Probably the best deal for unlimited mussels and fries. $ 19.50. Also Sangrias! almost too much food the last time between me and 3 friends… but definitely worth every penny. Don’t bother ordering truffle fries because the regular fries that come with your unlimited mussels will do just fine. I’d recommend almost every flavor of Mussels. You might as well if your going for the deal. But if I had to choose it would probably be between the Aux Fromages and Mariniere.

This cozy spot is definitely in my regular ‘Christ-I’m-lazy’ /‘must-rein-in-my-spending’ dining rotation. 2fers everyday until 8pm? Sweet. Turns out I’m thirsty everyday. Unlimited mussels? And fries? Shut it! Music has always been Shazam provoking. Huge plus! Service is on point — every time. Please thank your HR department! See you again soon!

I never write reviews but really felt I had to express my displeasure of my dining experience last night. Our group of 3 went there for the unlimited mussels. 1. Waitress might have been new — so she was super slow, couldn’t understand our order, … if you have trouble remembering can you just write it down instead asking me multiple times and then STILL getting it wrong. Had trouble getting anyone’s attention. Had to ask for water at least 3 times before it was refilled. 2. Service was sooooooo slow! Each order took 30 minutes to arrive. We even tried to order the next refill before we were finished with our current portion but still super long wait. Maybe this is their strategy to get you eating less… not ok… 3. Mussels themselves… — was not cleaned properly, they were still sandy — 1st batch was over cooked and rubbery — subsequent batches were undercooked, had multiple mussels that wouldn’t even open… would have complained to the waitress if we could get her attention 4. Frites weren’t crispy they tasted stale

A solid go-to place in the East Village! I’ve been bringing friends here for years and the 2−4−1 Happy Hour cannot be beat! It’s a small staff with a very close knit, community vibe — that said, if it’s packed, things can get a little backed up. The food totally makes up for the wait, however(as do the strong drinks!) Vibe will give you something between a Sidewalk bistro in Paris and corner hang out for the locals. The overhead Edison bulbs cast a warm glow and antique tin signs in French make you forget, for almost a second, you’re in a bustling city. The only thing that would make this place even more serene would be outdoor seating(prob impossible because of the small sidewalk. Sit near the windows when they’re open, you’ll not only have the breeze but a frontline view of the historic Tompkins Square Park. Must try: Unlimited Mussels, 2−4−1 Happy Hour(on any drink), Red Couscous Salad, TRUFFLEFRIES(x2) I’m a pretty strict Pescatarian and this place delivers. Positive points for the happy hour and vibe, negative for the sometimes slow turnaround(long waits if you’re late to the paarty) 4 Stars

My friends and I decided on this spot, because of the buy one cocktail and get the second one half off. Unilocal also has a 50% off wine bottles 5pm-2am Sun and Mon, if you check-in BTW. I was here over the 4th of July weekend –yes, my review is a little late(I am a busy woman). I am a bit disappointed with this place primarily because of the service. Our first waitress seemed unknowledgeable about the menu and when she switched out because she was off or on a break or something –the second waitress had a little bit of attitude. I’m not sorry –if it is your job to get ketchup, get our extra drink orders and make those types of little accommodations during our dining experience. We had a party of 4 girls-so our table was a bit busy, but shouldn’t be a problem –if you’re a waitress. I got the frittata courchevel –no bacon/meat. Was nothing to rave about, pretty mediocre. Adult drinks are small-but was tasty and with so many cute places in NYC, I wouldn’t be back here again, if I lived here.

Always walk by and see the sign for unlimited mussels and $ 1 oysters. Unfortunately, I wish I had kept walking by last night. All of the seafood items tasted yucky and far from fresh. Stick to the cocktail happy hour when going to Ten Degrees.

Somehow the buy 2 get 1 free drink specialist have driven the frat crowd from Murray Hill to dine and rate this place, yes I am judging. I have had plenty of drinks at the bar aroun the corner of Ten Degrees because it’s always a fun crowd, and the drink specials are a good pregaming spot before enjoying the nightlife in the hood however the brunch here is a royal disappointment. Service: 2⁄5. Our bartender was nice but not attentive or a real pro. She forgot to check in periodically and forgot our OJs. This is not trivial or I am complaining, I am rating in comparison to a pro. Food: Had the egg soff which was a creative dish but not stellar by any stretch. The tortillas were done right but there was some room for improvement on the egg. Drinks: I had the mint julep which was not drinkable, again the quality here is terrible. Vibe: This place has no vibe whatsoever. It’s just one of those Radom bars that sits between fratty crowd and couple of folks who just happen to walk in. The hostess/management presence is totally lacking. I won’t be coming back for brunch here again. There are too many good places to have a great brunch at.

