I just ordered a spicy tuna, spicy salmon, spicy yellowtail roll. Um I’m pretty sure all i got was half spicy tuna and half spicy crab… I called and they were like«oh no we make all spicy rolls orange?» the quality was decent, and delivery on time, but definitely not what i ordered!

I’ve been a regular customer for many years. What keeps me coming back is the freshness/quality of the food, attentive service and luncheon special pricing until 3:30 pm, 7 days a week. Example: Lunch Bento for $ 9.75 includes miso soup, salad, rice, haru maki, California roll, tea … AND choice of either Tempura(shrimp and veggies), Teriyaki(chicken, salmon, beef, tofu OR vegetable), Katsu(chicken or ton), Beef Negimaki or Yakitori. Other lunch specials include 3 rolls for $ 10.25 or $ 12.95 depending on selection + miso or salad options. Not that hungry? Order 2 rolls for $ 8 or $ 9.50. Sushi, sashimi, chirashi, salmon, noodles and donburi are also favorably priced for lunch. There are also Dinner Bento Boxes, 29 different a la carte rolls and hand rolls, and 28 more elaborate Chef Special Rolls with the most pricy being a Sumo Roll($ 16.95) a big square roll, 8 pieces, with tuna, salmon & yellowtail outside &SPICY tuna with yuzu Miso sauce inside. Craving lobster? Then the Lobster Roll($ 14.95) with steamed lobster, scallion, mayo & roe inside wrapped with sliced avocado is a most definite YES, please!

Created a Unilocal account just to comment on this restaurant. The people here are amazingly rude. I asked if the miso soup was vegetarian and this lady literally yelled at me. So much for hospitality. I have literally never been treated so horribly this way in a restaurant. If you have dietary restrictions, do not trust these people!

A rip off. Got the black cod for $ 10 with 3 small, anemic pieces of soggy fish. Salmon roll with brown rice was $ 6 and rolls were tiny and unremarkable with some pieces of salmon skin. House salad was a good size but mostly iceberg lettuce, again unremarkable. Would order from somewhere else next time.

I had the sushi and sashimi combo, it was excellent. The fish was fresh and tasty, good quality for the price. I also liked the service from the restaurant, the waiter was fast and attentive. Would go there again.

Horrible!!! I will never order from here again. If you look at my other ratings you will see that I am not this harsh but let’s give credit where credit is due or not… Don’t waste your $$

My go-to neighborhood sushi joint never fails. The sushi is always fresh and flavorful. The special rolls are all well made and quite tasty, and the diverse menu provides enough variety for everyone – from the sushi novice to the sushi snob. For the tuna lover, try the Suzu Special roll! Prices are quite reasonable and won’t break your bank. The dining room is small with tables crammed everywhere, so I almost always do carryout.

Decent sushi in Manhattan. The lunch special are good deals. Service as prompt. I would definitely return here again.

There are so many sushi restaurants in the city so it can be hard to find one that has what you’re looking for. When I’m in the mood for sushi, I don’t want the crappy rolls found in restaurants that cater towards tourists and I find myself unwilling to pay exponential amounts for some decent rolls at a more high-end establishment. I generally prefer plain sashimi over rolls, and unfortunately it can be difficult to find decent, not overpriced sashimi in the city! In this case, I was able to get my sashimi fix without breaking the bank or sacrificing quality. I ordered the chirashi lunch special and I was very pleased. The fish was fresh and delicious and the serving was pretty generous as well. Good sashimi. Fair price. No complaints here.

I’ve been on the hunt for the best sushi delivery on the UES, and I think Suzu has topped the list! Their lunch specials are great — for $ 12.50 I got any 3 maki rolls + soup(a lot of places also offer salad as part of their special, but who cares about that anyway). Delivery was prompt, and the rolls were fresh, sizeable and delicious. The spicy salmon and spicy tuna were especially good. Definitely recommend if you’re an UESider craving sushi but refuse to leave the house!

A hidden sushi treasure! I love the Sushi here, the best I’ve had in NYC. I highly recommend the chef rolls. Specially: Mars roll, mango roll, shriek roll with Kiwi and Christmas roll. You can’t go wrong with the chef rolls. The only thing I can put my finger on is that last time I were there some of the pieces were a bit to big. But that’s not a big deal. Try it out!

Ordered delivery from this place at 9:39pm — they called me around 10:00pm to say that they were too busy so they had to push back my delivery to 10:30pm. Kind of crazy how a restaurant could still be busy at that hour… I got the Sushi deluxe($ 18.95 — a tuna roll, and 10 pieces of sushi), so not much prep involved at all. Very standard take-out sushi place, nothing special. I’m pretty sure it’s run by Chinese people as I heard them speaking Mandarin on the phone when they called(which is pretty common with Japanese take-out places in NYC). They definitely use the precut sashimi slices; rice was a bit on the hard side, hence the 3 star review.

