I feel like I say this too much in regards to Chelsea’s galleries, but the spaces aren’t being used to the best advantage. Stellan Holm gallery is one such space… the show, featuring Till Gerhard, had a grungy feel to it. Not much care seemed to be given to the arrangement or the tidiness of the rooms, and it also had a yucky smell that was amplified by the heat being on(it was almost 70 degrees out… come on now!!). All that being said(sorry Stellan Holm… I will revise this in the future if you do better)… the artist was a unique one for being promoted in Chelsea, as he is a fairly prominent German painter. It’s his third show at the gallery, and will be up through June 28th. Deets: Gallery hours: Tues– Sat. 10 – 6:00
