I was thrilled with the extraordinarily beautiful and creative center piece I ordered for my Christmas dining table. Surroundings far exceeded my expectations. The arrangement included a breathtaking combination of flowers, both exotic (deep purple calla lilies and orchids), and standard (roses, deep red tulips, amaryllis, and pyracantha), that I would never have thought of myself. It is now 6 days later and it is still fresh and beautiful, only the tulips had to be removed last night. The arrangement survived a dinner party, a cocktail party and Christmas dinner. Totally worth the price. Their new location on Broadway and 102^nd is convenient, the service was extremely friendly and efficient, plus they gave me a neighborhood discount! Surroundings will be my first choice from now going forward.

Very upset with the arrangement I ordered from them. They added baby pink roses to a fall arrangement I ordered. I saw the arrangement on the website and pictures on Instagram and none of their fall arrangements had baby pink roses in them. Very disappointing since the arrangement cost me over $ 100 and my friend recommended them to me. They could of at least called me and said they ran out of flowers but that didn’t happen either. Not gonna order from there again.

Always perfect — forget 1800flowers and flowersdotcom; they deliver garbage, this site is worth every dime every time for office delivery or to family at home.

Surroundings Flowers was my venue for my wedding this weekend, and I can’t speak well enough of my experience with them. Diane was my contact and contrary to what another reviewer said, she was extremely warm, friendly, and patient and she designed the most exquisite bouquets and arrangements for my special day. She was absolutely wonderful to work with, understanding of my budget and taste, and I got so many compliments on the flowers during my wedding, and I especially loved the arch for my ceremony.
Incredibly happy with my experience working with Surroundings and I would highly recommend them.

My husband and I were married in Fort Tryon Park at New Leaf and we chose Surroundings as our florist. We worked directly with Diane Wagner for all of our wedding flower needs. She was wonderful to work with and her experience with the industry truly shows. When we met with her the first time, she was extremely patient and offered many creative suggestions to help us stay within our budget, while still creating the look and feel that we wanted. On the second visit, she had created a beautiful mock up for the table flower arrangements that was exactly right. We also had a garden arch brought in on late notice, and she was happy to help decorate it for us on the day of the wedding. I really loved the way everything came out on the day of the wedding — the flowers arrangements were simple and beautiful, just how we wanted. I highly recommend Surroundings!

Surroundings Flowers has always done an exquisite job for my events. It was such a pleasure working with people who know how to get the job done. Whether it be a family function or a wedding, I will be using Surroundings for all of my special events. The design style is simple, beautiful and elegant. Their customer service is exceptional. My husband and I recently got married at the Stone Mill in the Botanical Gardens, and we used Surroundings. Diane and her team truly surpassed expectations – the flowers were exquisite, and she made an absolutely stunning arch for our ceremony with autumn leaves and branches. They transformed the venue, and made me a beautiful bridal bouquet. Even though I was unclear about what I envisioned, Diane somehow managed to transform it into reality, and her knowledge of the space really helped with the details that made the evening so beautiful. I recommend them without hesitation.

My husband and I were overjoyed with the flowers for our wedding at the New York Botanical Garden. The arrangements captured the combination of whimsy, fresh-​picked vibrancy and elegance we were looking for. Diane Wagner at Surroundings is great to work with. She returns e-​mails and phone calls promptly and worked within our budget. She has an amazing repertoire of ideas for floral design and patiently worked with us as our ideas changed through the planning process. On our wedding day, she was organized and cheerful, as was her assistant. When I saw the flowers, I realized just how carefully Diane had considered all of my ideas, requests, concerns in our many exchanges. Surroundings did a beautiful job and we give them our highest recommendation.

I can’t say enough good things about Surroundings, and Diane Wagner in particular. My husband and I recently married at the NY Botanical Garden, an Abigail Kirsch venue, and we chose Surroundings as our florist because we loved Diane’s classical approach to floral design. I enjoyed each meeting with Diane, who is kind and calming. I also found her easy to communicate with between visits– she responds quickly and helpfully over email and by phone.
My husband and I had only a general idea of what we wanted for flowers, and Diane transformed this into gorgeous, personalized bouquets and centerpieces that really captured the spirit of our wedding. We wanted to feature local varieties of flowers in season, and Diane gave us charming wedding flowers that looked like they’d been freshly picked from a garden.
Diane regularly checked in with us to make sure we were happy with the design. On the wedding day I noticed that she had added special touches in the bridal bouquet and sweetheart table centerpiece– she really went above and beyond to make our wedding beautiful.
I felt that Diane was careful to respect our budget, though, and she was honest with us about what we needed to spend money on and what we could skip. We felt we got a great value on our flowers.
Diane’s staff was cheerful and professional– I enjoyed seeing them at work in the Harlem office, and they did a fantastic job setting up on the wedding day.
All in all, I highly recommend Surroundings.

Surroundings is currently located in Harlem on the second floor of a building that looks otherwise not very welcoming.
I met with Diane and Becca; Diane is the main person for wedding flowers. She was very professional yet not very warm. She had lots of good ideas and was not phased the times when I had no answers about my vision. However, she didn’t really hear me out when I said, for example, that I didn’t want flowers on the tables. I could just see the price going up and up and up.
Also, I was not offered to see any of the flower arrangements which they had done before, which I found very strange.
I don’t doubt they’d do a great job, but I’m going to keep looking for a florist.

We were recently married at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers and chose Surroundings as our florist. Tara and Steven were extremely friendly, available and helpful. Everything at our event looked amazing — from the bouquets to the ceremony décor to the centerpieces. I even had a request for hanging votives over the dance floor and they looked fabulous.. . Everything looked better than I had envisioned and well exceeded my expectations.

Paid $ 238 for their «Multitude of Reds» package for Valentines day. The flowers that were delivered were very unhealthy looking. While a few eventually bloomed, a lot were wilted and crusty within 72 hours, a few within the first day. I will caveat that I put my order in Valentines afternoon so selection may have been thin, but I would rather they told me they did not have any good flowers left than deliver what they did. Staring at the sad looking collection my girlfriend got, I cannot help but feel ripped off (and a little embarrassed).
On the plus side, they managed to deliver same day even though I put the order in at 1pm.

This florist is one of a select few available for patrons of Abigail Kirsch catering establishments. My fiancée and myself contacted Surroundings several times by internet soliciting information, appointments, etc. but never received a response. We finally set up an appointment via telephone two weeks in advance. Several other committments were broken in order to make the appointment. We took a cab to Surroundings only to find them closed with their security bars down. Attempts to contact them resulted simply in voicemail. If they cannot keep a simple, double confirmed appointment, they surely cannot provide acceptable floral service.
