The Wi-​Fi in the store doesn’t work!
That should have tipped me off right then. But I have no choice. I NEED «Unlimited» Internet. It’s in quotes because nobody has true unlimited internet. I will be throttled. But I just can’t afford the overage charges that I would undoubtedly get from Verizon or AT&T.
And my Employer Discount… Oh. My. God. I was in the store for an HOUR AND A HALF trying to get my 15% employer discount. 15% is a lot, so I stuck it out just to make sure I got it.
I didn’t get it. At least not yet. They applied some generic 12% and sent me on my way. I anticipate having to deal with this nonsense at a later date. *sigh*
Since I have an unlocked phone, the whole «no contract» thing is good. But where am I going, really? The new International Roaming is interesting. I need to plan a trip in order see how that works out. Not having to swap SIM cards must be a good deal.
The staff at this location is friendly, and it’s not their fault that not only is the company computer system slow as molasses in winter… but that they don’t have a decent system of listing Employer Discounts. But that could be because they really don’t want to give anyone a discount anyway.
As long as my monthly bill stays below $ 80, I don’t care.