The best dirty martini in the east village– $ 10 for 2 @ happy hour. All the waitresses are lovely. The service is always wonderful and the drinks are always on point. The all you can eat mussels are a great option. The salmon entrée is my favorite. I am here at least once a week.

I don’t normally write good reviews but this place definitely deserves it!!! I’m a big fan of mussels and this place certainly DIDNOT disappoint. I actually came in not expecting too much. I ordered the all you can eat mussels with fries and oh boy I was shocked by the size of these mussels… they were HUGE and fresh! The fries that came with the mussels were just as tasty! The portion was so big that I couldn’t finish one order nonetheless ask for a refill. Definitely worth the money and I will definitely come back again! The only thing that really bothered me was that there was no AC. I came in on a semi-hot day and I was semi-sweating while I was eating so it was a bit uncomfortable. I suggest that AC be open during very warm weathers. Other than that, I loved this place!

I am the hugest fan of Ten Degrees. You’ll easily confuse it with the bar right around the corner on St. Mark’s, but you won’t find any place like this quaint restaurant overlooking Thompson Square Park. I went on late afternoon on a Friday, right after they opened, and it was a beautiful night so we took the couches right by the sidewalk. Their famous buy-one-get-one deal is both incredible and deadly, and the service is unbelievable. We were only two people taking over the huge couch(we were meeting friends there in a bit), and they didn’t once bother us for taking up such a large space. The ambiance is rustic-chic, with wooden chairs and tables, wine bottles lining the shelves on the wall, and a dim-lit feel once the sun goes down. We started with the red wine sangria and then moved into the rose, and it was very well-done. They were generous with the portions, and the fruit was fresh and didn’t take up too much space. When the rest of my friends joined us, we thought we’d try the unlimited mussels deal, and we were NOT disappointed. Basically, you get unlimited mussels AND fries AND bread for $ 25 per person, and they were nice enough to keep refilling ours three times while only charging us for one. The amazing service honestly made the hugest difference, and that alone makes me want to go back. The bill didn’t break the bank and it was a great meeting spot for friends in the lower east side. I will 100% be returning.

My new favorite place in the city. Their cheese plate is fantastic and their 2-for-1 drink deal before 8 can’t be beat. It’s a low-lit atmosphere and even though it’s popular, there’s usually space to sit and eat whenever you get there. It’s got a great brunch deal but I like to go later and walk past all the quirky St. Marks establishments on my way. The cheese plate gives you choices of several fancy cheeses for a reasonable price. It’s quite big too. If I split with one person, I’m always full. My only complaint is that the service can be kind of sporadic. They’re always forgetting to bring water and it takes them a while to come back, but that doesn’t really change the experience of being there.

You MUSS try the MUSSEL& Fries deal — all you can eat w/fries & unlim refills. Happy hour 2 for 1 until 8pm is also pretty great. I tried 3 of 4 flavors but only had room for 2 full bowls — I remember the provencale tomato base being my favorite. Plenty of seating for dinner on a random weekday before 8pm, friendly service, accepts credit, bike parking outside.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a new brunch place around the area(after seeing how long the wait was at Cornerstone) and decided to check out Ten Degrees Bistro, thanks to Unilocal! The restaurant was not at all crowded and we were seated right away at a table with a great view of the Tompkins Square Park. Each entrée comes with a choice of beverage(coffee, OJ, or soft drink). The menu ranges from savory items(eggs Benedict, omelette, avocado toast, etc.) to sweet treats(pancakes, waffles, French toast, etc.). We were both craving something sweet, so I went for the waffles while my boyfriend got the pancake. The Homemade Belgian Waffles($ 10) comes with a choice of two toppings, such as maple syrup, whipped cream, ice cream, Nutella, or jam. I chose the raspberry syrup with fresh strawberries and two scoops of vanilla ice cream. The waffle was cut in to easy-to-eat pieces(four slices). The raspberry syrup was poured generously over the waffles with mint leaves. The two scoops of ice cream were on the smaller side. I thought the waffles could have been warmer, but I like the crunchy exterior and the moist interior. I would recommend NOT getting the maple syrup as your topping because they give it to you for free if you just ask ;) We added fresh blueberries for the Buttermilk Pancakes for an additional $ 1($ 11). The portion was pretty small(three child hand-sized stacks). It also came with mint leaves and powder sugar. The pancakes were fluffy! The price is a bargain considering you get a drink with the entrée. I would go again!

The menu and pricing was great: $ 1 oysters, unlimited mussels with 4 different types of sauces and fries for just $ 19, gigantic burgers for $ 12 – 15, two cocktails for the price of one. However, the quality of the food was not so great. I ended up with food poisoning from the oysters. My significant other mentioned that they smelled fishy to begin with. Food poisoning can be quite detrimental to some people with other health ailments so I hope they follow the guidelines for proper storage and preparation. The mussels were okay, i loved how we were able to try out the different sauces with each new pot though. Fries were kind of soggy. Didn’t get a chance to try the burgers but my friends enjoyed them. An extra star for good pricing and unlimited mussels, UNLIMITED! Where else can you get that?!

