I really like this one! It’s kind of hidden from the major streets, and since there are so many Starbucks in this area, this is not a touristy one. I think it’s a great place to get work done on the weekends, although they don’t really have accessible outlets. There are two areas with tables, one having a row of padded seats, although the backing is not padded. For such a small space, there are a lot of seats. The food and coffee offerings are that of a standard Starbucks, but the space is lofted and bright since the walls are mostly glass looking out onto the street as well as the beautiful courtyard of the Bloomberg building. I don’t know how hectic this place gets during the week, but I’ll be back on the weekends to get some work done.

This Starbucks is near the 7-bus stop heading to Long Island. I spent some time here while waiting for the 7-bus. It is not difficult to find. There is a restroom inside. Overall just another Starbucks store. I’m kind of a Starbucks fan. Four stars. Update: I found this store has very limited power outlets to charge computers. Three stars.

I enjoyed coming here every morning and for daily coffee breaks up until yesterday. Barista with a name tag«Roberto«was very rude to a lady that complained about not wanting whip cream on her drink and clearly does not care to hear her nor want to fix his mistake. The lady had 3 drjnk orders, 1 was wrong and it would be very easy to say let me make a new one for you. Instead he says«why are you being extra«and starts to mumble, laugh with his coworkers and the poor lady looked at him with utter shock, confused and finally talked back to him. The cashier who took the order corrected this Roberto and informed him the cup where marked no whip cream and it was his mistake but he offered no apology and laughed at her instead. Well this is when I walked away and decided to try Petes Coffee Shop !!(around the block on 3 avenue & Loved it !!) Starbucks should really train their employees because had that lady been my mother, I would have taken this complaint with their management. Mistakes happen and a little sorry goes a long way. I shared the story with my fellow coworkers and we will be using our hard earned $$ elsewhere.

This Starbucks is located on the first floor of one of the city’s finest glass skyscrapers. It has two entrances, one facing 58th Street and the other facing the beautiful elliptical courtyard of One Beacon Court, which connects 58th St to 59th. Very close to Bloomingdales and the busy Lexington/59th intersection. This location in particular is small for a Starbucks but not cramped. There are about 8 small tables spaced apart pretty nicely for the store’s size. I don’t think most people know there’s a Starbucks here, which is a steal, especially in the middle of East Midtown!(Oh why did I have to give this secret away…)
