I met up with a friend here for drinks after work on a Friday. We arrived around 6:30, so it wasn’t crowded, and we got a table easily. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the cocktail menu since they had no gin drinks at all, so I ordered off-menu and got a gimlet. My friend just got a beer. Considering the fact that hardly any people were there and only one of us ordered a mixed drink, it took forever for the drinks to arrive – easily 10 – 15 minutes. It wasn’t a huge deal since we were chatting, but still. On the plus side, the gimlet was superb, so I was happy about that, and we ended up staying for several rounds. We also got the pretzel bites and potato fingers with sweet chili sauce, which were great and really hit the spot as the night went on. The ambiance was cozy and pleasant at first and it seemed like a great place to have a conversation, but as it got later, they kept making the music louder and louder(terrible music, I might add) to the point that I was basically lip reading through half of our discussion, despite the fact that my friend and I were sitting about 6 inches apart. There is absolutely no reason to play music at a deafening volume in a place like this. It’s small and gets loud enough from people just talking. The only reason we stayed was because we knew it would be hard to get seats somewhere else once it got late. In summary, the drinks and food are worthy of a return visit; however, the music and long wait times for drinks are not an incentive to come back.

Cozy little spot in a part of Soho that often feels like there is nowhere to go at night. It is related to Public next door and meets the expectations. The bartenders and waiters are all friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate you. We were able to score a corner banquette and have an actual conversation, which is much harder to do than it sounds in most places.

I’ve been to this place 5 or so times, and each time the service has gotten worse and worse. The last time I took my coworkers and was truly embarrassed that I recommended Public/Daily to them. Staff is snobby and unhelpful from the host stand to the waiters to the bartenders, and have no problem providing terrible service with attitude. Do yourself a favor and keep walking down Elizabeth Street to Musket Room… much better food and restaurant experience.

Best.cocktails.ever. And delicious snacks. And great people. One of the most laid back and fun bars in the area. Try the old fashioned, or just go for one of the daily cocktails, you can’t go wrong. The Daily employees are my favorite.

Fairly decent cocktails overplayed. Décor and execution left wanting. Case in point: shaken cocktails. Bartender is highly aggressive with shaking the mixture, breaking down the ice and watering down the drink. Or use of large whiskey ice cubes used in glasses of the wrong size for mixed cocktails makes for precious little to drink. It wants to be good, and you want it to be, but it falls on execution.

Cocktail menu changes daily but you are not limited to it. Ask the bartenders what kind of spirit you like and they will craft you a wonderful delicious drink! Bartenders are very friendly and eager to serve your taste. I personally love The Daily. The atmosphere is very laid back. You can have a good time with a date or a group of friends. Its definitely an experience.

This place is neat! The décor is nice– chill laid back and a little fancy. There are nice couches to sit on. I think this would be a good couples place on a non busy night. There is candlelight. Bathroom is real nice. The bar– great selection of bottles, so many bitters as well. The music– surprisingly hip hop. I heard some wu tang clan. I had 3 drinks on a monday night, which caused me to buy cookies later and eat too many. I had the corpse reviver, mai tai, and old cuban. The bartender«Hong or Hang?» who made them put on a good show. He wore a bow tie too and an apron, which I thought was cool. Service was good. Standard procedure here. Water glass got low, it was refreshed. I was checked up on a couple of times. I asked what kind of rum he used in the old cuban. He showed me the bottle. etc. Oh yeah, they also have a big ice block. That’s just awesome too.

Nice atmosphere, small, cozy, dark and romantic but very small, and drinks are just ok. Definitely not strong enough for me.

Went for after dinner cocktails. Place is ok, def not one of my favorites. Drinks were lackluster and simple. Looking for something more complex than what the menu offered I asked for the«bartenders choice». What I got was even more simple, vodka with club soda and lime juice… Are you kidding me? They garnished with a cucumber slice but that’s hardly worth the price they are charging. One bathroom for the whole place. Service was hit or miss. Nice place to sit and catch up with friends but would not recommend.

Great bartenders & great cocktails. My friends and I were looking for a spot in this area to grab a couple of drinks before dinner. I hadn’t been here before, so we figured we would give it a shot. The place itself is located right next to Public and under the same management. The space is somewhat small — really my only negative about it — and has some lounge-like couches along the walls with short stools for larger groups and only a handful of stools at the bar. We were eventually going to be a party of 3, but one of my friends was coming a bit later so we started(and ended up) just sitting at the bar. We had a wait a few minutes for seats to open up, but once they did, the bartender was friendly and helpful. I started with one of their cocktails of the day(they change this daily… thus the bar name) called the pomegranate collins. It was made with Bols Genever(this was a first for me — I learned it was the precursor to gin), grenadine, lemon, soda and pomegranate seeds. Very refreshing and light. My friend had a different«Daily» drink called the Prince Edward. It was made with scotch, lilet blanc, drambuie and bitters. She said it was really tasty, very citrus-y. Since I drank my collins rather rapidly(the bar felt about 90 degrees inside) I wanted to see what the bartenders had up their sleeves — they have plenty of tinctures and special ingredients lining their service area… so it was time for them to play. For my second drink(which my friend subsequently had 2 of) I requested simply a gin base with some spice. The bartender made me a phenomenal drink — served on ice in a rocks glass of gin, cucumber, chili tincture, simple syrup and lime juice. It was out of this world. I would go back just to try to have her recreate this. A must have for anyone who can handle the heat. At this point our other friend arrived and the place was still pretty packed(there was also a wedding party — or what we assume must have been one considering the dress and cake feeding and general celebratory nature at the entrance area of the bar — rather random) so I gave up my seat and stood between my friends. This ended up being less than ideal because of the slightly cramped nature of the space — with the servers having to move me as they needed to get by with trays of drinks(or apps — they have a small bites menu) or as other patrons attempted to get by me to the lone bathroom at the back. I decided to have a third drink — why not? — and again let the bartender do as she would knowing what I liked about the previous ones. This last drink was very spirit forward — actually it seemed spirit-ful or only made of hard liquor — it was a bit rough. It had gin and vodka and some kind of citrus but I couldn’t really taste the heat in it — the booze was quite strong. That said, if you like a boozy drink, this could be just the thing. I tend to be a bit tamer in that department so it was a tad much — but I respected the crafting and flavor. All in all, a good cocktail bar. Definitely go if you want to have something creative made for you — and if you can — sit at the bar to watch them chip their large ice block. It’s not everyday you get to see that in action!