This review is for delivery only. The boyfriend and I ordered from them one night as we wanted to explore other Asian options around our neighborhood aside from our usual haunts. This place had really good reviews on Unilocal so we decided to try it out. First and foremost, they deliver VERY quickly! If you’re starving and need to eat right now, you’ve found your spot. Food-wise, we both got the tofu teriyaki entrée which came with rice, salad, miso soup, and bean sprouts on the side. It was pretty average, nothing special. The bean sprouts were tasteless so they’re probably meant to be mixed in with the teriyaki sauce. I was also craving for something with crab stick so I got their crab stick roll which was $ 2.50. I expected there to be 2 rolls in the order(for the price) but it was literally just one small sad piece. I felt very sad just looking at it. I personally think that this place is just alright. Having said that, I haven’t actually tried their raw sushi which most people here seem to have gotten. Overall, I will probably give this place another shot(especially when I’m super hungry) but definitely won’t be getting the food that I ordered before.

Found this place through Seamless and decided to try it out. Ordered two lunch combos(one 2 sushi roll combo and another 3 sushi roll combo.) First off, delivery was very quick which was was a plus because my friend and I were very hungry. Second, the most important part: the food. This was honestly the worst sushi I’ve ever had. First time getting sushi from the city… Big mistake. I’m sticking to my normal queens sushi(y). We got the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, eel, Alaskan and spicy crab rolls. They all legit tasted old and not fresh at all. Third, I FOUND A NASTY A** HAIRONTOPOFONEPIECE as soon as I opened it. I was so disgusted I couldn’t eat any of my sushi that was in that container, so basically my meal mostly consisted of the salad and like only 5 pieces(which were I repeat tasted very old and not fresh) Wouldn’t recommend to anyone like ever…

I’ve had much better neighborhood sushi than this. I ordered for Seamless delivery and the food came 15 minutes after the estimated time on the confirmation. Not too big of a deal… The sushi was just bad. The fish was unusually bland. So bland that it was hard to distinguish between the different types that were on the sushi deluxe platter. This is very strange. There was also a bad after taste to it. It probably wasn’t fresh. Overall, it’s just not worth it. I see some Unilocalers listing this as a value spot but I disagree. It’s averagely priced for a neighborhood take out joint, but the food is not at that level.

This is hands down my favorite sushi place in all of Manhattan. Decently priced, super fresh, great menu, and each roll has so much fish. I used to live above the restaurant, and my roommate and I ordered multiple times a week. There’s nothing lol suzu in Chelsea as good. We just came back to the first time in a year and it’s still amazing. We love you suzu!

This place is very well-priced. The combos are a great deal for dinner. 1. Katsu don: your classic fried pork cutlets over rice. Delicious and satisfying. 2. Spicy tuna roll: pretty good, nothing amazing but decently priced at around $ 5. Nice and simple. The fish was decently fresh and had good flavor. 3. Salmon teriyaki box: this came with a small side salad, miso soup, shrimp tempura, salmon, and a regular tuna roll. Overall ambience is simple. Not really a romantic place, but it’s cozy and comfortable.

«Decent Little Sushi Place» This place is pretty standard in terms of sushi. For the dinner combo plate for about 20 bucks, you can choice from 7 entrees, a California or tuna roll, soup, salad, tempura, miso soup, AND a scoop of ice cream. Quite a bit of food huh. The food is pretty standard but nothing to «WOW» about. The service and staff are pretty friendly. Plus, the prices are much better than the sushi place that is around the corner on 59th street. The only small compliant that I have about this place is that the restaurant smells a little fishy when you arrive but you get used to it by the time your miso soup arrives.

Eh. Not particularly good or bad just… eh, quaint spot in a sea of noisy nouveau joints on the midtown upper east side. I needed a quick sushi fix so I Unilocaled the highest rated spot I could find. It’s a neighborhood joint-does a lot of takeout. But let’s get down to Buisness. Rolls were crumbly-not tightly pressed. Thus caused unleashing of ingredients and lots of spillage. Veggie dumplings kind of funky tasting-like sundried tomatoes. Wasabi not strong very mild. The fish was ok-nothing to write Unilocal about. Service great. Next time I’ll keep rolling by.

This review is for Seamless delivery only: SUPER quick delivery, under ~20 mins after I ordered at 7pm. They didn’t even get my order wrong! I got salmon avocado roll, spicy salmon handroll, and beef negimaki. The fish tasted fresh and good quality(I ordered on a Monday too. which I guess supposedly would be leftover fish from the weekend) Definitely ordering from here again if this good service/quality continues! Will update review if anything changes.
