We were handed a coupon for 10% off on a nearby corner by a friendly looking man, which gave us the idea to come in. Pretty standard stuff, what you would expect from a Subway. One thing of note is there are about 12 tables for seating, more than most other subways in New York. Also has a restroom for customers, which is a perk after walking in Central Park.

Quick service but the workers always try to get me to double up meat, get some guacamole or get some bacon on top. I don’t ever see them do that to customers that aren’t asian women. Today I was extra hungry and couldn’t choose between breakfast at the food carts of subway. Since it was snowing there are no food carts. So I went into subway as usual. To my surprise, I regret going there. Today is the first time this has happened, which is that they gave me the wrong sauce. I order this sandwich 2 – 3 times a week except weekends. I always order the same thing and deny anything extra. My favorite sandwich from then is the turkey Italiano melt with provolone cheese, lettuce, green peppers and vinaigrette. When I was ordering she ask me if I was ready which was ironic because she was the one who wasn’t ready. She kept looking at the cash register guy and talking to him in their language. When I told her turkey Italiano melt, she was like okay. Then got distracted and asked me what I wanted. I repeated it and said with provolone cheese. Then she put everything but the cheese and asked me what cheese. I repeated it. She toasted it. Then it was time for veges and I say green peppers and she was putting on the lettuce while looking distracted, then ask me what else. I repeated. Then she was like what sauce while I was saying vinaigrette. We talked at the same time. I started choosing chips because I wanted a meal and not wanting to hold up the line, and little did I know, she put honey mustard in my sandwich. I only found out upon eating my sandwich that the sandwich tasted rather sweetening. It was kind of gross. It’s like honey mustard on a pepperoni pizza. I want to be nice and not ask for another sandwich. If they can do better next time I’ll fix this review. I always eat here and it’s not a tough job to just get my order right. I paid 7.99 and tax for something that I can’t eat and don’t want to eat because it tastes weird. Hopefully, I can give the other half to a starving stranger.

For a subway restaurant this one is generally pretty clean and very efficiently run so it’s easy to get a sandwich fast anytime of the day. It’s right outside the subway stop at Columbus Circle so that is an added plus.

Way too d&mn expensive! My meal cost me almost 3 bucks extra here than any other subway I’ve been to. $ 10 for a 6 inch sandwich meal just doesn’t fly for me. Definitely my last time going there

Typical subway. Line moves quick and they are friendly. They did use the same knife to bend my sandwich as they did the previous sandwich without wiping it off. I wasn’t thrilled about that. If I wanted the previous guys food, I would have ordered it.

This subway location is a solid location. Near Columbus Circle where I work, so easy in and out for a quick lunch. I haven’t eaten inside the restaurant, but there are always tables available even during the lunch rush hour. Occasionally there is a line of people but the line always moves relatively quickly. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes for lunch. Bonus points because they know how to make my pizza sub. They offer discounts for people who work nearby as well as students with an ID. The staff that works there is friendly. Sometimes the place is a little bit in need of a cleaning. And more than often the credit card machine is not working. The bathroom is not bad, but like typical NYC establishments are for customers only… but of course, there are always people in there using the bathroom for the bathroom purposes. Definitely good for a quick stop for lunch or quick dinner, but take your sandwich home or back to work.

Great location near Columbus Circle! I was volunteering at the TCS New York City Marathon and in desperate need of breakfast. I walked in and there were no lines. I was disappointed by the limited breakfast options and had to settle for the steak and eggs. The steak was bland and the sandwich as a whole was not worth $ 7. Can I get a refund? To add insult to injury, I did not have my rewards card to collect my points.

The worst Subway ever! Put items(olives) on my salad I didn’t order. Supposed 10% special discount printed on receipt but not deducted. Just wanted some veggies…

Stopped in here for lunch. They did have a decent amount of tables and chairs for us to sit at. I had the Subway Club, which was tasty. While the staff members were fine while making my sandwich, I noticed on my receipt that they charged me twice for a bag of chips. At least they apologized and refunded me that amount, which was good. The only restroom in that place is okay, but could be better. They don’t even have a mirror in there. Well, at least my sandwich was very good overall.

One of the best subway restaurants I have been in. Very efficient service, and fresh ingredients. Not sure why this place has some bad reviews, probably the management has changed recently or something, but I have been there a few times and had some delicious subs.