There are no RULES in this place! None at all! It’s basically the deal of the century every day in here. Lemme break it down. Our reservations were for 7. On the menu it says you can have two cocktails for the price of one. And not just like a cocktail off their special silly cocktail list but anything. Like I had a dirty Hendricks martini. I figured that both had to be the same and both ordered by 8 o’clock when happy hour ends… which is totally normal and totally understandable. But no. We go to order the cocktails early and she’s all like«oh don’t worry about it. Just any time you like.» Blank stares. «So does it have to be the same cocktail?» «Nope. Anything you like.» That’s not all. You can get wine two for ones too! BOTTLES. This place is like the marshalls of the restaurant world. Except way better quality. Way. Last thing. They have amazing mussels. So, so, so delicious. They throw bread in the bottom of the bowl under the broth and I’m pretty sure that bread could like bring someone out of a coma with how delicious it is. The fries were great too! And then it was like, oh those mussels were so good but they’re all gone oh no what am I to do?! Well I guess it’s normal to not expect more food when you’ve finished your dinner. Wait. Did you say unlimited mussels?! You DID!!! Well that’s ok. I already had the mussels marienerie. If anything if like to try the aux fromage but I guess I can’t. Wait. I CAN!!! GETOUTOFHERE. STOP. LEAVE. NOW. Everything was so wonderful. The food, service, atmosphere, menu, everything. It’s hidden too. On a Saturday night it wasn’t very busy at all. I would love to come back to New York for another round at ten degrees. Excellent job!

I’d rate this a 3.5 if I could. Partially the half star knocked off b/c I didn’t get home fries but regular fries. The server told me that what I got were home fries… and they were french fries. I mean, they shouldn’t put it on the menu if they are the same thing. Even the waitress made a note for home fries instead of regular fries, like seriously? Aside from that annoying aspect, the place was pretty good. I got the eggs Benedict. Portion size was pretty big — but it was brunch so you’re paying for that portion. It was pretty crowded around 12:30pm on a Sunday. Luckily we got there earlier so got a table pretty quickly. They have high tables for 4 people, but it’s still tight spacing. The venue was pretty big compared to most brunch places and I like the atmostphere of it a lot. Overall, good meal.

This spot is nearly identical to the regular Ten Degrees around the corner, except it is more spread out, there are more food options, and its way less crowded. Um, those are all perks for me. I like regular Ten Degrees but sometimes happy hour there gets so chaotic that I can’t handle myself. Especially after 2 for 1s on wine/or sangria. We held down a reservation though for 4 on Cinco De Mayo. Wasn’t even necessary because it wasn’t packed but it also was a Monday. But lemme tell you, Monday drinking here is a FANTASTIC idea. In addition to their normal 2 for 1s until 8pm on everything they also have 50% off on bottles of wine! For the entire night! Not just during happy hour. Inserts jazz hands. Note though, this is only a deal via Unilocal. For happy hour we split a variety of Sangrias over the several hours we were there: all three were sampled, being Red, Rose, and White. Shockingly, the white was the strongest. The Rose was probably my favorite and the red was the frutiest, which is the total opposite I normally discover. We also had a bottle of Cerasulo Rose Montepulciano which was rather pleasant. With all of this booze we also partook in their $ 1 oyster happy hour. Some of them were okay. Little Neck Clams and Blue Point Oysters. I always feel like I can’t have too many oysters or my stomach feels like hell the next day. But if you are with a large group, getting like 3 a person isn’t a biggie. Also, I’m pretty sure our phenomenal waitress Sasha ended up giving us like a half dozen extra for free. She was fantastic. There is also an «All you can Eat Mussels/Frites» Special for $ 19.50 per person. No one seemed particularly disturbed that we were all sampling our one friend that ordered this’ meal. I had to try at least one mussel of every variety. So here we go: Provençale: Tomato, Garlic & Parsley Aux Fromages: White wine, Roquefort & Brie(My personal favorite, because how can you not like an after taste of cheese/wine) Pastis: Ricard Pastis, White Wine, Shallots & Garlic(My second favorite, Pastis is just a very delicate anise flavor. You mostly taste the garlic and broth) Mariniere: White Wine, Butter, Shallots & Garlic When in doubt, go with the Fromages. The frites are better than average. Couldn’t have enough of those. They also have a variety of aioli, one of which has notes of Bourbon in it and the other truffle oil. Do it. My friends were also assholes and decided to celebrate my «fake birthday» with a surprise crème brulee when I ran to the bathroom. This idea is getting old. It was alright tasting. I’m not the biggest fan of crème brulee or flan or anything that wiggles on its own, little do they know. But it was done pretty well. Again, wonderful time here for Cinco De Mayo and the staff went above and beyond with accommodating our requests and inebriation.

