Sterling Affair Catering & Events

Was just in NYC for a gala event at Ellis Island. Sterling Affair was the caterer and I have never been more blown away by food! It was as good as any of city’s top restaurants and has set a new bar in terms of my expectations. I also recently attended several high end weddings in New York and only wish my friends had known of Sterling Affair.

This catering company was hired for my college reunion gala. Everyone had a lovely time at the event, which was well planned by the school, however during the dancing portion of the gala many things were stolen from our tables. From my table alone a cell phone, two scarves, and even a pair of shoes went missing. I had spoken to the manager from the catering company who was present at the event and he brushed me off saying there was no way his staff could be responsible. The cell phone bill of the phone that was stolen showed there had been a call made after it had been turned off and gone missing. That number was traced, and indeed, the number indicated on the bill had no connection to university alumni whatsoever.
I called the company twice, not thinking any of the stolen merchandise would be returned, but, thinking that the company might take some sort of action to ensure the same thing wouldn’t happen at a future event. No one has returned my calls or even heard me out.
Imagine hiring this company for a wedding and having your guests robbed while they’re on the dance floor? Not my way of showing people a good time.

Our wedding at the New York Academy of Medicine was wonderful, JP from Sterling Affair worked with us to plan the day exactly as we hoped. Our guests loved the food, the venue was beautiful and JP thought of all the little things I didn’t realize we’d need (a room for me to get ready, someone assigned to help us with cards people gave us and prepare a plate of food for us as we were running around greeting our guests). Thank you so much for helping make our reception spectacular!
