Tortas, cemitas and al pastor? I’m sold! My Milanesa torta transformed my bleh Wednesday into a hooray Wednesday! Yummy, good portion, fair price. Taco truck guys are nice too. Perfect to grab lunch before studying or class!

Run by the same guys who operate the Taqueria Garibaldi truck during the day near NYU /​Washington Square Park. Heavy portions, juicy meats, fresh ingredients, and succulent authentic sauces — these guys know what they’re doing. The food has not once missed a beat since I was first introduced to their food in 2012. Menu favorites include carnitas tacos (the best in the city), carnitas enchiladas (unbelievable tomatillo sauce), carnitas platters, tortas, and tostadas. Vegetarian tacos come with fresh avocado!

AL PASTOR IS AMAZING. The pineapple and the spices work soooo well together.
Also order a carne asada which I’m not so pumped about, it was a bit dry.
Get the al pastor though you wont regret it!!!

I had their carne asada quesadilla for $ 6, and it was SUPER filling! It had a little spice to it too which I liked, hehe. They were parked right outside of NYU, which was nice and convenient!

My new second favorite food truck that parks near NYU (Waffles & Dinges still wins). The tacos are quite good: corn tortillas topped with meat, onions, a paste-​like salsa, and cilantro. Each taco comes with its own slice of lime, which I thought was a nice touch. They also serve burritos, tortillas, nachos and a few other typical Mexican food items that I can’t remember now.
They get backed up during lunch hours but have a phone number that you can call ahead of time to order.
