The pumpernickel bagel with eggs was good, but the oatmeal was raw, so I couldn’t eat.

BLUF: A great place to grab a quick breakfast on the way to work or school. I had the cheese omelet breakfast combo which was a filling meal for $ 6. The cheese omelet meal consisted of a two egg cheese omelet, hashbrowns, and two slices of toast. The omelet was nothing special as it was an over hard with strings of cheese tossed on top. The hashbrowns were nothing exceptional, something that comes frozen in the breakfast aisle in your local grocery store and the slices of toast were standard. The plus comes from the fast service and the clean setting. Ultimately a great place to stop for a quick meal but nothing of high quality.

Breakfast was a miss here! My bacon was literally like plastic, not good at all. I had hopes since it was a 4 out of 5 but both the lunch sandwiches & breakfast meals were not good at all

Great little place to grab a quick bite to eat. Came here on a whim trying to decide whether or not to head out to the West Village for brunch or stay local, as the hotel I was staying in was right down the street. I’m glad I found this place, it’s fast and not too full, compared to other diners or cafés. Food was fresh, and tasty. Will definitely be back when I’m back in NYC.

The only explanation for 4 stars is dumb tourists and Midtown being a cultural wasteland. Pancakes were dry and gross. Served with Kraft syrup… not exactly healthy and there’s no way those dehydrated disks could be eaten plain. Coffee tasted like it came pre-ground and from a can. Pancakes were cold for my stay-in order. Staff was nice and it was clean. Their idea of «healthy» is consuming 3 days of sugar in one sitting. These shitty«health» cafes have exploded in cities. I hope the fad dies soon.

Incompetent beyond belief. I placed an order through Unilocal, received the confirmation. Went to pick it up 15 minutes later. They asked for my name and said«Ok, its coming.» 5 minutes later, they asked, «What did you order?» I told them, they said, «oh yeah, its coming.» 10 minutes later, nothing, I asked what was going on. They said, «Sorry, we don’t have it. Do you want me to take your order?» So not only did they lose the order, but they lied to me and kept me waiting for 15 minutes for absolutely no reason? How is this place still in business?

I was looking for a quick lunch and dropped in here and was immediately impressed by the variety of selections. It is typical of an NYC deli-type café, so there was a sandwich/panini station, a smoothie bar, salads, soups, hot entrée items, and bakery items. The bakery items seemed pretty healthy(gluten free, etc.). I ordered a broccoli and chicken quesadilla. It was a large portion, and came with 3 different sauces/dips. I also requested pesto sauce on the side. The quesadilla was delicious! Nice and hot, melted cheese, grilled chicken and onions and broccoli all went well together. I would just recommend that they put the prices next to each item, as most places would. Instead, prices are listed on several screens up above, which is inconvenient because the menu screen keeps switching. Otherwise, I also enjoyed the experience because the place was clean, not crowded, and had plenty of space.

I got a bagel and cream cheese, my friend got egg and cheese with bacon. The bacon is faux. The type you can microwave at home. The bagel is like rubber. Not a place where you can justify this type of food. This is New York!

Very clean sandwich and salad place for lunch. Brightly lit, self sit tables in the rear. Staff works hard to please you and keep it nice. Turkey sandwich was filling and fresh.

I got a salad delivered last night. The cucumbers were slimy and awful tasting. I guess rotting in the heat, not kept right. If you can’t make a salad, forget it.

Man, that was tasty! A cafeteria style deli-lunch counter. Lots of options, the price was great and the food was really good, all freshly prepared while we watched. A great b-fast or lunch option at a very reasonable price.

This review is for lunch take-out only. Tasty. Freshly prepared. Quick service, both preparation and check-out at lunch time. Staff with positive attitude. For midtown, competitive prices. [Yes, high prices if from out-of-town.] I enjoyed the Smoked Salmon with cream cheese on a toasted bagel. Fresh, tasty and appetizing presentation. Fine alternative choice versus expensive area hotel breakfasts or lunch. Yes, plastic plates and tableware keep things simple and inexpensive. Plus: Small area to sit-in(no waiter service). Tip: for regulars, there is a frequent customer card. Tip II: you can call-in your order, or use their website.

I randomly stopped in here after 2 other places said they stopped serving breakfast(it was 11:08 and I was DYING for a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich) Not only was it super fresh and made right I front of me, but it was amazing. I ate it in like 3 seconds. Their iced coffee was really good too. The sandwich(eggs, cheese, bacon on a kaiser roll) and a large iced coffee was about 8 dollars.

Stopped in for lunch. Food was decent. I got an egg white veggie on wheat English muffin. And a salad. My only complaint was price. Egg sandwich most places is $ 3 – 4. This was $ 5.50. And my salad, no dressing, only 3 toppings was close to 10. Plus tax close to $ 17. Subway or something similar would have been more like $ 8 for both. Outside of price, food was fine and service was friendly.

This is a great café. They have a large variety of food to choose from. They have sandwiches, wraps, cooked food(such as chicken parmigiana, roasted chicken, etc), quesadillas, soup, etc. I ordered the mushroom and spinach quesadilla(about $ 7). It was generously filled with melting cheese(I think it’s cheddar). It was so filling I couldn’t even finish it. I also saw a buffalo chicken quesadilla option, which my friend says is pretty good as well. I also got a Pina Colada smoothie. It was great, but I think they added a little too much crushed ice in there. $ 4.50 for a 16 oz, $ 5 for a 20 oz. They have a decent selection of soup. They offer the little cups so you can sample them. I tried the clam chowder. It’s good, but was a little surprised the soup wasn’t as thick in consistency as I expected it to be. Not saying it’s bad though.

I was looking for a quick, cheap spot to pick up lunch near my office. I was drawn here by the Unilocal reviews. I ordered a California wrap, which had been sitting behind a glass counter. It tasted like it had been sitting there for at least a few hours. Also, it was somewhat bland. After taxes, the wrap came out to $ 7.61, which is cheap by city standards, but still, not worth it. The staff were friendly and super quick though.

REVIEWONLUNCHCATERINGONLY. 3.5 Stars. Our office manager organized a food tasting with a huge assortment. Everything I had was pretty good and but colleagues’ reviews were mixed. My Samplings: 1) CHICKENMILPERO sandwich($ 7.50): grilled chicken, white cheddar cheese, roasted pepper and onions, avocado, chipotle spread on an Italian Pocket. Tasty combo but bread is a bit greasy. 2) COCONUTSHRIMP — think only on catering menu but worth the add but they won’t be hot upon arrival. Still tasty. More on sweet side. 3) CHIPOTLESWEETPOTATOANDQUINOA($ 3.99) — I had no sweet potatoes :( 4) CHICKENBOWTIECAESARSALAD($ 3.79) — fine, nothing special *Props to their Going Green initiatives!