Great cocktails. Terrific bartenders. Friendly staff. Chill ambiance. We were here not too long ago for a friend’s private party and I can not say enough about the terrific staff and great bartenders. The Daily is a small intimate spot with a touch of class, and a feeling of old school mixology right next to eatery Public. It’s a cozy spot with comfortable leather bench seating, mirrored walls, and dimly lit. Love the ambiance here and it’s a perfect spot to take a date for a tasty cocktail over smooth conversation. Either a pre or post dinner drink when hitting up Public next door is a good move. I also liked the eclectic menu of drinks and food listed on the back wall in removable letters on a blackboard that changes daily. Get it? Daily? Appropriate naming. It reminds me of an open air speakeasy that is not quite so hidden away.

The Daily just f**king sucks … That’s all you need to know. They are pretentious and boring(despite the promising name fir a cocktail bar). Pffft… Skip!

I’m really very close to loving this place. The ambiance is great. The vibe is nice. And most of the drinks are quite good. But the idea that you can charge $ 14 for an Old Fashioned made with Evan Williams is f*ucking lunacy. It’s actually borderline offensive that they think so little of their customers that they assume we know so little about bourbon that they can pull a move like that off. If they can fix this, I’ll be back.

The Daily is a cute little spot. which the drinks change«DAILY». I think that’s what I heard. It’s on my bucket list to have a date with my favorite Erin M. hehe. We came here with another Elite Steph Q and Erin’s friend Natalie after our pre-fix dinner at Public… After 5 course menu and 5 course wine pairing. I don’t think I remember what’s the name of the cocktail I ordered. It was delicious. but I was way too full to finish the whole cocktail. It includes in the deal we bought on Gilt City. So we just came in for more drinks. It was champaign with some ginger and some other«MIXER». I haven’t enjoy the full experience yet so I am just gonna give a «OK» experience. I am sure I will love it more after I heard that they change their menu daily. There was not many drinks option on their menu.

I’ve had The Daily on high my bucket list of bars/lounges for quite some time now. Luckily for me, my girl Shing O. who is always looking out for me, scoped out this great deal on Gilt City and we had another one of our fabulous girls nights out. Joining us in this night of debauchery were none other than Nat and Steph Q. The Daily is a small and quiet bar next to Public, which is by far one of my favorite restaurants. Once I walked in, I just knew I was going to love it here. The space is beautifully dimly lit, giving a warm and intimate glow, I loved the bookshelves and mirrors, making this place look like a perfectly cozy hideaway to get your drink on. While I couldn’t fully appreciate my drink at The Daily because our deal had a wine pairing with our prefix meal at Public AND a round of drinks at The Daily. You know, after like 6 drinks later, I think I have to come back another night to only try their specialty drinks and be able to enjoy it to the full extent haha. Anyway, the menu changes… daily!!- so I think this should be interesting! My favorite part by far is how intimate this place is, perfect for small get togethers or a casual/laid back date. I also want to try some of the food specials.

A round of drinks was included in my Gilt City deal, so I may be a bit biased since I didn’t have to pay for drinks. While both cocktails we ordered were very good, I’m not sure they are quite worth the price. I’m still a fan though, since this isn’t the type of place for you to get sloshed anyway! Ambience: casual, but not frat boy casual. I like it. We sat at the bar. The entire bar counter is lined with bottles of various bitters, and only a few of them were repeats. I was impressed. And Nacho, our bartender, was a pleasure to watch at work! He was friendly and chatted us up, all without missing a beat while making drinks for other patrons. The menu changes daily(hence the name), so I’d go back to try something new, if I were ever in the neighborhood. P. S. — I can’t comment on the food at The Daily, but the food next door at Public is amazing.

Came here for drinks and some food. We sat at the bar. There is a cool container to get water from. Its almost like a fountain. We moved to a table to have food and I had a chicken sandwich which was ok… Advice: Come here for the drinks. Go next door for dinner.

I came here for a Unilocal Elite event so my rating may be slightly biased. Décor: 4.5÷5 –a laid back and slightly classy feel to the bar –a bit smaller than I expected but that makes it more intimat Service: 5⁄5 –very attentive service, was asked multiple times if I wanted another drink Drinks/Food: 4⁄5 –The chips were salty yet addictive –Love that they offer FeverTree Ginger Beer here. Win!

Tiny little spot for hand crafted cocktails. Don’t see something you like on the menu? Just tell them what you are in the mood for and they will whip something up that you are sure to love. It’s called the daily because the cocktails change… You guessed it, daily! Seating can be a little challenging but we lucked out and people left right when we walked in. They made me a drink with egg white, gin, honey and lemon. Hard not to drink quickly if you know what I mean! A great spot for any cocktail enthusiast.
