Toosh, Inc sold me a pair of sandals which were either dirty from being tried on in the store or were actually used and returned. I noticed the grime on the underside of the soles when I was in the store and was assured it was from being tried on. I didn’t look at the sandals any further and bought them. Two days later when I opened the box and took out the shoes to wear them, I noticed that the inner soles of both were shockingly dirty, with toe and heel impressions. I called the store immediately and was told the owner was out of town. The owner returned to the store two days later. I then went to the store expecting to get an apology and a refund, but encountered instead an owner who was unpleasant and not at all embarrassed for selling a damaged product. After telling me I should not have bought shoes in this condition(duh! of course I wouldn’t have if I had noticed the damage) and then offered me a credit. I said I did not intend to buy shoes in his store again and wanted a refund. He refused and I took my dirty used sandals and left the store. I then filed a dispute with Amex and filed a complaint with NYC Consumer Affairs. There are so many great shoe stores in NYC, there is no reason to buy anything from a business which does not value your patronage.

Honestly, the only reason they’re even getting a second star from me is because the salesman was really nice and helpful(5 stars for the guy), helping me find the right size and validating my concerns about the shoes, and also because the shoes themselves are cute and for the most part feel high quality(4 stars for the shoes). That said, if not for the nice man and the cute shoes, this would have been a one star rating. I found an adorable pair of shoes that were ultra comfortable that I was planning on using at work. I was walking around, looking in the mirror, when some guy walks up to the counter(I assume the owner), and literally the exact moment that I flip my phone camera up to take a close up of the shoes on my foot to ask my friend for her opinion, the guy jumps down my throat saying loudly, «ma’am, no pictures are allowed in the store!!»(Seriously, felt like he was just waiting for the opportunity to say that.) Fine, I get it, but do you have to embarrass me in front of your entire store like that? Shit, I’m about to drop $ 100+. Treat me like a human being. Just as I had decided to purchase the pair of shoes for $ 129, I take a moment to browse around and see if I wanted anything else. The same *owner* comes out from the back, again, and«takes a phone call» from a person who apparently wants the exact same pair of shoes in the same size and color. Of course, the pair I had just decided to purchase was the last in that size. The owner looks up from his desk and asks the salesman if I’m going to buy the shoes, the salesman looks at me and asks if I’m pretty decided on them, and when I say«yeah, I’m probably going to take these», the douche bag behind the counter looks at me and goes, «Are you sure? I have someone on the phone who really wants them.» I was so floored, as a paying customer, in your store, looking at spending at minimum $ 200, are you really going to be that much of an ass? My response was, «Well if they want them that badly, then sell it to them. I don’t have to give you my money.» The salesman jumps in at this point and also tells the guy to back off. I bought the shoes, but man, learn how to not be an asshole, maybe. I could order the same shoes from the Internet, if I really wanted to. Keep your sketchy sales tactics to yourself.

The staff at Toosh have been really great, in that they allowed me to return shoes(for store credit) well after the regular time frame. The store isn’t that big but they have a pretty good selection.

I love this place and go here for all my work shoes and casual shoes. The owner has curated a really good selection and the customer service is excellent. I have gotten compliments on everything I have bought here. I would highly recommend Toosh for men’s and women’s.

What a fabulous selection of shoes for all seasons, and with equally affordable prices. Can’t wait to head back to Toosh next week!

I bought a pair of cute glittery shoes from here, $ 19.95 what can you ask for, it’s cheap and for one event I’m going to. They have a small selection of shoes ranging from flip flops, boots, uggs, sandals, mostly woman shoes. They have a small section of flats and heels for $ 19.95 and another boot section for $ 48.88. The shoes on the outside looks cute but don’t let that fool you into buying(that’s what I did). Quality is not good, I tried the shoe on and it sort of scratch your feet, shouldn’t good quality feel better? And the salesman/owner says you have to break into it, its new shoe. You can’t really form a conversation, even I asked my friend for her opinion, before she has the chance to answer, the salesman answered for me. There was not one salesman, but two! And they were hovering over us like an animal watching their prey. They don’t give customers space. But if you don’t mind that, kudos to you. I would never come back, some of the sandals look worn and old, they made me so uncomfortable. The minute I said I’ll take this shoe, the salesman/owner just take it from my hand and brought it to the counter. Maybe I wanted to check out other selections, why you grab it from my hand so fast? Yes you will get my business, overall too fishy, don’t like it. Don’t recommend UNLESS, I would suggest buying $ 20 shoes, don’t bother spending more than that. You won’t get the quality or durability you pay for. The receipt says 14-day refund, I doubt there is any refund once you leave the store. Because they are not like macys or dsw or Steve Madden, they have return policy. I don’t think Toosh is legit.

The shopping experience was good but this place is ripe off. It is so difficult to ask for refund. You can find better price and easy return policy at somewhere else. It’s my first time buying shoe here but I will not come back again.