Worst subway by far!!! I have been there many times since its close by. I’ve been over charged more than once, been charged for extra sodas, and today I asked for the cookies that were closest to me, and the guy said«they’re all the same buddy» and grabbed the cookies that were old. So much for customer service. I will not go back here. I will walk the extra block to go to a subway that is friendlier.

I used to come to this Subway every weekend, sometimes twice, for a morning sandwich. Sure it’s not the cleanest Subway or the one with the freshest ingredients, but hey it got the job done and it was pretty good. I love those new Subways with the big vacuum seal window that comes down over the top of the ingredients to keep them fresh. Unfortunately, this Subway doesn’t have that. But I still like it. And the people that work there are nice.

I’ve encountered some of the least intelligent counter staff at this particular Subway. Not the girl running the register. She is the only saving grace of this place, and deserves to be paid triple that of the rest of the staff. The guys actually making the sandwiches? They only talk to each other and don’t listen to you. You literally have to shout at them when they start putting the wrong thing on your sandwich. Sadly there’s not many better options in the area and they do give discounts to pretty much ever school in the area, as well as Time Warner employees.

I’ll be blunt, this Subway sucks. The only good thing about this place is that I receive something that resembles and tastes like a sandwich. I’ve gone a few times only so far, but only because it’s close to where I work and I can get a decent foot-long sub for $ 5 and change. A constant problem here is that the A/C inside doesn’t work very often. On a hot summer day, waiting on the line can be unbearable. Definitely wouldn’t eat in. I can’t imagine what the workers have to endure. The heat must be playing tricks on them. Because when I ordered a hearty Italian bread, I received a plain. Before I could even say anything though, it was sliced and topped with the meat of choice. Thanks, man. I guess the only good thing was the sort-of-fast service. But it doesn’t get any better as the sandwich moves down the line. When it comes to veggies, they skimp on it. A LOT. Be prepared to ask for them to put a little more as you will find it hard to believe there were any onions, peppers or lettuce on it after you ask the first time. Be sure to also ask slowly, one veggie at a time because they won’t remember. I don’t think it’s reasonably hard to remember unless you blaze through like a bunch of it in a few seconds. Anyways, I’m sure if your a frequent visitor to Subway’s, you’ve been to a better location than here. HEYCOLUMBUSCIRCLESUBWAY, if your’re reading this, train your employees better and tell them to add more veggies on the sandwiches. Fix your A/C to lure in more customers, not to mention make it more comfortable for the employees to work. Wouldn’t hurt to get a smile with the service either… =]

Not a fan. As another reviewer mentioned, their operational flow here is totally whack. Today, I had to yell out my veggies from four people back and subsequently the guy kept picking up the wrong things. When I told the guy that he put on the wrong type of peppers, he threw them back into the bin after they had touched my chicken teriyaki. Wha?! Also, this place is notorious for skimping on the veggies. Customers in line are constantly saying stuff like«more olives, lots more olives» and«more peppers, please!» What the heck? I know we’re in the long-tail of the recession, but give me a break! Also, they’re kind of messy sandwich makers. I had to wash my hands thoroughly since sauce was all over the place. Guys: take your time, do it right, and give us real servings of veggies!

Yesterday I tried recreating an Ethiopian dish using raw meat, and apparently I went about it the wrong way, so today I’ve been spending a lot of time around the bathroom — when I was finally ready to eat something, I thought what could be easier on my stomach, what would be more humdrum and inoffensive than Subway. This place is a nightmare. The guy at the counter screams«NEXT» when he’s still helping the customer before you and the customer before them, none of the customers know where to stand or what to do, then you’re rushed to the next guy who throws a bunch of disorderly disheveled ingredients into your sandwich, then you’re rushed to the cash register to the guy that finds every way possible to rip you off… Horribly impatient, horribly rude, horribly stingy… Never again!

Sandwiches are always made fresh in front of you upon arrival. The staff that works here speaks little English or struggle with their broken English skills. Shredded cheese is an extra fee to the American cheese or Swiss cheese. Price is about average for a cold sandwich of $ 5.50. This location does not have any seating either outdoor or indoor where it’s simply a take-out only. Disappointedly this location does not open late as I work the closing shift until 9PM to grab a sandwich on my way home.
