I went here for the first time on Christmas Eve they took me right away which was great. The gel manicure was OK. She kind of just BLOBBED the glitter on which made me look like a 5 year old did it. Then just a few days later they peeled off as easy as cvs stick on nails would. I’m pissed and will not be returning this definitely shouldn’t have happened. Stay away.

I’ll give them two stars for cleanliness but tonight will be my last visit. I have been a loyal customer for over a year. The last time i came here, my visit cost $ 18.00, however i was carelessly charged $ 180.00, as a mistake with no apology, and no compensation. I would at least think that for such a major mistake costing me way more taken out of my account than should have, i would have been treated a bit better. In the end, i was finally refunded my money after 5 business days, i thought i would give them another try tonight since i have been coming here for so long. When i came in, i was greeted with a unfriendly disposition, an attitude and a rushed manicure. I explained to the girl that i only had my credit card but i would return with a cash tip(they only accept cash tips) for her tomorrow. She rolled her eyes at me, and didn’t speak the entire time she was giving me a mani cure. At the end of my manicure, she did not help me with my wallet or cell phone, thus i smudged the nail polish. She tried to move the smudged nail polish over rather than fixing it. I kindly asked her to please remove the entire nail polish on my nail, which she finally did after trying to put 4 additional coats on top of the 2 coats that were already there. All in all, it was a terrible experience this evening and i will never return. I have never felt so disrespected as a customer. Take note, Tara.

I’ve been going to get my nails done by Tara for years. She is the best in town. She has another location close by. She always does an amazing job with my acrylic nails. Her staff is great too. I highly recommend her.

At best this place is mediocre. They charged $ 2 extra to use a razor to my callous’ but failed to mentioned that until after she started. Bringing the total to $ 25. It took over an hour for her to finish my pedicure while I was getting a mani done at the same time. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back here again unless there was an absolute last minute emergency and even so id rather make the trek to 30th Av or something before I consider coming here again.

I LOVE this place! So clean, friendly, affordable and homey. They always make you feel welcome and special. Nails, pedicures, threading and waxing… all professional and beautifully done. And let’s not forget the free massage while drying! I’ve tried so many places, nobody does it better. Try it once, you’ll keep going back.

For a $ 25 manicure in Queens I expect wayyyy better than this. Everyone was nice and i appreciated that sex and the city was on the tv, but that’s about all. My nails chipped after one day. Irritating. Cash Only tips, also irritating. I won’t be back unless I’m totally desperate.

I was really a fan of Tara Nails before my last visit. I’d been before for manicures(both gel and regular), and one pedicure. I’d never had a problem. I went for a gel before dinner, and wanted to do a french manicure. I’ve never before had a french manicure done free-hand. I’ve always had them do a sloppy line that they clean up with a paint brush to make it perfect. Tara charged $ 5 more for a french manicure, and yet it was so sloppy. I went in the next day to have it fixed with a different color all together, and was told it’d be a $ 15 charge. Then, they lowered it to $ 10 because it was just one day old. I was so frustrated. They should have done it for free based on the crooked manicure I had received the day before. I’ll continue making the trek to Kikki’s nails on 30th from now on.
