Tower West Cleaners

I’ve been using Tower West cleaners for the past year and have only had very positive experience. Martin is always very charming and professional over the phone and always gets my laundry/​dry cleaning back to me in a timely way.

They ruined every piece of clothing I sent to them. They also did not fold my «wash and fold». Never go here

Had 8 shirts washed and pressed. Great service and one-​day turnaround time. Staff is extremely friendly. Tower West is a great bet in the Lincoln Square area.

They consistently promise clothes will be ready on a particular day and don’t bother to call if there is a delay — which there always is. Why do you have my phone number in your system if you’re not giong to use it? According to them, theyn don’t call customers individually. Well you don’t need my money then — PERIOD!
The hours posted are not accurate. Try showing up when they claim to be open and you’ll be waiting for at least 15 minutes past opening time.
They’ve also damaged our clothes — which we let slide, but no more business from us after a year of poor service, lackadaisical attitudes and no care for the customer experience at all.

I’m surprised I’m the first to review this place given how much business they do. They are located in the Tower 67 apartment house and get a ton of business from them and the surrounding high-​rise buildings. I live in Aire across the street from Tower and chose them simply because my doormen tend to recommend either Tower West or Excellent depending on who you ask. For the past 6 months I’ve used Tower for both dry cleaning and wash and fold. The wash and fold service is fine – nothing spectacular, the clothes don’t smell particularly fresh when I get them back, and the folding is fine. They are a bit rushed and careless but not too bad. As for dry cleaning, they also do a fine job but are quite expensive, like many other dry cleaners in the area. Ironically, there are 7 dry cleaners within 3 blocks of my building so you have a nice little competition going. Twice Tower West stapled our pick-​up ticket to the dry cleaning, causing holes in expensive clothing. They don’t offer to replace the clothing, rather they give you a $ 30 or $ 40 credit which is nice but is still pathetic that they rush so much that they damage clothing.
We recently switched to Excellent cleaners because we’ve had enough rushed and sub-​par service at high prices. Tower is OK but we’re going to try some of the others in the neighborhood and see if we can actually have a positive experience rather than a so-​so one. I hope this is helpful!
