion was bigger than my face and delicious none the less. I took half of it home and scarfed it as a second dinner before bed. REALLY. I am shamelessly admitting to this, it was that good. OK, so we knew we had found a gem and wanted to test for consistency. Our second visit was a Saturday around 9 p.m. We were quickly seated without reservation and our order was taken. We started on a reasonably priced bottle of chianti with our appetizer: calamari, which we didn’t see on the menu but was offered to us upon inquiry. The calamari was served steamed vs. fried in a beautiful tomato sauce. The pieces were a good consistency, not chewy and cooked to perfection. We discussed how we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, homey and comfortable yet run with the efficiency of a diner. Appropriate I suppose, as it started as a luncheonette way back when. The service is top notch. Super friendly and attentive, and I love that they offer fresh parm and cracked pepper — not all restaurants do that anymore! For mains we ordered off of the Specials menu this time. I had gnocchi with shitake mushrooms and four cheese sauce and boyfriend ordered lobster fra diavolo. The fra diavolo was apparently popular and the kitchen was out of the half-lobster typically served with it, so they offered to sub in lobster tails. The dish was huge and so good. I am a gnocchi connoisseur and this gnocchi landed in my top five: large, pillowy pieces in a rich and flavorful sauce. A cheese lovers dream. The gnocchi was so filling, we both took home half of our portions and skipped dessert. This was a long-winded way of telling you that Trattoria Spaghetto is the best, but when it comes to Italian food the devil is in the details. If you’re in the Village looking for an authentic Italian dinner, this is your spot.

A neighborhood Italian restaurant with an old fashioned twist. The food reminds me of an old Italian grandmothers cooking. The food is above average, but is on the pricey side. The décor isn’t anything special, but the wait staff is wonderful. It is child friendly as they do offer many dishes such as spaghetti and meatballs for them. Even as an adult, I would eat the spaghetti and meatballs. The bread is average, but the homemade sauce is delicious! The last time I was there, they only accepted cash so bring quite a bit! Hopefully they changed that!

We have all passed it on the corner– green exterior, red & white tablecloths, enticing our school Italian appetites. Ivy & I ventured inside for dinner after a movie at the Film Forum. Ate: Antipasti Eggplant.Parm with linguine I can’t say I ate the bread, cause one squeeze & a feel– yes a feel told me it wasn’t fresh. Big minus on the bread, I quote myself when I say every good Italian meal starts with good bread! Antipasti was tasty, albeit veggies were a bit over-cooked, but roasted eggplant, and mushrooms were tasty nonetheless I dug the eggplant Parm & tomato sauce as well as the linguine-fresh, old school flavor, but the bread thing– that is is unforgivable!

I have literally walked past this spot hundreds of times & never stopped in, but earlier this week I decided to do just that for a quick dinner. Prompt service, very kind owner who even walked me out of the restaurant thanking me for coming, and a very solid menu of Italian staples. I went for the Caesar salad & Penne Matriciana(a favorite of mine usually served with bucatini). I’m a penne fan though, so it worked out well. Overall, great/friendly place to come alone for a quick meal, or to bring some friends/family.

Stopped by after a very nice walk in Washington Square Park. I ordered a Panzetti con Pesto. Wow! The taste was amazing. Also had the sangria. Very nice. I would definitely return. The ambiance of the restaurant is delightful and quaint. The servers are attentive and on spot.

On a very hot summer day, and a very long walk, we stopped @ Spaghetto to enjoy a salad outdoors. We didn’t have too much time. We both ordered the Salad Special. Greens with mango & strawberries, added grilled chicken. It was perfect! The wait staff was so friendly and very accommodating! We will be back for dinner! Thanks Guys!

Somehow Trattoria Spaghetto just struck me as a tourist trap — bustling, huge, loud. Their food was good but not really anything to write home about. My friend had their shrimp scampi with a side of steamed broccoli. I opted for their linguini with clams in white sauce. Good flavor on the sauce and lots of chunks of clams on my plate, but the noodles were a little too tough/under cooked for my taste(not the gently al dente I prefer). With a bottle of wine(ice cold pinot grigio which is always a good choice) our bill came out to $ 35-$ 40 per person. On the pricey side for just an average meal if you ask me. I would prefer to try another Italian place next time.

Hands down my favorite Italian in the city — and the atmosphere can’t be beat.(Think«Bella Notte» from Lady and the Tramp and you’ll paint a pretty good picture.) Spaghetto is my go-to spot for dining with out of town guests or friends asking for a recommendation in the neighborhood. The staff is always quick with a warm welcome, and often an appetizer«on the house» as well. In cold or rainy weather, it’s a super cozy place to duck into. In the summer, the al fresco option is perfect for people watching on bustling Bleecker Street. The lasagna, chicken parm, and any variety of pasta with their meat sauce are all sure to please. Their dessert menu is great too, though the restaurant is conveniently placed for a post-meal sweet treat elsewhere, too.(Grom Gelato, Molly’s Cupcakes, and Popbar are all close by)

Personnel serviable et souriant, cuisine de bonne qualité et on a ce qu’il faut dans son assiette. On recommande
Had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant. Really first class. Service was amazing. The menu has many choices. Prices reasonable. This is a must visit for good Italian with indoor and outdoor seating