Last week I made a reservation here with their owner Mokti to secure a table for four ladies(3 friends and myself) at 6pm. We wanted to catch up and have Cinco de Mayo hangs without being in a crowded, sweaty bar surrounded by amateurs who can’t hold their tequila and think Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that commemorates Mexico’s independence, lol. We honored this reservation and were seated and attended to by Sasha(who by the way, is one of the BEST waitresses I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with — she was friendly, efficient and really instrumental to us having a great time during our first visit here — we’re normally huge fans of Ten Degrees’ other location on St. Mark’s :D). With their happy hour being identical to le other location(whooooooo, 2 for 1 on all boozage until 8pm, including their delicious sangria pitchers) we were all totally in our respective happy places! We consumed 2 reds, 1 white and 1 rose — it was a Monday-night sangria-thon for the ages! We were also excited that we happened to stumble upon a Unilocal check-in deal for 50% bottles of wine on Monday nights… and it just happened to be Monday night! Lol, who0t! We opted for a Rosé wine(of which they had several quality options) and went with the«Cerasuolo» from Montepulciano: Vallevo, Abruzzo, Italy. On their menu it is described as being a, «Good solid deep pink color; aroma and flavor of strawberry, with some herbal notes; lively and fresh on the palate but flavorful enough to stand up to all sorts of food». I would say that their description is spot on, this rosé was deflippinglicious! Because we’re not completely lushes and you can’t go on a sangria/wine binge without any sort of food(wellllllll, I suppose you can — but that’s just going to result in your Tuesday morning being THAT much worse), we also engaged in their FANFREAKINTASTIC«All You Can Eat Mussels & Fries» deal(only $ 19.50 per person, Monday through Sunday from 5pm until 2am closing!) and I got to sample all of their AMAZING varieties: + Provençale: Tomato, Garlic & Parsley Aux + Fromages: White wine, Roquefort & Brie + Pastis: Ricard Pastis, White Wine, Shallots & Garlic + Mariniere: White Wine, Butter, Shallots & Garlic My personal preference as to my favorites were Fromages, Pastis, Mariniere and Provençale — but I also can’t say that I have a «least favorite» because they AREALLAMAZINGANDYOUSHOULDEATTHEMALL. ALL. The herb seasoned french fries were also cooked perfectly crispy, not greasy and all around delicious without leaving me feeling like a fat cow that needs to be put out to pasture :). We also ordered some Little Neck Clams and Blue Point Oysters — they were fresh, delicious, served nicely chilled on a bed of crushed ice with lemons, red wine vinegar and other sauces that I can’t identify but all complimented the clams and oysters perfectly… To cap our night we all shared a plate of their Crème Brulee and as expected, it was also deliciously sweet, decadent and all sorts of yumminess! Right now I am experiencing some credit card woes as my group all paid in cash and I asked for my part to be put on my credit card but upon checking my weekly bank statement messages I realized that they put a whole lot more on my card(about $ 118 more to be exact). I assume this was a simple mistake and am currently working with their owner/manager to figure out where the disconnect was… right now I have to rate this place with 5 stars(I would totally give them more stars if I could!) — but hopefully I’m able to clear this up with them sooner rather than later… I’ll be sure to provide an update soon on this front. — UPDATE5÷12÷14: THISENDEDUPBEINGMYBANKBEINGSILLY and having made an error in their message. Ten Degrees charged me for the correct amount, made no mistakes and their owner, Moti, was an absolutely professional in working with, me both via phone and email, to make sure he assisted me in getting down the root of the problem. Fantastic customer service provided all around folks! :-D The ambiance here really does remind me of the fantastic, intimate bistros I’ve been to when I vacationed in Paris for awhile and it’s definitely conducive to being a perfect date, girls night out or platonic one-on-one kind of place. I definitely plan on coming back here again many many times! ^_^

Pretty spacious place. I went on a little brunch marathon and decided to go brunch hunting for the weekend. This was my 2nd brunch place during this weeks brunch madness and I must say it was my favorite out of the 3 places I tried. Egg Hemingway — OMG what can I say. Heaven in my mouth. I loved that it came with a salad and the poached eggs where perfectly poached. Don’t get me started on the fries! They were fried exactly how I like them, perfectly salted with a crispy crunch during each bite. The sauce wasn’t too over powering and a great topper. Belgian waffle — ice cream gave it a great touch, although it was 20 degrees outside, couldn’t give up the urge. The raspberry jam was amazing with the strawberries neatly placed on tope of the 3 waffles that were squared(which was unexpected). The waffles itself were crisp with a soft inside, just how I like it. Overall: One of my favorite brunch spots in NYC!
