I had a negative experience here recently that made me leave and take my business elsewhere. I generally do wash and fold which is approximately $ 1.50 per pound and is reasonable. I recently dropped off a bag containing some clothes and a small fleece blanket. Without any notice they washed the blanket a special way and charged me $ 25 for just the blanket. Then, they charged me $ 17.50 for just 6 pounds of clothes because $ 17.50 is apparently the minimum (which would have likely been hit if they had left the blanket in the batch. When I contacted the store to express my surprise and concern, there was absolutely no sympathy or concern for losing my business after having been a regular customer for nearly a year. Luckily, this was only an overcharge without warning, but I imagine that even in a more serious situation they would not care or do anything to rectify the situation.

I recommend taking your business elsewhere. They are pricey, but I would use them occasionally because of the convenience, as I live around the corner. I recently had a problem and I have never experienced such rudeness and dishonesty. They lost a pair of pants I had brought in to be hemmed, and after me going back and forth with them and my doormen, I determined they were never delivered. I know this because every delivery received by my building is tracked and there was no record of it. When I went back the final time to ask for reimbursement, they refused. The woman told me she wasn’t responsible but I refused to accept this, since I could prove the delivery was never made. I basically had a screaming match with the woman who tried to get me to leave by saying she was sick and I was killing her. I have never encountered such a ridiculous situation. As a business owner, she should abide by the rule that the customer is always right. Instead, she proceeded to scream at me and play the sympathy card, even threatening to call the police (which I was actually hoping for), and telling the delivery boy to call an ambulance. Bottom line: horrible, rude, dishonest people. There are a bunch of other places in the neighborhood that you won’t be abused by.

We used to use the woefully substandard Sunshine Cleaners due to no other reason than its proximity to our apartment.
I’ve never dealt with such rude and unhelpful people. They lost a pair of expensive custom made pants and a favorite shirt and their only response was to try and blame it on us. When their obfuscation and constant disingenuousness were illustrated to them they just laughed and pointed to their caveat emptor sign above the doorway. Not even a hint of meet-​me-​halfway compromise. This, to multi-​year loyal customers.
There are superior, more noble options in our neighborhood which I implore you to choose over this shabby and shoddy excuse for a service business. Shameful.

I’ve only gone here for alterations. They are on the pricey side, but the work was always good and done on time. If you need a place in the area this will do, but if you find someplace to do good work cheaper go with that.
