This is the place to get fabric with cheap price. Although its not really organized, but the staffs are helpful and nice!

I’m always on the hunt for a good fabric store and this one has become another one of my favorites. The staff is friendly and helpful, not pushy and lascivious as in other fabric shops. A wide variety of fabrics that might look disorganized at first. Decent prices IMHO. $ 25/yd for fun fur at 65″ wide? I’m in!

Could win Most Disorganized, and when I asked for help, the man had no idea what the fabric was– cotton or a blend? Nylon or elastin? He couldn’t tell me. The disorganization ended up paying off for me, though, when I bought a yard of the mystery fabric,(he had trouble deciding if it was $ 2 or $ 4, finally settled on 2), and I didn’t have a small enough bill. He refused to give me change, so I emptied the change from my wallet, and cam up with less than a dollar. He let me have the fabric. Yay. So, my recommendation is, if you want to hunt, and don’t care what you’re getting, go for it.

During the hunt for fabric with which to make Halloween costumes for myself and a friend, I spent a lot of time in and around the garment district. I found many of the fabric stores to be a little bit creepy. Sometimes there was a person following me around and not letting me browse. Other times, I needed help and no one was available to assist. Other times I got hit on by the men that cut the fabric. Other places were so crowded with bolts of fabric that I could barely see what was available. Why was this such a seedy scene? Finally, I happened upon Textile Kingdom, Corp. What a breath of fresh air! The staff was friendly but not pushy. They asked me if I needed help, then left me alone to browse. I asked a question and received a pleasant and helpful response! This place has two floors, and the downstairs is the real gem; aside from the abundant selection of fabrics, there are also bins of interesting buttons, boxes of loose zippers, and other items you may need! Thank you, Textile Kingdom, Corp.
